No, this is a new rebate that is good for purchases made July 6- Aug. 2. No need to “beware”…

What if the photo paper comes with printer as a bundle deal does that count for the $300 American Express card
The deal Michelle is looking at did end on June 30th, but that is not the promotion that is being promoted here. There is another promotion that started July 6 and goes through August 30th. If you go to the canon link on the rebate form and click on the “camera/lens and printer promotion” info, it will take you to a list of authorized canon dealers that are eligible for the gift card rebate deal going from 7/6-8/30. Amazon.com is on that list of participating dealers, so unless I’m missing something obvious, this deal should be a valid one.
I dont think that printer is sold from an authorized dealer.
I need a new printer, just for home use, and this sounds good. However only Canon makes the ink cartridges. Wow they are expensive! $189.00.
I bought this printer last year. It is a great printer, but it is large and very heavy. The ink runs about $122, and mine is currently out. Always frustrating that it is cheaper to buy a new printer than replace the ink.

The ink cartridges for this printer ranges between $16.99 per cartridge to $124.99 for multi pack cartridges. If you buy this printer, buy from Staples, Target, or Best Buy where you can price match with Amazon.com and use coupons! 🙂

Is this only for pictures?
You can print whatever you want, bw docs included. However if you don’t need the large format I wouldn’t recommend it. I am an artist so being able to print 11×17 is helpful and why I purchased it. Ink is a little harder to find, the staples by me did not seem to have it. Amazon does though.

FYI, i just had to report that i sent in the application for the last rebate on 27th of June and just got my $400 gift card!! I bought the T3, printer and paper for $350. I sold the paper and printer for $130 after fees and shipping on ebay.
When I bought it last year, I received the $300 gc rebate without any issues. I was nervous about it too, rebates are always risky.
If I submit for the Adorama rebate can I still do this one?

I purchased this last time it was available through adorama. Followed all the rebate directions. After checking the status of my rebate online today, it said, “rebate violation.” I’m not sure why this would be and concerned that I may not get the $300 that I had been expecting nor the $400 that others said they received.
