Hahahaha I’m with you on not getting why VB is as popular as it is. But to each their own!
I wouldn’t carry a VB as a purse, but their totes make great travel bags. Toss them in the trunk of the car or squish them under your seat on a plane. Bring them back home and throw them in the wash, can’t beat it.
its not their prints i dislike, though that is a reason. its more like, I’ve gotten (new!!) leather coach bags for the same price as these cloth bags. i guess thats what puzzles me.

Its her blog, she can post whatever she wants to. She’s posting it even though she’s not a big fan of VB, which is pretty awesome of her. The whole point of her blog is to share the deals which SHE finds interesting/would buy. She entitled to an opinion just like everyone else. And she probably has hundreds of thousands of NEW readers everyday that don’t know this.

Collin I wasn’t a fan of Vera Bradley either, that was until my 5 year old son was diagnosed with leukemia in August. Since then we have spent a great deal of time in the hospital and I would see the nurses and other mothers caring Vera bags. The Vera Bradley bags really have a way of cheering the hospital up and bringing in a ray of sunshine to a sterile place. For that reason I am now a huge Vera fan!

I’m with you Collin. I’m not a fan of Vera Bradley either. The patterns are way too busy for my taste. It’s like psychedelic overload! ^__^
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their tote bags! Their large tote is huge…yet it qualifies as a carry on! They are great to carry over your shoulder…can’t do that with hard sided luggage. Also easy to spot if you do check your luggage. And what luggage, purse, backpack, pool bag, diaper bag, etc can you throw in the washing machine! Try one Collin, you might like it!

Soooo funny! I had no idea your hatred for VB. I’ve never been a fan but I was on the search for a bookbag style diaper bag and VB was the best one I could find at a reasonable price. So since then I’ve been waiting for a print that I could halfway stand to go on sale. So today then I added the lanyard, ID case, purse, diaper bag, umbrella, paci holder, bottle warmer, and lunch bag all to my cart for $105, free shipping, and, well, you can’t get all that anywhere for that price so I had to share. FYI I did the Dogwood print, it’s not that loud. Also, I really like that you can throw it in the washing machine and that it washes well.

I used to be a HUGE Vera fan. Now I could go either way. My husband used to call them my “pot holder purses” because he said they reminded him of a pot holder! 🙂

I think their designs have gotten more youthful over time even my sisters who are not big fans have found patterns they liked now… Plus I like the solid color ones too. The umbrella is cute.
