Wait, wouldn’t you receive 2 $2 catalinas for purchasing 4 boxes of Cheerios in this scenario?

    • Adria

Also Collin your math is off they are $2.50 per box so it’s $25 before the $5 comes off at register. So $20 before coupons

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry, you both are right. I am updating now.

        • Cindi

LOL, first of all, with all you guys do on this site to save us all money…I am just grateful. With that being said, I still have the question about the fact that in this scenario, we are purchasing 4 participating Cheerios products for the $2 Catalina, so wouldn’t we receive (2) $2 catalinas back….which would actually make this a total of $8.70, or 87 cents per box?

    • steph

At my Kroger you will only get 1 catalina per transaction. Doesn’t matter if you buy multiples or not. I have run into this problem before.

      • Cindi

Ok, thank you Steph! Cause I truly hate when I think I should have gotten a catalina, and I don’t, but I won’t say anything cause I am so blessed that my store, though no longer doubling coupons, will take as many printables as I bring, and they are awesome to me! I was there Saturday night with 26 printables, and I was in U-Scan because they close the normal registers at a certain time, and after I let lots of people get in front of me, when it was my turn…no problem at all!

  2. Kim

I was told at my Kroger over the weekend that they no longer accepted printable coupons. Has anyone else had this experience too?

    • steph

Not in Columbus, Ohio. But each store/region has their own policy. Some stores limit the # of printable coupons you can use in one visit. Check your area/stores policy.

      • Kim

I called my store again and was informed that it was a corporate policy and that they signed off papers implementing the policy last week.

    • Bree

Louisville krogers will only accept 3 printed coupons per person per day!

      • Kim

I called another Kroger down the road and they take printable coupons. Guess I’ll be shopping over there now.

      • VictoriaBF

I am from Louisville too and never heard of such coupon policy. I shop at several Kroger stores and they have no coupon limit at all. 🙂

        • tracy

I am in Frankfort, Ky but considered Louisville area. My Kroger allows infinite printed coupons but only two that are identical.

          • Misty

I am a frequent Kroger shopper and went to Kroger in the evening for some last minute deals and they told they no longer accept Internet printable coupons. I shopped there with IP coupons last week. I am in Houston, TX.

    • Pat

My Kroger in AR has said that several times over the years but if you come back another day they do take them. I have heard that they only take 2 internet coupons a day too but the next day they took all of them and nobody said anything. I think they get to many coupons one day and then slack off one day etc…

  3. Heather

Isn’t the price of 1.99 the price you pay for buying 10. I figured it to be 10.70 after coupons then down to 8.70 with the Catalina coupon.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yep… just updated! Sorry for the confusion.

  4. PG

Isn’t $1.99 already the price with the $10 off or is there another $10 deal stacked on top of this? My Kroger doesn’t double 🙁 so trying to get my total.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yep… you are correct. Just updated.

  5. Adria

$12.80 after coupons or $1.28 per box plus $2 catalina

    • PG

Hmm… even if they still doubled it would be $10.70 here as they only doubled up to $0.50. They prob. figured this deal for stores that double any amount coupon. LUCKY DUCKS

  6. Angela Willoughby

Will this work for kroger affiliate stores such as foodsco?

  7. Melissa

Yea…they’re $1.99 AFTER the savings… it says that right in the picture you even posted….

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yep… just updated. I think I need more coffee! 😉

  8. Tina robbins

I just used the purex($1.50 off 2) printable coupons at Krogers and got the 50oz. bottles $2.99 – the .50 off mega event=$2.49- the $1.50 off 2 bottles=$1.75ea.

  9. Sharon

Oops! Yes, the $19.90 is after the $5 off. Can’t take it off again.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just updated… hopefully I’ve got my calculations right this time. 🙂

  10. Glenn

Aside from all the confusing coupon math, don’t forget that there are also a handful of Uprommise/SavingStar offers for GM cereals (including Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Chex, Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch) that could also factor into the deal.

    • Jenn

I recently was encouraged to read SavingStar’s policy, and you are not supposed to use coupons on items and also get the SavingStar reward–unless it is a “buy many” deal (like, spend $30 on Bounty, get $5). I was bummed to read that, as I’d always thought it great to be able to stack. But technically, we’re not supposed to do it:(

  11. Jenn

Just a warning–I tried this yesterday and didn’t get the Catalina (the machine was on and everything-). I’ve heard from a bunch of other people who have also said they didn’t get it either. So . . . do the deal at your own risk!

    • Cindi

Thank you Jenn! Because there are lots of times that I will do a deal just because of the catalina, and I would not have done so otherwise! Ugh….I may have to try first by buying 8 other products that I am buying anyway, and throw in 2 boxes of Cheerios and see how it goes….

    • Pat

I heard that people weren’t getting catalinas too! I guess they found out and turned it off. They turn the catalina off sometimes early when it hits a limit I think.

  12. Hanif Abang

Dont forget saving star coupon also.

  13. Marie

Ok! Here’s my mini plan at my doublin’ Kroger! (P= pay!)

    1. Cinnamon Toast Crunch – .50/1 – P .99
    2. Cookies N Cream – .75/1 – P .49
    3. Chex -.50/1 – P .99
    4. Vanilla Chex -.75/1 – P .49
    5. & 6. Multi Grain Cheerios – .75/1 – P .49 x 2
    7. Oatmeal Crisp Cereal (Pretty sure it’s included!?) – .75/1 – P .49
    8. & 9. Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks (1.49) – .50/1 – P – .49 x 2
    10. Coffee Mate (2.49) – .55/1 – P 1.38
    Total: $6.79
    Plus $2 CAT
Plus .50, .50, & .75 for Saving Star – Cinnamon TC, Chex, Oatmeal
    Special Total: $3.04 !!!!

  14. tracy

My Kroger in Louisville area did not include any Chex cereal except the Frosted Vanilla. Oatmeal Crisp not included. Cookies N Cream not available here. Multi Grain Cheerios not included.

  15. Laura

I bought multiple boxes of cheerios this week in VA and didn’t get a catalina.

  16. Renee

Since Kroger’s in my area stopped doubling coupons, my visits there have dwindled. I usually only go to check out their clearance sections and when they have boneless chicken breasts for $1.99/lb. They have become so coupon unfriendly with the limits on internet coupons and a limit on how many coupons from the same manufacturer you can use plus when they stopped doubling-well, that was my last straw.

  17. steph

Don’t know if this helps but I Iheartkroger.com she has an ongoing list of current catalina deals. As far as Gen mills cereal the catalina is buy 2 cheerios get $2 catalina like Collin has in the original post. It is only good on cheerios though.

    • Janette

Collin, I live in Houston, and there are more good deals to be had at Kroger this week. As part of the buy 10 promo, they have Country time lemonade canisters and koolaid canisters for 79 cents- use the $1 off on 2 coupon from coupons.com and they would be 58 cents for both or 29 cents each. Also they have hefty zip bags for 99 cents after the buy 10 promo, so use the recent $1 off on 2 and they are 98 cents for both!

  18. Natalie

I bought 10 participating cereals, 2 were yellow Cheerios. A Catalina did not print 🙁 but a $2 off 5 general milks coupon did print. Thats all. Still a good deal in cereal, just not as good as we thought.

  19. Lindsay

Just went to Kroger in Indy. Had four printable coupons for peanuts and Capri suns. ( our ad runs Thursday to Wednesday) she refused to take coupons because she couldn’t get them to scan. Anybody else had this? I always have issues at Kroger. Last time no Catalina’s printed.

  20. Pat

Kroger is going to loose a lot of business.
