I bought this model HL-2270DW brand new 3 years ago, works great! If you need your printer to be wireless, this refurbished one is a good deal! However if you don’t need wireless then just buy the base model HL-2240 brand new, which goes on sale very often for about $59.

u can buy the generic toner on amazon for $15…it will last u for at least 8 months to a year
I bought this printer a month ago, because I was sick of buying ink all the time, and I LOVE it! It’s seriously awesome.
Wish it was a color one. I know lots of people print in black and white and I know stores take the black and white coupons, but I prefer to print mine in color.
A color laser is $300-$400 plus, and not really practical for home use, unless you print a lot, like have an at home business.

If it’s like the other Brother laser printers, and I can’t imagine it wouldn’t be, it comes with a starter toner pack.
I have the one that isn’t wireless, but it’s basically the same thing. It comes with a starter cartridge and it got me about 500 prints before I had to get a new one. A full cartridge gets me about 1500 prints.

I bought a more expensive version of this a few months ago with the scanner/ copier and I love it. I can print from my iphone and surface as well. (For iphone download brother iprint and scan for free).
