Wow! I normally don’t post regional grocery store deals like this, but this one is just too *HOT* not to post… so here goes! Food Lion currently has the Angel Soft Bathroom Tissue 4-packs on sale for just $1 through 7/24. Even sweeter, they currently have the following promotion running (also through 7/24):

Buy 10 select products featured in ad (Angel Soft is one of them!), receive $5 off instantly at checkout OR buy more as you can see from the picture above and receive an even bigger discount! So check out this scenario that requires NO coupons at all…

Buy 10 4-count packages of Angel Soft bathroom tissue $1 each = $10
(Hopefully your store is well stocked or you can special order!)
Minus automatic $5 discount for buying 10 packages
Final cost only $5 for 10 packages – just $0.50 per 4-count package!

So you are paying just $5 for 40 rolls of toilet paper, which makes each roll only $0.13! Wowza!

(Thanks, Susan!)

      Thank you for posting this!

  1. woodmore

both food lions closed in my area

  2. Pat

Not all Food Lions participating. Google big deal and you can see list of stores.

  3. Brittany

The FL in my area islas it for $1 but not with the “Big Deal” promotion. Even still, I’ll probably pick up a package or two.

  4. Brandi Dunlap

My store limits it to 1 per person…..geez

    • Emma

      How do you know?

  5. Gina Street

so you would have to use the 5 off 30 first then let them scan your card right?

  6. Kristen

If anyone has done this deal, would you mind posting the total square footage of each pack of toilet paper? I like to calculate price per square foot rather than price per roll 🙂 Thanks!

    • Carrie

On the package it says 4 rolls 66.6 SQ FT 150 sheets per roll

      • Kristen

Thank you!!! 666 square feet for $5 is a very good price; glad to know I should head to my Food Lion 🙂

        • TP

hello! When Collin says it’s hot is hot Mrs. Measuring Ruler!

  7. la

my fl isn’t doing it 🙁

  8. sebauer

How does the special ordering work? Would I need to call ahead?

  9. kellis

Do you buy and ship:) ~ this is one of two brands we can only use due to our septic:)

  10. RACHEL PRESLEY

Ok so I did it! I bought 30 (4pk) rolls which was $30 then I used the $5 off coupon plus I got the $15 instant savings too! So it ended up being 120 rolls for $10.00 after the 2 different savings. I gave the coupon before the mvp card. Hope this helps anyone who had questions! Thanks Hip2save!!!

I haven’t purchased Angel Soft TP before…any reviews?? My husband is picky out tp lol He likes cottonelle but I can’t always get a good sale on it and I missed the IP from the other day 🙁

    • sam

I think its like Charmin Basic. Which is what I normally use.

  12. rach

Where is the.list of.stores.again? Any in va?

    • Susan

My stores in VA and it’s near Winchester. It was participaring, but the shelves were cleared. 🙁

      • Erin

I was on the fence about this one, since I got Cottonelle for around 10 cents a roll at Target last week with $X/$X coupons in addition to the other Qs. But it was convenient today so I stopped. Wiped out. I ran into the floor manager, who looked everywhere. I asked about rain checks, but he said they wouldn’t give them on big deal items, so he gave me 4-packs of the double rolls as a substitute! I never have any luck at Food Lion, so I rarely shop there, but I just may have to rethink that!

  13. Selena

I hate california we never have all these great little stores everyone has in other states =/

    • Michelle

I know! So glad I moved to Virginia 🙂

    • Erin

Yeah, but you get the weather! When I get frustrated about the awesome deals I miss, I just tell myself it wouldn’t we worth living in the Midwest to get them! 🙂

  14. Nicki

I just sent my husband out for this deal! He ended up getting 20 rolls for $5.00 plus tax. The cost before MVP was $31.80 so he was able to use the $5 off $30 on 20 rolls! This is a deal for the record books!! 80 rolls for $5.00!! Yahoo!! I’m in NC.

    • malo

pls how did he do it? Did he give them the coupon before the card or what?

    • Kidsallgone

If the tp is $1 each, how did 20 rolls = $30 ??

      • Brie

My guess is she bought 20 pkgs at $1.59 ea to get over $30…then used the $5 off coupon and then it deducted $10 instantly (MVP card) to make it 20 pkgs for $5…does that make sense?

I just did 10 because i didn’t want to take it all. It’s a great deal though. I went first thing this morning when they opened and they had just got a little more stock in last night.

        • Michelle

That still doesn’t make sense because $30 – $5 coupon – $10 discount = $15 for 20 rolls not $5. Don’t see how she got 20 rolls for $5 but good for her if she did. I’m getting 30 rolls for $10.

          • Brie

They ring up 1.59 ea without MVP so 20 pkgs gets you to $31.80. Then you use the $5q to get to $26.80 and then you swipe your MVP card to get the sale price of $1 (deducts .59×20) so you are at $15 minus $10 instant savings. $5.00 plus tax. Is that clearer?

            • Michelle

Yes that is clearer. Thank you 🙂 I might have to try that with the brawny paper towels. They’re on sale for $1 too.

  15. Jarrod L

they also had 1 bag of free groceries of there brand for 1st 50 people of the day till the 21st i think, but food lion is always shady and there meat is usually spoiled or slimy.

  16. Jen

I got a bunch when the sale started on Wed. but I am going to print the $5 coupon and go get more! My store was well stocked!

  17. Elisabeth

Thank-you for posting this deal…I was able to get 30 and use the $5/$30 FLIP to get 120 rolls for .083 cents a roll!!! Whoohooo!!

  18. Hope

I did this deal today. Just with 10 rolls for 5 bucks. If theres any left I may go back next week before the sale is over and try buying 30 packs with the $5 dollar off $30 coupon. My food lion isnt the mos printed coupon friendly, but I’ll give it a try.

    • Erin

YMMV. Some people who have tried using the store coupon before scanning their MVP card have had beepage problems. Apparently, if the coupon is scanned before the MVP card, some FL computer systems will beep, prompting the cashier to scan the MVP card first. No one seems to be having that trouble here, though.

      • sebauer

In SC, it did prompt my cashier to scan the card first, but still allowed me to use the coupon. HTH!

  19. Sherita

thanks so much for this deal! I was ab-le to score 20 4-packs for only 5 bucks! Can’t beat that =)

  20. Aleasha

It worked at my store too with the $5 off of $30. Also Sparkle Big Roll (33% more) is a good filler to get the total if your store is running low on toilet paper. I had to buy 4 to get the big deal for 30 items since my store ran out!!! Thanks for posting this KILLER DEAL!!

    • mindy

yes…..i’ve been running from store to store to do this deal before it end….i will have enough toilet paper for 2 years…or longer. Thank you Collin

  21. Aleasha

Forgot to mention those Sparkle Big Roll (33% more) paper towels are $1.00 each

  22. sebauer

I bought 16 packages of the TP (my store had plenty, I did not clear the shelf!) and 4 rolls of paper towels– it took off $10 automatically and I used the $5 off $30 coupon, and ended up spending $6.70 with tax! YAY!

  23. Dan

The Olde El Paso Seasonings Taco, Burrito, & Fajita Seasoning are also just .79 or 7.90 for 10. I ended up getting 8 Brawny “White” paper towels $8, gosh we all know w children how quickly these go; 10 Angel Soft 4 pack $10 (make sure they are NOT the double rolls); 1 O.E.P Refried Beans $1.59, 1 Kibbler Stripe Fudge Covered Cookies $2.50; all for a grand total of $10.77 .78 was my states %6 tax total. W no discounts the total was $49.50 1, 5off/$30, 15off/30prod, 2.00off/oepMVP, .10off/Oep Re B, 10.32off/ Brawny, 5.90off/Angel Soft. Yes you did need card for the 5off/$30 but i did ask cashier to run coupon first then it beeped for card, so we swiped that, NP’s. I did a second transaction at a second location with a second card for my female friend w getting 30items 4 fajita seasoning, 8 angel soft and 8 brawny towels for $5.27 once again no problems w 5off/$30 and 10off/20proc
