Treater Facebook App: Send $6 Ice Cream Treat to Friends for Just $1 (You Don’t Wanna Miss This!)
Calling all you Smartphone users! Just a reminder that Treater.com, a Facebook app that regularly offers up treats for your Facebook friends, is currently offering up a new, sweet treat – an ice cream treat valued at $6 for just a buck!
I can’t state where this deal is for…all I can say is it’s one *HOT* (or cold!?) deal you won’t wanna miss! 😀
Here’s what you need to do:
* Head over here and click on the blue Pick a Friend button
* You’ll then be prompted to sign in to Facebook
* Pick a Facebook friend that you want to surprise with a sweet treat (I chose my hubby! :D)
* You’ll be able to add a message and a photo if you like.
* The Treat will post to your friend’s Facebook Wall. In addition, you can also send a text message link or email link to their smartphone (which they will receive faster).
* Enter your credit card info to pay for the $1 charge
* When you are done, click the green “Send It!” Button! That’s it!
To redeem the Treat, your friend will just need to click the Treater Facebook post, text message link or email link on their smartphone. They’ll see the Treat and the message from you, and they’ll be guided through the redemption. Note that redemption must occur on a smartphone. Show the cashier the Treat Card on your phone, they’ll type in the Treat Card number as a credit card, and voila! You’ve been treated. Sweet! 😀

Try it. All I did was pick a friend on FB and then enter my information. I got 2 to the same phone.
i went to Coldstone today. They said they accept Groupon-like payments, but when they typed-in my code from Treater, it didn’t work, so I had to pay fullprice for my ice cream. What a waste! Treater should be banned from Hip2save because it’s a hoax

I would send this to my hubby, but neither of us has a smartphone and the instructions on the post say that redemption has to be on a smartphone 🙁
My husband and I sent each other 3 or 4 different ones – some for $1, then today a new one was free! Keep loading the page again. We got Pinkberry, Coldstone Creamery, and Panera!
Today I got an email to send a FREE panera latte and cookie! I was able to send it twice.
I had all my local Starbucks say the free Starbucks latte was fraud and couldn’t redeem it. I’m not trying another deal with then especially when it involves money and its not free.

I used it tonight at my cold stone! worked fine!
I tried to use mine today, it did NOT work!!
I was able to use it at my Target Starbucks last time. They had no problem typing in the numbers as a credit card.
I also had trouble redeeming the free Starbucks drink. I was pretty upset because they had already made the drink, so I had to pay for it. They typed in the number as a credit card and said it was declined. I don’t think I will use this app anymore either.
Does this expire?
It gives you an expiration date… But if you don’t use it they will make a new expiration date for you. Like within two months.
