Happy Friday: Homemade Juice Box Bags
Sent from reader, Valerie:
I am a very proud Aunt who would love to brag for 2 seconds about my 9 1/2 year old nephew, Daniel. He lives in Florida and I live in Connecticut and we only see each other once a year for a short visit. This summer, he asked my sister to show him how to use her expensive sewing machine as he wanted to make Juice Box Bags, like they had seen on the internet.
So after working hard together on learning the fundamentals, he decided he wanted to learn to make the Juice Box Bags. Attached are 3 variety bags (one lunch bag and two shopping bags) that he made for his Aunt (that’s ME!) and his Grandma in New Jersey. The best part, he made them all by himself. I enjoy using my lunch bag during the week, as I think of him all the time. Thought you and your readers would enjoy.
HAPPY FRIDAY!

Wow, he did an awesome job!
So cute! Thanks for sharing!
So cute and he did a great job!
How cute 🙂
Wow, I’m 40 and still can’t figure out how to sew! LOL. Bravo to him for wanting to learn something and following through. He did an amazing job. And how sweet to make the bags for his adoring Auntie!
These are cute and very handy! I have one that was made by a lady in my quilting group. Mine is the lunch bag size and I use it to take to the gym with me.
The lady says that they go through a lot of needles to make just one. Do you find this being a problem also?
What a cute and thoughtful young man! This story really makes me smile! Thank you for sharing this. The bags are awesome!
YOu have a very cook nephew. Wish I had one like him!
Very cool! I’ve been wanting to try this!
wow, i LOVE this!!
Like Aunt like Nephew! Darn creative and just toooo good
I love this post, is so positive, it made me smile and feel good. You can tell he is a really smart boy, crafty and with a big heart. I also love the bags, I hadnt seen them before, they are really adorable, I will have to google the instructions!

Wow! Impressive! Go Daniel! Kids like him will go far in this world,
That is so awesome! I love it!
What a cool and thrifty idea!
Great job, Daniel!
What an awesome kid! How cool.
I wish I knew how to sew! I’m lucky I can fix a tear with needle & thread!! What a smart young man! I did a Capri Sun House Party a few summer’s ago and they sent a Capri Sun shopping bag made from the pouches. I use it all the time and many get compliments! (little do they know I actually didn’t make it LOL)
Beautiful bags, love everything that has to do with recycling. I might try to do this 🙂
Kudos to such a young boy wanted to learn to sew. I cant get my niece and nephew away from their phones for more than a few minutes. Glad to see he followed thru because sewing is much harder than it looks.
Daniel, you’re adorable and amazing! Thank you for sharing, Valerie!
I think it’s awesome that Daniel is sewing! My husband is an amazing tailor and altered his own clothing for many years before he gained weight and was able to wear them off the racks! 🙂 Sewing is a great skill that many do not have, and many don’t realize that being able to sew is a great attribute that opens extra career opportunities! 🙂
Good job 🙂 I love things like this and he sure is an amazing boy. Lucky mommy who has such a creative and skillful son. She must be very proud of him. Keep it up, Daniel! Good luck for more interesting projects like this one. It makes me sew one like this 🙂
What a great kid! I’ll bet he’ll amount to something. Wish I could know who he is in 15 to 20 years from now.
Thank you for sharing this!! Love it 🙂
They are so cute! He did a really good job! Thanks for sharing!
Wow, what a great kid! He is so thoughtful, AND he followed through! I always seem to procrastinate on projects like these, haha. He will definitely go far with such internal motivation!
Thank you all for your wonderful comments on my nephew, Daniel. He is an amazing and very talented young man and as his aunt, I am extremely proud of his dedication to learn and follow thru on this project. Now I need to encourage him to make more so we can sell them to friends! Thank you to Hip2Save.com for the Amazon e-gift card. I have emailed it to Daniel so he can enjoy purchasing something!
awesome Valerie…what a great kid. My baby brothers name is Daniel (he’s 28 lol but still a baby) and i’m partial to it:) I wish my 3 girls would learn how to sew, I never could…If Daniel wanted to make and sell these for a charitable organization of some kind I’d buy each of my girlies one so keep us posted
Bless his heart – he was so determined! Those bags are adorable!
I just found out last night I am going to be an aunt for the first time! I am so excited 🙂 And I’m not allowed to tell anyone yet, so I am telling you all!
He did such a good job! Way to go Daniel!
As an environmentalist, what a cool reuse of a product. Thank you both!
What a little entrepreneur! This is how all great careers are started! Way to go Daniel!
Wow that is nice! You should send a picture in to Capri Sun!! (Might be on a commercial who knows :)!!!
He Rocks!!!! these are awesome!!!
Capri-Sun is all about recycling the juice containers. In fact, I just sent my son to school with a full bag of empty ones. You should send a picture to them or post on their facebook page. 🙂
Great job Daniel! Obviously a fabulous young man (due to Auntie’s love and support as well.)
Thanks for the suggestions! I just emailed Capri Sun and posted on their FB Page. Maybe they will send Daniel a free t-shirt or some coupons for free juice boxes! 🙂
