I could think of so many things that my family (or other families) truly need besides an expensive “designer” purse—especially more than one. Sorry for the vent. Such a waste of money here on materialistic crap. I have had one purse I got for $1 at a yard sale 5 years ago. It totally does the job. I don’t have to “match”. I might find a “new” one at a yard sale this year.

I don’t think it’s necessary to be so judgmental. Collin has a WIDE range of fans, from those who are barely scraping by to those who are more affluent. Deal-finding and couponing isn’t limited to the poor. I don’t see anything wrong with someone treating herself to something nice to feel womanly or beautiful–for some that might be a massage or mani/pedi and for others it might be a nice purse. And more power to them if they can get a nice one for a great deal!
