when i tried this a little while ago, i did not get the option for cheap shipping. that must have ended at the end of business day or something? i hate not knowing when a promo offer expires. could be midnight, could be a different time zone, could be end of business day, etc. AND even if i opted for $4.99 shipping, my promo code would not allow me to use towards shipping. i was going to be charged $4.99 even if my subtotal was well under $10. anyone els have these problems?
Yeah, the fun ended at 12 midnite edt. That has happened to me too in the past. It’s great that blogs post great deals, but I know it can be hard for them sometimes to get every last detail in there. The good news is that Vitacost does this type of promo quite often. For example, I missed out on the $2.22 shipping offer in Feb [either due to high traffic or maybe that it had ended at 9 pacific-time too], and so yesterday I knew “exactly” what I wanted to order. And your items will remain in your cart for a while too. Cross your fingers, the next deal is probably right around the corner. :o)

Ok, this is weird. Back in Feb when they ran this deal, I posted my referral link under the comments section on Collins post. I got 1 referral and I haven’t referred anyone else or used my link since. Now this morning when I checked my email, I have 7 new referrals. ?? The crazy thing is they aren’t listed as real names and they are almost identical. The first name is asdf or some variation of that and the email is strange too. I think it’s spam somehow? I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen. I don’t actually get a coupon code until they make a purchase, so I guess we’ll see, but I doubt I’m getting 7 referrals.
Well, something was ordered under one of the accts. So I guess it is an actual acct, not spam. This morning I had an email saying I earned my $10.00 reward. So odd. I suppose they have 6 more accts, so we’ll see if I get 6 more rewards. If I do, I’ll just be happy they chose my link to sign under lol
Oh, and for those that are new to vitacost. I recommend if you get more than one referral, wait until they all have the “approved” status. If you click to get your referral code right away, it will only give you a code for the 10.00. If you wait till all the referrals are approved, it will give you a code with all the referrals that are available. So if you have 5 ppl signed up under you, wait till they all order and you will have a code worth 50.00 instead of 5 10.00 codes. Vitacost only lets you use one code per order and this way you get more free stuff. I had to learn the hard way and had multiple 10.00 codes.
So I’m wondering if anyone has had the same problem with their vita cost orders. Apparently they ran out of many of the samples so the orders I placed were cancelled since there are no samples in stock. This is crazy to me! I don’t care so much about the samples but why cancel the whole order. Now if i reorder I will have to pay full shipping just seems odd. Anyone else?
