Kohl’s: Did You Get an Apology Email with $25 Credit? (& KitchenAid Stand Mixer Deal!)

Just a heads up for all you Kohl’s shoppers! If you’ve placed an order with Kohl’s over the last couple of weeks (especially during Black Friday), be on the lookout for an email with the subject line “Important information about your kohls.com order“. Several readers have reported getting this email from Kohl’s with a FREE $25 code in it valid to use both online and in-store! This $25 credit is an apology for deliveries being late due to the weather. Sweet!

    I did get the email & $25 last night. I have tried multiple times to place an order using the credit but I get an error message every time!! I would go to the store but I don’t have the 30% off to use in-store 🙁

      OK, Duh!! It does state that it is an in-store pass. I guess I will wait until a 30% off pass comes in the mail. I am glad for the long exp. date!

        With a promo like this, I doubt that you can use the 30% off with it (it will be treated like Kohls cash, $25 credit will be deducted first and all other % off will come off the balance of that). Just a heads up, this is how Kohls usually works.

        There is an in-store pass code AND an online code in the email….and it also states you can use it online or in-store.

          You can use it online with the 30% code or the free shipping code, I tried it both ways and it works, but only with one or the other… although there is a 4 digit pin for online you don’t need it, you actually put it in as one of your coupon codes. Then you can put in one of the other codes to go with it. I chose the free shipping code because it saved me more. I used it with ship4udec, but it also works with XMAS30

      there are two separate codes, one with a pin for instore use, and down lower on the left is the online promo code

    I placed Black Friday orders. Still haven’t gotten them and Kohl’s “customer service” doesn’t know where my stuff is, if or when I will get it. Plus, I held on the phone for over 30 minutes for “we don’t know”! I realize that it is the holidays…I also take the weather into account but, why does Kohl’s seem to be the only one with this issue?

      That is my biggest frustration with them right now too…granted the $25 would’ve been nice, but to not be able to tell me when/if I will receive my order or what I will/will not receive…UGH!

    $100 kohls gift card I bought at albertsons last week and got $20 cat for groceries
    … I had a total of $130 to put towards this I paid $55 on my kohls card
    Will be getting $30 back on rebate and $20 kohls cash.

    I’m pretty mad about kohls.com, they canceled 2 of my orders on that big sale December 1st! After 9 days and me thinking they were sending it. I have so much better luck in the store. I stopped in and explained the situation to the manager and he was super nice and gave me one of my cancelled products at 5 bucks! Great in store customer service at my kohls, just horrible online service.

      agreed, I have always hated the online CS but by instore CS is always, always, always super and understanding! I have complained numerous times about the online but I can see it hasn’t changed in 3 years (I do very minimal shopping online for this reason!)

    My e-mail says only use once per customer… I wonder if the coupon code was the same for everyone and is just a one time use or if there were different codes for everyone.

      I’d be surprised if anybody with the code could get $25. Can you imagine how many people would use it?? They have to be different codes. Mine is about 15 letters and numbers long.

    I didn’t get one but I am super frustrated with Kohls! First I got an email saying some changes were made to my order but no details other than I would not be charged for the cancelled items. Then I spent 35 minutes on hold waiting to talk to someone and spend another 15 minutes while they researched my order only for them not to be able to tell me what was cancelled so I can try to get it elsewhere. Then I emailed customer service but there is apparently a 7-14 day turnaround on response…so now I have no clue what is or isn’t coming, when the items I ordered that are coming will be delivered and no one at Kohls can tell me either. To make it worse, most items I ordered have since gone on sale for even cheaper but I refuse to spend another hour on the phone debating over the cost of things I don’t know If I will be receiving. I even applied for and got a Kohls charge but this experience has been such a disaster, I don’t know if its worth keeping it. So disappointed!!!

      You’re right, I had not even called to complain yet and that order actually shipped today if their site is accurate. Now I need my other order cause it’s a Christmas gift still sitting “in fulfillment” status since Dec 4th.

        mine also shipped, I didn’t complain, and they said they are expediting shipping as well. I think it is fantastic costumer service. I have loved kohls for years and with over 600 online orders, this is my first poor experience that actually turned out fantastic

    Interesting thing: I got an email from Kohls on Dec. 7 saying my order was ready to be shipped. When I went on their site to track it a couple hours ago, it said it was where it had started! Then, about an hour after tracking it, I received another email saying it was ready to be shipped!!! 🙁 I’m so sad: #1 at not receiving my order in time as it is a gift for someone else, and #2 at not receiving the “Sorry” email.

      Also meant to say, I totally understand it taking a long time due to weather. But, everyone who has had a slow order should be at least contacted with some sort of apology, if nothing else.

    I received all my early Black Friday purchases within a few days of my ordering. I am glad because this was my first time ordering for delivery from Kohl’s. I can understand others frustration, but I think that was good customer service to acknowledge the tardiness of delivery. For those who received an additional $25 credit, sweet. When Mother Nature strikes u just have 2 embrace it. Happy holidays to all!

    I have placed about five orders in last three weeks and just got the one I placed November 26. I haven’t received one yet. Not mad they don’t have to do such. I am a bit frustrated though because I purchased the food network Dutch oven online on last day to purchase online and get rebate. When the package came the shipping receipt states I purchased the day after. I printed my email confirmation/receipt. Hopefully I will get rebate. Nothing showing up on their rebate site yet

      Jennifer, I would love to know how you make out with this, The same thing happened to me and I don’t know whether to take the items back to the store for a refund or send in the rebate. Because, if I send in the rebate and it is denied, I can’t return the item because there will be no upc code on the box.

    No email, but ive called twice now since i never got a packing slip in my box so i could do the rebate! They said today oh im going to email you a confirmation right now! I got nothing! Not impressed! I cant do the 50.00 rebate without the packing slip!

      I ordered some items and couldn’t find the packing slip either….turns out it was taped to the OUTSIDE of the package in one of those clear sleeves! Check there 🙂

      I thought I didn’t receive a packing slip with my stand mixer but found it on the outside of the box in case you didn’t check there.

    I purchased the automatic candy dispenser (think it was $6.39 shipped), and they finally did ship it last week. Was very ecstatic to wake up this morning to an apology email & $25 gift card from Kohl’s! What a great company. The delay wasn’t even that terrible for me.. I don’t need it for another 10 days anyways.

    However, Walmart “mishap” a few weeks ago REALLY put me out.. and all I got was a measly $5 and a total of 12 days of my funds being held and no order! So, in comparison to that, I am now a loyal Kohl’s customer!

    I didn’t get one either! 🙁 I ordered on 11/29 and just got it today. It said it would arrive between dec. 5 – 12. It shipped on dec 3rd and FedEx picked it up that day. Would of been nice to get one since I had been fighting with them for 2 months to credit my account for some shoes that were double ordered. I just got an apology for that whole mess.

    I am thoroughly annoyed with Kohl’s! They charged me for a purchase I never made, which I am still trying to resolve. Out of the two purchases I did make on Nov 29, I got one but not the other. And no gift card to compensate me.

    I have to chime in with the annoyance of Kohls. I didn’t receive the email for 25 off and I didn’t get an email until 9 days after my order issue of not receiving a packing slip for the rebate of black and Decker. Customer service was delayed in responding which made me submit my rebate without the slip. If I don’t receive this apology email, I am considering never shopping there again, amoungst other big retailers.

    Placed a large order on November 26th and another beginning of December and still missing items from both orders. My account has already been charged for items I haven’t even received yet. Spent almost an hour on hold with customer service. No email apologizing. Not sure what has happened to Kohls, but I’m not sure I will give them my business anymore.

    I did not get the email. None at all and I place 7 orders since Black Friday. I ordered stuff with mail in rebates. What do we do if we don’t get them in time? Also, I ordered the tru slow cooker and they shipped one that looked the same, but has a different upc and sku so it won’t work for the rebate right? The packing slip says it shipped the one on the rebate, but they didn’t. I never imagined there would be a problem and I cut the upc before matching it to the rebate. Will they let me exchange in store with the wrong upc?

    I got the email and code, but still not happy at all with them. I did 80% of my christmas shopping with them. I had three orders. I have not recieved any of them yet. One was cancelled and I never really realized it. How do you send an email saying order is being filled and will ship and then in the next 10 min. send another one saying order cancelled due to system cancellation? What the heck is that? My first order I used a giftcard percentage off promo and then my debit card, I have recieved at least for emails for this order consistantly refiguring my order and cancelling items off, they say credit will be issued back to gift card and my debit card is still showing the same amount charged. Totally great- NOT considering when I placed my order I used up the gift card and threw it away. Now what to do? Lots of christmas presents not being shipped now and now I have a whopping $25 compensation for THREE 0rders. which is resulting in about 7 presents. OH happy day. All I can do is laugh and vent. I am so disappointed in them right now.

    My dad and I placed about 12 orders online. Some of my items went out of stock including the $19.99 Buffett server and a couple of other items. However, I did get all the Kohls cash. Got over $45 in Kohls cash for the items I never received and was never charged for. I sent them an email regarding my cancelled items and they replied with an apology and also told me to contact them if those items ever come back in stock. They said they will adjust the price for me and ship all items for free (I am holding on to that email). I was frustrated too but considering all the good deals I scored this year I am not going to complain. They also sent me the $25 apology certificate that I am going to use when those items come back in stock.
    BTW I am still waiting on a few items. I can understand everyone’s frustration but Kohls has been good to me so I might settle for this unexpected inconvenience. Why ruin this Holiday Season?! I hope everyone gets the rest of their stuff shipped to them on time including myself.
