I just want to give you all a heads up, as it appears from reading the comments in the Walgreens Weekly Deals post, that lots of you seem to be having problems getting the Register Reward back from the Chex Mix, Bugles, and Gardetto’s deal. Well, I think I found out the reason for that. You see, it seems that this Register Reward isn’t suppose to begin until tomorrow…

Did you do the 3 or 5 deal? The $1 register reward is advertised to work now but is the $3 if you buy 5 working now?

Ditto the others, I did this twice and got the RR both times.
In each transaction, I got 3 bags of Chex Mix, and used 3 of the. 60 cents off coupons. $1.20 out of pocket, and $1.00 RR (on each transaction)
Printed for me too but only with the traditional flavored Chex mix….not the cheddar/parmesan flavors
I bought the Italian Herb & Parmesan,Cheddar & Turtle and it printed for me.
Ugh. That’s my luck. It wouldn’t print with those flavors. The manager came up and said that it has to be the one on the add which is the traditional flavor so I had to return my Parmesan and Cheddar. He got it to print only with the boring traditional flavor. 🙁
The $1 register reward from Walgreens worked for me on the transaction where I bought 3 chex mix but not when I bought 2 Chex and 1 Bugle.
It did the same for me too.
I bought 6 bags about 10:30 EST this morning and got a $3RR…bought 6 more and got the same thing, and then did another 6. I had $1/2 coupons so I got them all for free really…yippee fo

It printed mine too here in san antonio, it just has to be the right size. I belive it is the 5.5 onces to 8.5 only, I think that is why is not printing the reward.
I got 3 bags and got my 1RR just fine.
It worked fine for me this morning. My husband doesn’t usually get excited about couponing but he was pretty excited when I told him that we could get his favorite snack for such a good deal. I even gave him the coupons and had him do the transaction himself.
So funny! Way to break him in… 🙂

I bought three bags of chex mix at my store in Peru and the catalina printed with no problems.
The R.R. printed for me but not for my mother, who was in line behind me, I thought it might be because some of the bags of Chex mix tagged as part of the R.R. deal are actually 3.75 oz. and the sizes specified are 5.5- 8.75 oz.
it is working for chex mix but not bugles.
Worked for me on the regular size bags but not on the bags that said 20% more.
My ad also said “Save on favorites all week long.” Bought 3 different Chex mixes with coupons, and the $1 RR printed.

I bought 3 bags of bugels and didn’t get the RR. The manager gave me a $1 giftcard though.
I bought 3 bags of bugels and used 3 of the $.50/1 IP (coupon says Chex mix or Bugles and one other thing). Got $1 back with no problem. This was Sept 3, Monday night.
If you buy 5, will the 4th and 5th one ring up at $1.00 with the sale price being 3/$3.00. When I bought 3 today, the price on the receipt states $1.49 ea or 3/3.00. I am wondering if I have to buy 6 to get them all for a dollar?????
Yes each bag will rang up a $1. I bought 4 bags of Chex Mix each bag rung up a $1 and I got back a $2 RR

i bought the turtle chex mix and 2 bugles. I used 3 .50 coupons so it made them 3 bags of snacks for .50 after RR. i does not say traditional check only and the turtle was the 5.5 oz specified in the ad. I got a coupon saying the RR would start the 3rd BUT the ad says Sunday and Monday so the mgr came up and just rang them up again and cashed it out and it gave the $1 RR. They did not hassle me, it was supposed to work anyway so they just politely fixed it
I got 3 Bugles and it didn’t print. They went and got the Chex, rang up a transaction, and gave the $1 RR to me that way.
Wow I work at Walgreens and couldn’t figure out why they were not printing for Bugles and Chex…my manager was just as puzzled as I was. Guess this makes more sense ;D
i doubt that this would be a double dip as it is rare with walgreen’s now a days. However, it may be possible to buy 6 and get the advertised 1.00 rr for buying 3 and the 3.00 rr for buying 5 . The sizes in the ad are 5.5 – 8. something (i don’t have the ad right in front of me). This cat paper says 4.5 or larger, it maybe be two seperate offers.
Could I use my $3 Scope (P&G) cat on this without running into any problems in receiving the $3 Chex Mix cat? Thanks!

yes, definitely however if you are using coupons along with your rr make sure that you do not have more coupons than items because the rr counts as a manufacturer coupon… if you have 6 items and you use 6 coupons and want to also use an rr you must have an additional filler item .
The only time you may encounter a problem would be if items were made by the same manufacturer (for example, using one p&g rr on another p&g rr offer), although it seems like that has changed since a while ago because i purchased scope today and then used those rr’s on the aussie/herbal essences which are also made by p&g and i received the rr’s. I plan on trying this tomorrow with the chex mix, even if it is not a double dip, it will still be free after rr’s if you use 6 – .50/1 q’s Hth.

would chex muddy buddies be included in this catalina since it just says 4.5 oz or higher above? they are 6.25 oz at my store but not included in the walgreens ad ones, since it says 5.5 oz or 8.75 oz… would be GREAT if they were! anyone know?

I did 3 transactions here in Minnesota mid afternoon with no problems. I used coupons for all 3 transactions too! I bought all chex..original and cheddar
Well I don’t need three, four or five bags, so I bought one Bugles, regularly priced at $3.19, on sale for $1.49, used the $.50 coupon and it only cost me $.99!
The RR worked for me as well on Sunday. Interesting though that I got this catalina at my local grocery store (stop and shop in MA). The catalina is for $ off a future order. (i.e., buy 3 chex, get $1 off, etc.)

I just went today (Monday) and got 5 bags chex mix (Chedder, 3 regular and a bold), I paid $3 after using 4 of the 50c off MQ, and only received a $2 RR. I am happy with that since 5 bags for $1 is a great deal… just realizing now should have been $3rr… but I don’t mind.
I got three chex Sunday morning and got the $1 rr. When I went to a different store later and bought 1 bugles, 1 Gardettos and 1 chex – it didn’t work! Still a great deal but I was a little bummed.
p.s. – the cashier tried to tell me that since I saved more than a dollar by using coupons, I wouldn’t qualify for the $1 rr. :-/

My hubby went at 3:00am this morning and it wouldn’t print the RR if he used the coupons! They voided the transaction and tried it again without coupons and they printed just fine. He even had Crest rinse in there and it wouldn’t print and I had bought one at the same store with a coupon yesterday with no problem! Hmm.

I bought 4 bags (1 cheddar, 1 honey, 1 Italian, 1 chocolate), used 2 .50/2 insert qs & $1rr (grabbed a .19 Ramon noodles for filler). Paid $2.19 tax and got $2rr back.

Im new to couponing and just wondering how you prove the RR deal for buy 5 items get $3 RR. My store only knows about the $1 RR not the other 2. Can someone tell me how to see if this deal works in my store?
Got 6 bags today used 4- .50 off coupons, and 1- .50 off 2 coupons brought my total down to $3.50, plus got the $3.00 in register rewards equaling all 6 bags for .50 !!!! Works out to be 8 cents a bag 🙂 perfect for school lunches 🙂 the lady that checked me out was amazed at how much I saved!!!! Thanks for the heads up on this one
I wanted to report that in NY I just did both Biore and Chex and they worked, even with the 25% larger box. Worked during lunch hour.
Headed to Walgreens with three $0.5/1 coupons. Already expected problem in getting the deal so just planed to get three and receive $1RR even I actually wanted to buy more. Got the flavors I like, two Bugles Caramel and one Chocolate Peanut Butter. The RR didn’t print as expected and I brought it to the attention of the manager. The manager at first said Bugles was not included but changed his words when I pointed him to the tag on the shelf. He first tried to return all three items, hoping it would print but it didn’t. After asking for my name, address and phone no. , he tried to return them and put the value into a gift card which didn’t work neither. He finally just gave me a dollar back. I used that dollar to get the bottle water on sale.
I always have to go through a lot of hassle to get deals from Walgreens. If it wasn’t 50 cents for three Bugles, I would rather get deals from CVS.
Just got back from wags bought 10 chex bags, 1 biore cleanser, 1 biore strips, case of water 1.99, 2 nice cookies 18oz 1.79 each (oreo look alikes), 3 bags m&m’s $2.00 = Paid 11.72 OOP Value $30.75 so not a bad shopping trip here in CA thanks for the tips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh Walgreens… always an adventure! I bought four bags of Chex (turtle variety), two Bugles, and used six $0.50 coupons. All of the varieties I purchased had the RR signs on the shelf. Total cost $3.16 and no RR printed but the machine was working because it printed other useless coupons. The manager told me it was because I used coupons, which I know is not the case, but said he would take care of it. He tried to ring three bags at a time using the Bugles to generate the rewards and after three attempts finally gave up and used the Chex, which worked. Clearly it was an issue with their computer for the Walgreens advertised RR. I don’t know why the national one didn’t print… maybed because I didn’t get the traditional variety? After all of the hassle, I ended up with three $1 RR (I guess he gave me an extra dollar for my trouble) so I paid $0.16 for six bags.

I got 3 of the 20% more bags and 2 other variety chex mix for total of 5 bags… used 4 50c coupons and only got $2 rr… not sure what happened there… but didn’t question it. 5 bags for $1 is good though! Free may have been better though.
