Hi everyone my son just left for Marine Bootcamp 3 weeks ago and I missed his one call home because nobody informed me to take the private call off. So myself and some other Recruit moms from the FB support pages thought it would be a great idea to have made some important helpful hints for parents and loved ones to receive in the recruiting offices and in the packets each recruit is given to take home. I have learned so much in the last few days. The really importent things that nobody tells you. So if anyone has any codes they aren’t going to use please forward them to me to Helina70@yahoo.com I’m trying to get as many made as I can until us moms can figure out another way to get this info out BEFORE their loved one ships out. We’re trying to prevent that crushing heartache I felt reading his letter saying he called and a message said we weren’t accepting private calls. My heart broke the phone never even rang. I stayed up for a week all night waiting too. So if anyone is feeling generous and would like to pay it forward to the parents and loved ones of those future defenders of our country feel free to donate those codes and I will screenshot the finished design so you know your code was used properly. Hi Helen! I remember that first phone call. We both cried! I think getting the package home of ALL of their belongings was the WORST though. My daughter is in A School in the Navy to be a corpsman. We are not sure if she will be serving the marines or navy yet (marines do not have their own corpsmen). Don’t worry, it gets easier as time goes on for the both of you!
