They send about 5 messages per month is what it said when I subscribed 🙂
They will occasionally send new offers, but you can always text STOP when you want to cancel.
I just signed up. It says it is up to 5 messages per month but you are also given a number to text to stop them at any time.

Two weeks ago, my LUNCHBAG mobile coupon for $1 off fruit didnt work. I was literally harassed by a store manager that the mobile coupons never have errors, implied I was lying and had used the coupon. I showed him how the coupons “grey” out once you’ve used them. He still thought I was trying to do something wrong. I was furious! I hope that manager is in the store tomorrow when I do this deal. If they refuse to honor it I’ll say “wow, I guess your mobile coupons DO have errors”. If I am given a hard time I will be calling corporate. I was belittled and treated like a criminal and I did nothing wrong, I was trying to buy bananas. I find it comical they told someone the police were called over a coupon. My spouse works at a law enforcement agency and I was about to call the police over my treatment at Target two weeks ago. They really, really need to do these mobile coupons correctly. This time, it definitely was an error and it was in our favor at least….

I feel ya. I was Targeted by their loss prevention manager and he brought two wanna be cops (security guards) over to the register to make sure my coupons were in order. They stood there with their arms crossed wearing “Men in Black” sunglasses. How embarrassing. I called corporate. Nothing was done, not even and I’m sorry. the worst part was my poor hubby was with me and he says he will never go back to that store again so now I have no shopping buddy. Boo on you Target!
I would make sure to put that on their Facebook page with the location of your store and the name of the cashier, loss prevention manager (if you actually got one,) and the exact details of what happened. When they know that many of their fans are reading and commenting on your experience, they will take action.
Yeah, I always have to go over to customer service for the mobile fruit coupons. It looks like it’s coming off at the register but when I looked at my receipt, it wasn’t counted and it wasn’t grayed out on the screen either.
I also have been treated really bad over coupons. (Never to the point where the police or wanna be police were called though). Called corporate too – never a response. I usually won’t go into target but I’ll make an exception for this coupon.
As newlyweds, my husband and I are on a tight budget, we had already decided that we needed to start buying Christmas gifts now, and be strict with our budget. I saw this deal and got so excited! I did this last night! Got my little boy a watch for Christmas. Couldn’t find by good ones for myself. I wear mine everyday for work(nurse).
Deal worked for me yesterday. Even surprised the checkout guy with my savings, although that’s not a first for me :). Bought a pair of earrings on clearance for $4.48 and got my husband a Casio watch for $49.99 for free. Great deal and one of the easiest I’ve done. The selection on clearance jewelry and watches was kind of limited so hurry in while you can!
After seeing the comments on the TARGET fb page, I went out yesterday and got a pair of $17 sunglasses and a (free) $39 watch. My store had tons of clearance (Florida) but really needed the sunglasses. I also bought a few other things I usually buy at walmart just to help support Target for providing such a fabulous deal 🙂 thanks for the heads up Collin!

How do you get the coupon I just did the text and registered but no coupon has come am I to late for the offer?
Since it didn’t work on my (stupid) smartphone, I had my hubby send the text and then he sent me the link. I filled out my info and waited 10 mins but have received nothing either 🙁

I did it a couple of days ago on my smartphone and never received the coupons either.
I would type OFFERS again and see if you get the coupon that way.
If you’re in CA, I got mine yesterday & it says 11 of that deal left! So, I tried again on my husband’s phone, & it never came through, I guess it’s all GONE 🙁

I tried this deal last night, but it wouldn’t work. It worked until I noticed the less expensive item I picked out rang up wrong (it was on clearance for 5.02 and rang up 16+) When I pointed it out he corrected it and tried the coupon again and it would no longer work. He was rather rude and said it wouldn’t work on clearance, even though it had the night before for my daughter. He said there wasn’t anything he could do about it. I am thinking of going back but I wonder if it did something when he tried it twice.
Go back and speak to someone at Guest Services, they should be able to correct it and make the adjustment.

Me and my husband did this deal yesterday and scored watches (39.99 valued timex) for free. Got earrings for 2.38$ just like u did. THANK YOU for all the work you and your helpers do…. U r the BEST! We went to diff stores in ohio and my cashier was flabbergasted and called manager to check it…. The employees were really nice abt it. The manager said If the computer allows it she can’t do anything abt it. In the store where my husband went the cashier was surprised but didn’t say anything.

You can only use the coupon once. I’m sure brindha123 used her phones coupon and her husbands on his phone. That’s the only way you can score this deal more than once, multiple phones. =)

A cartwheel deducts after all other coupons, so it would not be usable.

They will send you a text message with an https://….all you have to do it type that into your browser EXACTLY like it shows on your phone and then print it out. It will have the barcode to scan 🙂 HTH!!

Your text message they send will have an https://…..ect, included with it. Type that into your browser EXACTLY how it shows on your text. It will pull up the barcode for you to print out and take to the store with you! 🙂

I have tried signing up for the texts twice now and for some reason when I enter my info I’m unable to enter my first and last name..it will only let me enter numbers..so after I fill out everything else and try to submit it wont go through and says there is an error 🙁

How does this work? Does the more expensive item automatically come off? or Do I have to tell the cashier I’m buying the cheaper item and want the more expensive item for free? (I’m assuming that the cheaper item would automatically be taken off the bill.)
It (should) automatically take the higher priced item off. That’s the goofy part that has thrown everyone for a loop these past few days!
ladies you can go to your app store download the target application then you will see mobile coupons on the side it will ask you to sign up then text you a 4 digit pin you put that in and your set HTH

Yes it will! When you recieve your text message, it includes an https:// address. All you have to do it type that into your browser and then print off the page, which includes the barcode! 🙂

Yes, you do. They’ve changes some laws with text messaging recently ( I had to opt in to keep receiving them). After you do that it should text you back with your link!

My phone says it expires 10/4 Friday, but the Facebook post listed says Saturday? Just wanted to point that out, because I’d be bummed if I waited until Saturday and the Facebook posting was wrong and missed the deal! But maybe it’s right? I just think that’s weird!
I just did it in Cincinnati, OH with no problems. I bought a clearance earrings for $3.88 and got a $14.99 owl watch necklace for free (we have no need for regular watches)!! I handed the cheaper item first just in case. FYI I also scored 3 Merona polo shirts for about $15 total using the $3 off $15 text coupon with a Cartwheel deal and the shirts were clearance for $7.48. The husband will be happy 🙂 Thanks!!!

I tried this late last night, and it no longer works. The manager said he has gotten an update from corporate that it had been fixed, and they were no longer honoring it. Bummer!

Got mine without any problems in Burbank, CA…I only used it to get a $12.99 item for free because I didn’t really like the more expensive items. Still a great deal though! I even took a screen shot with me of the Target facebook page endorsing this use of the coupon just in case.
I saw someone say that they were able to print a coupon with a link they got sent to their “non-smart phone”…. can anyone help me with this? We don’t have smartphones and my watch recently broke. I feel lost without one!

I just used this in Knoxville, TN today and it worked for me! I made sure the cashier rang up the lower item first to be on the safe side… I think she nearly fainted when she saw the new total! I just got a $40 Timex watch and an $8 pair of earrings for 8 bucks! Still works at the Hurstbourne Lane store in Louisville, KY. Matter of fact, the cashier asked me how to get the OFFERS text so he could get the deal for his wife. And, there were plenty of watches and jewelry to choose from.
The deal totally worked for me in Castle Rock, Colorado. I bought earrings for $2.38 (like you) and got the neon green Ironman Triathlon watch for free ($34.99). As an aside, I have bought at least 10 of these watches in my life, maybe more. I wear one every day for running and just daily wear. After about two years of daily wear, they usually die out and I have to buy a new one. But, thanks to this awesome deal, I won’t have to pay for my next replacement watch.

It says on the bottom of the list of coupons (in fine print) that “Coupon value may not exceed value of item purchased.” So, this may be an error in the system that get corrected before some of us get there. Hopefully, it still works. I’ll keep my fingers crossed!
I’m not saying I’m know for sure, but that would probably be for a $ off coupon. For example, a $2 coupon can’t be used on a $1 item. I know that if you have two coupons (man. and target) and they exceed the price of the item, one has to be adjusted down.
