Walgreens: Kraft Dressing Not Ringing Up on Sale?!
I just want to give you all a quick heads up. After reading the comments on the Walgreens weekly deals post this morning, it appears that for many of you the Kraft dressing may not be ringing up on sale 2/$4 – which is really frustrating! 🙁
The Kraft dressing IS advertised on sale (not in the weekly ad found in-stores), but in the online bonus ad found here. Just click the link in the upper left that states “Check out this Week’s Bonus Buys”. I would suggest either pulling this ad up on your mobile phone while in-store or printing the ad and bringing it to the store with you so that they can adjust the price of the dressing.
Please let us know if you are having the same issue at your local Walgreens.

I had trouble this morning with the coupons in the walgreens coupon book. They were not ringing up in the system and coming off the total when the cashier scanned them. The manager had to manually enter it as a manufacturer coupon.

I tried getting Italian – it wasn’t on sale.
Spoke with Store Manager at my local Walgreens, I was able to pull up ad on my iphone and show him, he was like OK and gave it to me with no problems. The RR did print automatically though. 🙂
I had a problem with the stay free not ringing up right and a customer in front of me was having issues with RR
glad i didnt get any. all of them had eggs in them (son deadly allergic to eggs and peanuts) so didnt get any got all mac and cheese instead. paid $12 got $10 rr
I had the same problem. I showed them the bonus buys ad on my phone and they adjusted the price for me. My store only stocked the Zesty Italian “Anything” dressing, so I figured that might have been the issue. I asked just to make sure and they said it should have rung up as $2/4 (2/$3 with coupon).
What does ‘in-store coupon’ mean in the bonus buy ad for the dressing? I’m guessing you don’t need an actual coupon? Thanks!
They are supposed to ring up 2for$4 & you can find the $1 off coupon in the store coupon book next to the circulars in the front of the store.
The online ad does’t print the bonus buy it just left it blank in that spot where the dressing was. Anyone else have this happen. Conspiracy LOL
I asked for a price check on the dressing and it came up regular price. I used a computer in their photo department and showed them where it was listed as a bonus buy. I don’t particular like the zesty italian, so bought some ranch and thousand island. The coupon in the monthly wags book was for the italian only, so could just use my manufacturer. I got the sale price and the rr printed without problems.
So there is a coupon with a barcode! I searched the ad online for Kraft Salad Dressing and it and the bonus buy ad popped up. I printed the coupon from the print button located in the window when you click on the coupon. Good luck!
Sorry, the coupon is just the monthly with only Zesty Italian. Oops.
Make sure you get the regular Kraft Zesty Italian dressing (exactly as pictured above), NOT the Kraft “Anything” Zesty Italian. The word Anything in near the bottom of the bottle and that one is NOT included in the sale.
Did it ring up for you 2 for $4?
Yes the regular Kraft Zesty Italian dressing did but the Anything came up at either $3.79 or $4.79.

The in store coupon is from the walgreens coupon book usually located next to the ads.
I noticed that at my store also so asked the gal working there if they had anything else besides italian and she told me to look on the clearance aisle there was some there. So when I checked it out sure enought there were 2 ranch and 2 thousand island and they were clearenced out at 94 cents….woohoo you may want to check it out when you go into store.
Mine were not marked this morning so rather than fight it, I just bought more mac’n’cheese (thankfully my store had plenty and then some to cover so I didn’t clear the shelfs). Now I know that I was not the only one that would have had an issue about the dressings not being on sale…
I went to Walgreens this morning to buy the Stayfree 14 count, and I was confused as to why my total was so high after purchasing the Purex Crystals, a few filler items. I looked over my receipt in the car to see, and the Stayfree 14 count were ringing up at original price of $3.99. I went back inside to talk to a manager and he was surprised that they were not ringing up as advertised on the ad and also they had the sale sign up. They must be having techinical issues or something. But I am glad I got my money back for my free items. Heads up on this too 🙂 Happy Shopping!
The Stayfree was ringing up $3.99 in WI too – had to point it out to the cashier and she adjusted it no problem. Then she wasn’t going to accept the $2 MFG coupon because it was more than the product. I politely told her the manager last time adjusted the coupon down to $1.99, so she did the same.
Same problem in Southern NH – did a price adjustment with no argument after seeing the ad……

I agree, both the stay free and the Kraft dressing were not ringing up right. I had him adjust the stay free which wasn’t a problem, but didn’t know where the price for the Kraft came from until now. Might go back later…
Had the same issues — went to 2 different Walgreen’s. Come home to check if I had read something wrong — Glad to know I wasn’t the only one with problems (both on the dressing and the stayfree).
I almost forgot… I had problems with the Dimetapp/Advil deal as well! Didn’t print the RR. The manager just “ret’ned” one of the pkgs, giving me a $5 refund. I hope that doesn’t mess with my rebate. 🙁
I also had this problem, but after all the problems with the Kraft deal and the manager having to overide that sale price AND two of my coupons, I am going to just call customer service and hopefully they can help. Definitely an exhausting day at Walgreens!
I purchased 2 Zesty Italian Anything dressings, 2 Miracle Whips and 2 Velveeta Shells and Cheese this morning with no problems. All were marked correctly on sale and all rang up correctly. I thought for sure there would be some issues, but I was wrong this time. 🙂
Why is it my store said that they won’t released the september booklet till the day before Sept. 🙁
Cause their employees are idiots. I went to one Walgreens & they didn’t have the September coupon books out and I asked and they were clueless. None of the sale items were marked either. I left and went to another Walgreens and they had plenty of the September coupon booklets out in front and the sale items were marked.
store I went to yesterday didn’t have the Sept books out either and I asked, the cashier said the books were out. I said no, that’s Aug books, to which she replies it not sept yet. I had to show her the Aug book that those coupons exp the 25th and the monthly booklet always starts on the sunday before the 1st day of the new month. Luckily another employee overheard and went to the back to get the box and gave me one. But that didn’t help b/c this store didn’t have the Nut-rition and only 1 bottle of salad dressing, so I couldn’t do the deal anyway. Will try another store today.
I didn’t notice the ranch did not ring up the sale price until I got home. I went back and got a refund for the difference. I didn’t even need to show the manager the online ad.
we did the deal this morning and if you look in the walgreens booklet it says 1 coupon per customer and he would only scan it once …somehow we ended up paying $5.00 instead of free and we had all the coupons needed. He said because the miracle whip and italian dressing were on the same coupon in the book we could only use it once so we just got a $1.00 off for all of them…we are still trying to figure out why we ended up paying $5.00 because that would have only lost us $2.00
actually put out $15.00 but with the RR it would make it $5.00
The Walgreens coupons that are in the monthly booklet only need to be scanned one time – no matter how many items you have. It will subract the coupon amount as many times as there are qualifying items.
okay we just figured it again and it is the dressing that was messing it up, he did give us the right amount on everything so will be going back by and getting a refund for the overpayment.
Hi Norma, could it be because your walgreens store coupons were rang *AFTER* your MFG coupons? Same thing happened to me. I had them cancel the transaction and re-ring putting the store coupons first. Only then did I get the deal.

I didn’t try the dressing. I got 4 Velveeta Mac & cheese and 2 Kraft Mayo – minus $6 in manu. coupons, $3 in in-store coupons, spent $5 got $5 back
Here in Southern Mississippi the dressing did not ring up right ($3.79) so I had to go through I lengthy return process. I was buying the Kraft items b/c they were a good deal and did not know that I was going to get the $10 catalina b/c couponnetwork said that my Wags was not a participant. But I did get it, so I was happy about that. Going to print the ad before I go in later this week and see if I can get the dressing at the right price.
at my store the dressing was ringing regular price, but I told the manager and he tried going online to verify on the computer @ the photo dept., but it was taking too long so he said “let me do it on my phone it will probably be faster than the computer”and it sure was, so he told he would adjust the price an even walked to the entrance to get me the coupon on the September booklet. 🙂
same issue. it rang up 3.99 at my store. I got it anyway. When I saw this post I went back up and showed them and they gladly gave me my money back. 🙂
Collin – Our store was not busy when I went today – so I had the cashier to do a price check on the Italian dressing and of course it was not ringing up per the sells price. I had her to call up the manager and showed her the printed add (glad I printed it and took it with me) and she did honor the price (reluctantly) and told me that Walgreens is getting ready to come out with a card similar to the way CVS Card works and it is under test pilot with employees and such right now and that this was more than likely an item for that program but the program is not available to anyone but employees at this time. Of course I had the “they shouldn’t advertise it” right now if that is the case conversation but she did honor the price and that’s the bottom line.
I was wondering why my OOP was so high…went back with the ad, got a refund for the difference, after I did the math to show the cashier and the manager exactly how much the refund should be (does anyone besides couponers retain basic math skills past 8th grade?!?)
Yeah, no 2/$4.00 dressing at my store either. I had a terrible time at checkout though. I bought 4 Velveeta Mac&Cheese, and 2 Kraft Mayo.
I used (4) $1/1 Velveeta mac&cheese mq
(2) $1/1 Kraft Mayo mq
and of course the Sept Booklet coupons. Well the first attempt at my transaction the cashier rang everything up, and scanned the booklet first…then the register started beeping after 4 of the coupons. So she total voided everything, re-rang it all up and tried the mq’s first then it didnt want to take the coupons in the booklet. Finally a mgr came over, voided it again….and he rang up everything and somehow made it all work out. It seems like after their new cash registers, I have had nothing but trouble using coupons there. I even purchased 3 bottles of water and a candy bar, so I know item limits were not an issue. Anyone else have problems using their Kraft coupons at Wags?

Yes! For whatever reason it seems like the last two kraft coupons (I also tried it both ways) will not ring no matter what. I did the ten item deal (my manager overrode the dressing) and one time it was one mayo coupon one velveeta that wouldn’t ring and the second time it was the in store coupons. Manager fixed it as well, but there was a lot of mumbling and muttering and talking about me working the system. Good times all around today.
Nicki I can’t believe the mgr said such a thing. How is using a legitimate coupon on the proper product it is intended for “working the system?” I would be having a nice little chat with corporate tomorrow morning.
ha! I have a real nice coupon story for you. A pen deal wasn’t working for me a few weeks back so I was asking the manager what we could do about it. She told me to purchase them then they would just return the amount of the coupon….. So like a dummy I believed her and did it. For her to turn around and tell me no. So it was a dollar I wasn’t that concerned with the dollar but when i walked away she didn’t realize the customer checking out was my sister and her and her other manager friend went on about me “working the system” and “watch out for her” all kinds of nasty stuff. Point to the story I left fumming! Worst part is that manager has been sooo nice and helpful in the past!
had this problem but still went forward with the sale. So…spent $9.50 on 2 Miracle whips, 2 dressings and 2 Velveeta’s….then got the RR reward of $5.
Bummed that my first trip wasn’t as it should have been. Guess I went too early that I didn’t see this note.

I check two stores in my area and neither had the dressing at 2/4. I ended up buying the mayo instead.
mine worked out just fine with the help of the manager (im from lakewood,ca). my total was i think $13.48. Bought 2 Mayo, 2 Italian dressing, 2 ranch dressing, 2 velveeta mac n cheese, 2 planters nutrition and got $10 RR back. She had to over ride the 4 dressings coz they rang up $4.49 ea. Showed her the online ad and she adjusted the price down with an apology. 🙂 Its like i bought all of the items for $3.48!
Well I’ll be returning my Kraft dressing tommorrow. Thank God I had not even looked at my receipt yet. Usually before I get out of the store I’m checking it. $7.58 regular price is way to much. Thanks for the heads up paid to much!
Im in Arnold, MD and I mine rang up 2/$4. I almost had an issue with the cashier who said he could not scan the wags coupons because he had already rang up my manu Q’s. I was able to persuade him and it worked out fine. They only had the zesty italian at that store.
Thanks , we got ours figured out also it was the Kraft dressing so we will get it fixed…what confused us was that he kept saying he could only scan the coupon in the book once but when we looked on the receipt it was all correct except getting charged $7.58 for the dressing…and our store actually had a sign up with the right sale price on it…LOL!
Did anyone have a problem with the dimetapp/Advil spend $15 get $5 rr? I bought two dimetapp and one advil making the total exactly $15 and no rr printed. I emailed Catalina marketing about it.
I had the problem. First they suggested it was b/c I used a $5 RR — but it was the Kraft reward, so it shouldn’t have been a problem. Then, they tried to tell me it was b/c of coupons. Finally, a manager rang them all up again. alone. without coupons or RR and still no RR printed. He just returned my one dimetapp which put $5 back on my Visa. Since the return doesn’t show up on my original receipt, I hope I still get the refund!
We just moved and I’ve only attempted Walgreen’s for the past 2 weeks. This week’s run was a frustrating introduction!
YES, what a hassle that was. They tried to tell me it was because of coupons, but I know it wasn’t. Go to https://support.catalinamarketing.com/catalina-consumer-fulfillment-policies/ if you’re having issues in the store, they’ve always been good about sending it in the mail a few days later. As for the Kraft deal, what a pain! My Boise, ID store was mad because they have a 3 item limit on sale items, yet had a ton in stock this morning (I wanted 4). So cashier was very unfriendly and acted put out when I had her retry the Dimetapp deal (which never did spit out the RR) without coupons to see if it worked then. Go to the catalina link above if your manager was as uncooperative as mine was. Get your act together, Walgreens!
Well thanks for letting me know I wasn’t the only one who had a problem with that deal. I did use the coupons but did not use a rr in that transaction. I emailed Catalina using the form on the site. Hope they mail it to me.
This is off topic, but is anyone wondering about their ThredUp orders from last week? Mine still hasn’t shipped… and the friends I referred aren’t showing up as a credit… Anyone know what’s going on?
I got an email on Friday that says they’re sorry for the delay and that they’ll get to my order in 2-3 business days. On their Facebook page, they also apologize for the delay due to the surge of orders they received last weekend.

Just got back and my dressing rang up at the reg price. So I said something about it and the cashier looked at me kinda funny. I knew I was going to have an issue and was trying to pull it up on my phone but couldn’t because when my phone updated to the most current version I lost my flash. So the manager asked me about if I could see it on my phone and I explained the flash thing and he was like what about the app…I had no clue there was an app so I downloaded that and under weekly ad there is a thing for bonus buys…so he took that and adjusted it down to $2 each. I did everything as above for the $10 promo, but ended up paying $14 not $10…I think there were a couple coupons missed or something. The last coupon he rang up it said like max cpn’s allowed or something and I was frazzled already and just paid the $14.
My other issue is I can’t figure out why my buy $15 get $5 rr didn’t print when I got two of the advil meds and 1 of the thermacare making a total of $16…who do I message about this? I didn’t realize until I was half way home that I didn’t get it!
CVS just seems sooo much easier!

The italian dressing worked fine in boston this afternoon. If I received a $2RR, can I use it toward another kraft RR item or would it not work? I was thinking of tying for a higher amoutn…

My coupons for the Velveeta wouldn’t scan, because my other mayo coupons were ringing up kraft velveeta on the computer screen. So the cashier voided and rang up everything again, this time starting with the Velveeta coupons and my mayo coupons wouldn’t ring up because the Velveeta coupons had already rung up as Miracle whip on the coumputer screen. Ugh! So then the cashier starts giving me this look like i was using fake coupons! I feel so bad at this point. She voids everything and rings it all up again for the 3rd time, I wasn’t able to use one of my mayo coupons because she couldnt ring it up and said she couldnt put it in manually?! came out to 20bucks…I did get the 10RR though. So I realized as I left and saw the sept booklet i forgot to use, why i ended up paying so much OOP. And to make it worse I just checked the expiration date on my whips and mayos: oct 2012! Oh Come On! lol So now I gotta go back get different mayos, get refunded the IVC’s, and show them the ad onine to get dressings price adjusted..If they’ll let me…I’m dreding this trip to wags! 🙁

Watch the expiration date on the dressing you buy. My store had some that expired in March of 2012…..yikes!
Not on sale at mine either. Zesty Italian was 4.29 a bottle, messed up my plan. But still four boxes of velveeta and two mayos for 66 cents is pretty awesome!
I purchased 4 Kraft miracle whip, 2 zesty italian dressings and the 4 velveta cheese dinners. I had to dig all the way behind the anything dressings just to find the regular dressing too. My total did seem a little high but I new all the coupons came off and once I got outside to my car I looked over the receipt and noticed the dressing rang up at $8.58 for the 2 bottles. So I went back in for the refund. I printed the page of the online bonus ad before I left home and the assistant manager pulled up the ad on his iphone and refunded me the $4.58.
What a frustrating mess shopping at Walgreens this week. Nothing rings up and no one knows whats going on at the store. I was told to please contact the Walgreens corporate office and complain because the associates are having a hard time trying to figure it all out. I saw Indiana popcorn on sale and indian corn but no one could tell me a thing about it. They need to make everything more shopper friendly. Why all the bonus ads if they don’t work when you get there. Thanks for trying to give us ways to buy the kraft products but what a huge mess. Nothing is as it seems.
i had a similar problem. i had a problem with the dressing. The walgreens sunday ad i received at home had the dressing for 2/$4 but when i went to my walgreens store which is 3 blocks away the dressing wasnt even listed in there. In fact i feel that the ad in the store is way much skinnier. I am guessing that there were missing pages in the weekly ad at the store. The manager was kind enough to adjust the prices. So make sure you bring your walgreens weekly ad to the store, Hth
