Does anyone have this and like it? It’s a serger and a sewing machine?
It’s only a serger, not a sewing machine. I have a serger (kenmore brand not this one) and love it! This one is even better because it threads itself.
what is the difference between a serger and a sewing machine? thanks
The serger trims the fabric and finishes the edges. Most projects using the serger, will still require a sewing machine. See my video below to see one in action.
If you look at the wrong side of your store bought clothes, you will most likely see serged edges at the seams.
Thanks for the clarification. Your video is awesome!
Thanks for this great find. I have been wanting a serger and this is perfect!
I have a Singer serger from about 2003 / 2004 timeframe. Still using it today. Works great. This price really is a super deal. If you are making clothes and hate unfinished edges, this is for you. Or if you are interested in making your own tablecloths and place mats, this is for you. You will still need a separate sewing machine to finish most sewing projects. Here’s a video of myself making a travel shoe bag with a serger and sewing machine.

Very nice Caroline! Makes me want a serger!
Thanks Melissa!
Nice!!!!!
It is very nice “How to video” !
Another Christmas present off the list!
We make our own toilet paper, paper towels, table cloths, pads, baby diapers, etc. Pre serger was terrible, post serger is awesome! Way worth the price if you actually make things!
Not sure how a serger helps make toilet paper and paper towels. Could you explain please?
I’m not Em, but I will answer your question. It’s kind of like a cloth diaper. Use the TP and reuse it, cuts down on the waste in the environment. The paper towels; if you use CLOTH napkins, then just wash and reuse. 🙂 HTH
Thanks
Thanks Jenn! Yeah- I just call them paper towels but they’re actually cloth 🙂 I have one set of everyday napkins, a set of nice ones and then a HUGE pile of rags color coded for various things (kitchen counters, floor spills, bathroom etc)
Oooo. I want one, but I can’t even seem to keep my Singer sewing machine in working order (user error, most likely).
Wow, I’ve thought it’d be great to have one of these since forever. I have a sewing machine and to be honest I don’t use a whole lot. I think buying this serger will help motivate me to sew more, because they save serious time in the sewing process. Thank you Collin!!
This machine is TERRIBLE!!! Splurge & get a Brother 1034D you WONT be sorry!!!
Ooh that has way better ratings! Thanks for that advice!!!
