Will watch email closely–no email from them since Dec. 16th

  2. Kathy

I used to get their newsletter all the time and could get the free samples. During the last SEVERAL months I no longer receive the newsletter, but could go through your postings and still get the sample. Now today with no newsletter in my email equals no sample. I double checked my account with them and I am still signed up for the newsletter.

I have the same problem. I am signed up for all these newsletters (Eat Better, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury) but I don’t get any emails any more. I checked my spam and they are not there either.

      • Diane L.

Same here. I went into the web site and it verified that I am a registered member and I’m signed up for the newsletter. But I didn’t receive this freebie e-mail. Odd!

    • Kathy

Okay, after the several months of not receiving it, I just got it and it had the link for the free sample and there were still samples available. The mystery deepens… 🙂

I just now rec’d my Betty Crocker email with the Chicken Helper freebie …2 full days after everyone else. (Of course there aren’t any left now.) I feel I have no chance of receiving this one then. :-/

    • Erin

      It’s your email provider.

Thanks for the heads-up, Collin! I’m glad I searched on the e-mail address provided, as the subject line of my e-mail from them was different than what was shared. Mine was “10 Comfort Foods You Can Feel Good About.”

  5. Kathy

I’m not getting these e-mail’s either but I was always getting the samples thanks to Collin. Anyone else wonder if that’s why we aren’t getting the e-mails. They are looking to SPREAD the samples around a little more???

    • Kathy

Yes that’s what I’m thinking too.

    • Erin

Probably. People who were actually signed up for the emails often weren’t getting a shot of getting the sample by the time they received the emails. I’ll bet the companies got some complaints about that.

My emails from them show up late in the day and by that time the freebies are gone. So far today I have not received that email yet.

It seems that I do get the General Mills e-mails eventually, but several hours after the first recipients. The only time I was ever able to get to the form on time -and- successfully request was the Pillsbury offer earlier this week. Today’s offer is for the same chips. I don’t have the Live Better America e-mail, but I figure that’s why. They do seem to be dividing the invitations for the allotted samples among fewer people, since I definitely didn’t request the chips any more quickly than on previous attempts (nearly 6 hours after receiving the e-mail, vs. previously within about an hour and a half of the sent time).

      • Erin

I always get my emails late, too. They are sent at the same time, so it has to do with your email provider. The email link system should be beneficial to those who are signed up and who get the emails late. Before, people who were not signed up for the emails would get the freebies via bloggers’ links and they’d disappear within an hour or so. This way, freebies are usually still available to those who actually signed up for the emails. I didn’t get my email til 3:33 and I didn’t sign up til 4:20, and I got mine just fine.

      • RB

By the way, my e-mail finally came within the past hour (5:30-6:30 CT), and it did have the link in it even though I was offered and signed up for the chips through the Pillsbury e-mail earlier this week.

    • Tia

I didn’t even receive the Pillsbury email from the other day but I got every other “holiday-related” email they’ve sent this season. I too think they’re not sending them out to everyone like before.

      • Erin

Since they have required the use of email links for the freebies, I’ve gotten all but one. I suspect the one I didn’t get was because the email was accidentally deleted permanently when I was having some computer issues. I suspect people *think* they are signed up for the newsletter with the freebies but are actually signed up for other newsletters. Or are perhaps missing the link within the newsletter. My email with the link was not holiday related, by the way.

My advice would be to check the website for your preferences in receiving the monthly newsletter, I know I checked yesterday and u was not actually signed up to receive the newsletter from the company. I changed it and hopefully next month I will receive the newsletter and a chance at the free sample. 🙂
