Are you a fan of Ibotta and Checkout51? If so, you may be excited to hear that Groupon has released a new cash back app called Snap! Similar to Ibotta and Checkout51, Snap pays you cash when you purchase select items at your local store(s).

How does it work?

* Head here and download the Snap App for FREE (available for both iTunes and Android). If you don’t have a Smartphone, you can still use Snap on your computer – just create an account here.

* Browse through the different offers available (I was offered $1 cash back for buying a gallon of milk, $2 cash back for buying Huggies Wipes and lots more) – note that some of the offers can be redeemed as many times as you’d like! Each offer’s redemption limit is clearly noted on its details page.

* Buy items from the Offer List at ANY store

* Upload a photo of your entire receipt using the app or website within 2 days of purchase

* When your account reaches $20, you can request payment. Go to the ‘My Account’ page and select ‘Cash Out’.

* Typically payments are distributed within two weeks of request but may take up to sixty days.

* Note that offers expire either when the maximum number of redemptions has been reached or the product program has concluded. Expired offers will either be hidden or clearly marked as unavailable.

Side note – the links in this post are my referral links. Keep in mind that you can also create your own referral link to share with friends, family via Facebook or email. When they go through your link, you’ll get $1 after they sign up and redeem an eligible offer.

As one idea, one of the current Snap offers is $2 cash back on Huggies Wipes (with no redemption limit) – this offer ought to make for free wipes at your local Walmart since it works for any Huggies Wipes – no size specified![/h2s_box]

How do you get refunded? A check by mail or a pay pal account?

  2. Becky

    Read the fine print:
    (e) Account Maintenance Fees. If you fail to redeem an Offer for twelve (12) consecutive months, Snap by Groupon will at that time either: (1) terminate your account if your account balance is zero or (2) debit your account balance $2.00 as an account maintenance fee at the beginning of each month thereafter until either: (i) you redeem an Offer; or (ii) your account balance becomes zero. If your account balance becomes zero due to the account maintenance fee, Snap by Groupon will terminate your account.

Honestly seems fair. Disney movie rewards is something like 90 days of inactivity and they just close your acct. And you lose any points you had.

Savong star has the same policy. I can’t imagine not using this app at least once per year.

      Used your link

Offer for Huggies wipes is gone.

    • Moria

I was just going to say that! I printed coupons for them. Then I decided to check the app to make sure they were available before buying them as it said almost gone when I first checked. Good thing I checked as it’s all gone now. I didn’t even get to leave the house!

  5. Netta

The Huggies Wipes are all gone. Ugh!

  6. Emily

I just went to Walmart and did the wipes and diapers. I bought multiple packs of diapers and of wipes but when I submitted my receipt, there was no way to enter the quantity, it is just says it gave me $2 for wipes and $3 for diapers, pending approval. Anyone else know what to do about this?

  7. Ashley

Wipes gone bummer!! 🙁 I saw on IG people were buying like 40+ packs and submitting for the offer.

    • Kristy

I really hope that isn’t true but I believe people would do that sadly.

  8. Katie

Can anyone confirm it will give you multiple rewards of the same type on the same receipt? Like if you buy 5 wipes, will it give you $10 back from that receipt?

    • Hailey

      The offer is gone 🙁

      • Katie

I know 🙁 I was just using it for an example, as I want to buy multiple packs of diapers lol

    • Ashley

I submitted for the Clorox deal and I had 8 bottles on one receipt and it says I will get back $4 since the offer is $1/2. Btw the wipes are now all gone.

      I used your link 🙂

I know she is always trying to get her first lol

        • Hip2Saver

She’s already had it…at least a couple of months ago! It’s getting old, isn’t it?

I only use ibotta and checkout51 but I barely remember and can keep up with those 2. Any tips to stay on top? TIA

    • shannon

when I make my grocery list, I try to make some kind of notation that an item has Ibotta and/or Checkout 51 deals attached to it. That way, I will remember to submit the receipt for every single item and leave nothing out. I also submit the receipts immediately after purchasing items as I’m less likely to lose the receipt this way.

Redemption make take up to sixty sixty days? LOL

    that’s funny!!

  12. Jen

    Wipes offer is gone already:(

Thanks for this new app! I can’t wait to start saving even more. Plus, you can triple dip with Ibotta and Checkout 51…

  15. D

I used someone’s link above mine to sign up. This seems like it is really going to be a great new app. I love how you can easily stack the savings with checkout 51, ibotta, savingstar, shopmium, coupons, sales, cartwheel, etc. I would love it if someone would use my referral link to sign up as a new user! Thanks! 🙂 https://snap.groupon.com/app?ref=7d21ec638ccc4bcf
