Here’s how it works…
* Head over here and register for a Shopmium account (remember to enter the code GHUEYUVP to snag a FREE Lindt Chocolate Bar!)
* Click on the Offers tab and browse through all the current offers. If you find a product you’d like to try, click on the product and then click on the pink “Discover This Product” button to find out specific information about which products are eligible and where you can find the product near you. My current offers include Smucker’s Fruit Spread, Ritz Bits, Burt’s Bees Lip Balm, Chobani Yogurt (one of my personal favorites! :D) and more!
* Head to your local store and purchase the eligible product (you can even click on the “Check Product Eligibility” button while in the store to scan the barcode of the item to confirm that it is indeed eligible!). And don’t forget to get a physical receipt from the store!
* Once you have purchased the item, go back to the offers tab, find the offer and then click the “Request My Rebate” button. You will then be prompted to scan the barcode of the purchased item AND to take a picture of the store receipt.
* Finally, you’ll get your rebate via Paypal! Easy Peasy! 😀

As an example, I used the Shopmium App last week to snag completely FREE M&M’s! That’s right – FREE Chocolate! First, I headed to Walgreens and purchased M&M’s Candies 1.63 oz that we on sale last week for $0.49. How does it work in regards to coupons and using Extrabucks/Up rewards? Do you still get the % off the regular value or the amount you paid.
It’s deposited straight to your paypal account. so it doesn’t take the money off at the register. Much like Ibotta and Checkout51 except there isn’t a minimum to transfer and it does it automatically.
It’s a good app but in my experience the rebates a little bit of time to be verified. It’s not quite as much “instant gratification” as Checkout51 or Ibotta. If anyone would care to use my link, it’s GMUUEUQK. Thank you! 🙂

So far my experience has been ok…I think they still need a little more improvement compared to Ibotta or Checkout51, but still a decent app…last week when I tried uploading some receipts, it was just super slow and it would freeze….and for some items, it took more than 48 hrs to get my refund, but I did get it….and the app is from France so when I went to their facebook page, everything is in French….they said they were working on their US/English page….but over all, its still a pretty good app….especially when some items also have refund on Ibotta or Checkout51 and you get a double refund and most of the time a moneymaker!….my referral code is GGYMKKRU if anyone wants to use it….and like Collin mentioned above, you will get a free Lindt Bar! 🙂
One thing I found that’s much easier is to upload photos from your gallery instead of taking them and trying to upload from the photo itself. That seems to move things along.

Yes, I have used it with coupons and I was able to redeem offers on Checkout51 and Ibotta before combined….also, I will be redeeming a Glade item on both Checkout51 and Shopmium later today….
you can use it w/ other coupons but it seems to reduce the amount you receive by that amount. Not as great as Checkout 51 and Ibotta. EG I submitted a receipt for Glade item and had used a $3 coupon so I only got 25% of the remaining $2 I spent.
Over on mashupmom.com, she contacted Shopmium to inquire about how the referrals work because we’re all getting the emails but not receiving paypal money for them. This was their response:
Your referral credit will automatically be applied in the greatest amount possible to your next rebate. Meaning it is a credit on your Shopmium account, not cash to your Paypal account. For example, if you end up paying $3 for an item (after your rebate), you will receive up to $3 from your referral credits. You will keep getting credited like this for each rebate, until your referral credit amount goes down to $0.
Other special offers are the ones offered by SHOPMIUM. Ofcourse you can submit same receipt to all 3 apps. For example the BELVITA BIACUITS are offered by all 3 apps. Namely checkout 51, ibotta and shopmium
Just buy 1 box for $2.98 at walmart. Sumbitt to all 3 and get back $3
On one site you had to buy 2 boxes of Belvita bars not 1.

I shopped last Saturday and still waiting for approval. I don’t have a smart phone but am able to use my Ipad 2. Was completely unable to scan the Lindt bar (it was very small) but made it slightly larger on my laser copier and then it did scan. I learned to be very patient because several times I would scan a product like the ritz bits or m&m s and it would say “not eligible”. I kept trying though and was successful. Taking repeated photos of same long receipt is a pain though. I would save the Shopmium for smaller purchases and short receipts. I do like Checkout 51.
