Thanks so much Collin! You are the best 🙂 Quick question- do you have to buy all 10 of the same cards?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Nope… they can be different! 🙂

      • Barnacle

I was not able to mix and match 🙁 but it’s still a good deal!

Question…. Does anyone else like ordering Christmas cards this early? I like putting my kids pictures on the cards, but know they will look totally different when its time to send the Christmas cards out! Any opinions??

I ordered my cards early last year and I was totally okay with the family picture on the front being 5 months old. When it came down to it I didn’t want to over think it and I saved a ton of money by taking advantage of all the promotions from July to November. BUT… if the difference between cardstock and photo paper does not bother you you can get 50 beautifully printed photo paper cards from Costco for $10 (Normally $15, but they have released a $5 coupon every year in Oct/Nov), the Costco designs are basic, but if you have a basic knowledge of photoshop elements you can find dozens of adorable predesigned templates on pinterest and customize the wording or you can buy a custom template on Etsy for around $10.

I wish I could take advantage of this offer, but baby #4 isn’t due until the end of September. I’m hoping there will be deals in October/November like last year 🙂

I already have my boys Halloween Costumes because I bought them last year on clearance. I think I will have them dress up and take pics, so I can make Halloween cards for our out of town family.

Ooo Good idea! I bought my son’s Halloween costume already too!

I always take advantage of these offers from Shutterfly. Good things is that even when they say specific about these items, (for this case, Christmas card) it doesn’t necessarily need to be that item… In other words, it can be invitations, Thank you cards, or birthday cards etc. So I did 10 birthday cards and will use them to go along with family friends’ birthday present. Aiming for Thank you cards next time;)

I received my free cards today & LOVE them! Just wish I hadn’t waited until the last second to order them (I got 5 each of 2 different pics because I was running out of time…would’ve loved more variety.) They are really nice quality cards (very thick!) And my only suggestion is to make sure you order a pic w/ lots of deep/bright colors because they turn out a bit lighter than expected (but not super light like designed checks do these days, if you’re familiar w/ them.) I ordered the matte, not glossy, & I suspect that may be a reason that they turned out lighter…perhaps the glossy ones have more color to them. Luckily I did pick a photo w/ very vivid bright colors, so I’m quite pleased. Hope they do this promo again SOON! 1 other things – the envelope they came in was a bit overstuffed, causing the photo card envelopes to get an indention in the shape of the cards, but nothing that I can’t live with (and that kind of stuff easily gets to me.) I’m going to mention that to them & let them know it would’ve been much better in a slightly bigger envelope.
