These books are GREAT! I get one every time they offer me a free code. $8 for a digital scrapbook that you can completely customize with photos, borders, backgrounds, layouts etc is well worth it! I use them to document my children’s growth, seasons, vacations, etc. Though I won’t be getting one this time around as I’m clearly not a new customer, I just wanted to say how worth it they are, if you’re on the fence. 🙂
I agree with jackie. I have gotten 4 free albums now. They are alot of fun to create and i love this better than just getting pics developed. As well, the shipping cost is well worth it!. I just ordered 2 free albums with our summer trips in. I can’t wait till they arrive!. The last two i ordered turned out great!!!
lucky you. I couldnt even get one free book. Everytime it asked me to put in my password it said it was an error. And it wasnt. uggghhh this password stuff is nonsense anyways.
I was able to enter the code into my existing acct. without being a New customer.
It works for existing customers also. They just credited a free photo book to my account.
Were you actually able to use it at checkout though? They have let me apply coupons like this to my account before, but come checkout time, it says you are not eligible and deletes it from your account. I don’t want anyone wasting time making a book because they think they will get it for free and then not having that happen!

Just a note to this people with an existing account who said it let them credit it to their account–I did the same thing with another similar code specified for new customers only, and it also let me save the offer to my account. However, when I went to check out, it said that this offer was not applicable to me, and it removed it from my account without letting me use it. Luckily, I had a different code that WAS applicable to existing members or I would have been really mad that I went to the trouble of making a whole book and not getting to use a code!

BTW – is anyone having issues using the Coke rewards codes on shutterfly? I got one on Facebook and another code from entering the 5 codes at coke rewards. When I try to enter the second code from coke rewards, it tells me I have already taken advantage of that offer. The codes are different, so are these the same offer? Any help would be appreciated.

Just got a free code from Target yesterday. Love when that happens.
As it turns out, after submitting code and CC information, I get a message that states I do not qualify. And on top of that, the shipping cost went down from $7.99 to $6.00 and the taxes are now higher as well as the book itself. Shutterfly seems a bit shady to me….
Moreover….the final cost is now $40.00!!!!
I wonder why mine didn’t work?!?! It took it off and then at very end said I didn’t qualify. That was a lot of work and I really want it!!!
I had the same thing happen to me. They let existing customers save the code to their account, but it won’t actually let you use it since you are not a new customer (but they don’t tell you that until the end at checkout.) As I said in an earlier comment, people should not get all excited because it lets them add the coupon to their account because it won’t work when you go to check out unless you are truly a new customer. Only promo codes that say they are good for existing account holders will work come check out time.
