This Elmo train set is 19.99 on Amazon. I price-matched it and used the 5.00 off Sesame Street coupon, and the Cartwheel, and got it for 5 dollars!!

How can that be? If the cartwheel came off first making it $10, you shouldn’t have been able to use the coupon for $19.99+…. If the coupon came off first after the price match, that would make it $14.99 and 50% off that would be $7.50, right? Regardless…an AMAZING deal!

Cartwheel is like a discount so she reached the $19.99 threshold to use the MQ. So $19.99-$5= $14.99-50% off cartwheel= $7.49. They probably had red card and maybe gift cards to pay with.
The guy at customer service asked for my coupon first, and then he scanned my Cartwheel last, so my total came to around 5.36 or so (tax).
My target did the price match, then took off the coupon and then did the cartwheel. With tax it came to $5.89, but I don’t know how!

Not necessarily. They have a little tablet there that they use to look up the price, but there have been times that it wasn’t working right or was really slow, so I just showed them the link on my phone. Might work the same if you have a piece of paper as a backup.

Your right, Cartwheel is considered a Target coupon/promotion and is supposed to be applied before the price match, However some locations still do it.

During the holiday season, the coupon policy allowed the cartwheel to be applied after price-match. However, it seems like it’s changed. Now you have to take your chances to see if they allow you to do this. It is not illegal/fraud if they let you. If they allow the cartwheel to go through, then they are accepting their own additional discount.
Thanks but I like to try to follow the policy makes it easier to shop. That way if it’s denied I move on and don’t be wondering why someone got a deal that I couldn’t get.

My target said the elmo train was on clearance at Amazon and wouldn’t let me price match it 🙁 I did get it price matched to targets online price and was able to.use cartwheel, so I paid $20
Um, what the what?! Did you ask for a manager? It doesn’t say it’s a clearance item anywhere on Amazon.com and I’ve never heard of that before at Target. The coupon policy doesn’t say anything about that either.
