Thanks Colin, you rock on posting all these great deals.

Awe… you are most welcome! 🙂

I went to Walmart yesterday to get the Elmer’s glue sticks and some of the Crayola items and found that Cra-Z-Art was cheaper. They had a 3 pack of glue sticks for $.25 ($.08 each) and crayons for $.25 (Crayola $.50). Markers and colored pencils were each $.50 (Crayola $.97). If you aren’t brand loyal and aren’t using a coupon, Cra-Z-Art is a better deal.

I agree with Stacey. As a former teacher I can tell you from experience Roseart crayons , Dollar Tree crayons, and the brand they often have 1 cent sales on at the office supply stores work nowhere near as good as Crayola. Gluesticks you can get away with some knock-offs but others are horrible! In this case I’d spend a few extra cents if you can to buy Crayola.

Toy’s R Us has the 24pk Crayola Crayons on sale for 4 for $1. Price match that at Walmart and you’ve got yourself a GREAT deal on a very good brand 🙂

  3. Stacey

Cra-Z-Art is cheaper but not near is good (especially the crayons.) It is worth paying more for the crayola, in my opinion.

Does anyone else find that their Walmart doesn’t have these great prices on back to school items? Drives me CRAZY! 🙁

    • Mary

Yes, our Walmart has the glue sticks for .25 each and the notebooks are .42 each. I wondered if it is because we start school later that we haven’t seen the good deals yet? The Crayola crayons were 1.14 at my Walmart and the clerk couldn’t believe that Toy’s R Us has them for .25. Glad I have an internet connection on my phone.

      • Dave

Do you live in Oklahoma or Wisconsin>? That could be why

        • Mary

          Wisconsin

          • Dave

thought so. Wisconsin law prohibits retailers from selling below cost.

  5. Erin

My Wal-Mart also has the Hydro Silk razor on rollback for $5.94, so only $1.94 with the $4/1 coupon.

  6. Kristen

I bought 50 boxes of crayons today at Walmart for our church’s shoeboxes (as I posted in the CBS comments) and now I see they are on sale for 25 cents at toys r us..I will be returnin them 🙂 lol

    • Kristen

      (cvs not CBS sorry 🙂

I saw this yesterday, but our Walmart was ALL out. But then I saw the “generic” version of the glue sticks in packs of THREE for 25 cents, and I thought the glue would work the same, right??? So that’s a better deal (assuming that it does work as well)

    • Katie

I ended up with the 3-pack too. Before I bought them I got a review from another mom who said that the glue works just as well so it’s definitely the better deal! 🙂

  8. Dawn

Oh, and I tested a Crazy Art crayon after buying one of the 25 cent packs, and they are very comparable to Crayola. Better than Roseart crayons! Not like those wax crap ones you get at restaurants, so I think they’re a decent deal. someone also snaked all the 50cent watercolors that are Crazy Art, so I was bummed, since I didn’t want to pay 1.97 for the Crayola ones. My kids won’t care.

I’ve always waited until tax free weekend here in NC, but I really noticed last year that the deals during that weekend weren’t really that great compared to years prior. .25 cent crayola crayons and some other hot deals aren’t really there anymore during that weekend. I remember stockpiling on one dollar thick crayola markers two years ago during tax free weekend and haven’t found that price since either. Will probably begin my shopping prior to that first weekend in August.

Joy Jumbo Ice Cream Cones are on sale for a $1.00 so if you still have your $.55 coupon it makes the cones only $.45!!!

  11. Lori

Are these the .77 or the smaller ones?

  12. Lisa

Glade Expressions the Lavendar was on clearance at one of the 4 Wal Marts here where I shop for $4.50. So was the air freshner starter kt in the same scent.

  13. Lisa

Let me clarify the item Collin has posted was $4.50 the refills were on clearance for $2.50 in a variety of scents & the refills for the sprayer version in Lavendar were on clearance for $1.50 (making them a .50 money maker before the rebate.

I was at Walmart yesterday and they had the spiral notebooks for 17 cents I buy enough to last one year until the next back to school sale you will never see them that cheap.

  15. Emily

I love this sale!! The last company I worked for was a technology start-up and I was in charge of ordering office supplies (among other duties.) We always took notes in the regular 1 subject notebooks. When these sales started, I went and bought enough notebooks, pencils, bic stick pens, paperclips, sticky notes, etc. to last a year and would walk out spending less than $15. It was amazing, considering I had a budget for office supplies of $30 a month. It allowed us to save those months budgets to get bigger items, like new chairs, etc. A big deal to a company on a very strict budget!!
