Snap by Groupon: Get Cash Back on Grocery Purchases at ANY Store (Huggies, Milk, Bread + More)
Are you a fan of Ibotta and Checkout51? If so, you may be excited to hear that Groupon has released a new cash back app called Snap! Similar to Ibotta and Checkout51, Snap pays you cash when you purchase select items at your local store(s).
How does it work?
* Head here and download the Snap App for FREE (available for both iTunes and Android). If you don’t have a Smartphone, you can still use Snap on your computer – just create an account here.
* Browse through the different offers available (I was offered $1 cash back for buying a gallon of milk, $2 cash back for buying Huggies Wipes and lots more) – note that some of the offers can be redeemed as many times as you’d like! Each offer’s redemption limit is clearly noted on its details page.
* Buy items from the Offer List at ANY store
* Upload a photo of your entire receipt using the app or website within 2 days of purchase
* When your account reaches $20, you can request payment. Go to the ‘My Account’ page and select ‘Cash Out’.
* Typically payments are distributed within two weeks of request but may take up to sixty days.
* Note that offers expire either when the maximum number of redemptions has been reached or the product program has concluded. Expired offers will either be hidden or clearly marked as unavailable.

Anyone else having problems with this app? Bought 2 pasta sauces and was credited for 1 (though my email says both $0.75 and $1.50, only $0.75 is showing up in my total). I went to their Facebook page and realized this program has been around for a little while, but relaunched under Groupon. Seems like there are multiple issues. Anyone else with experience using SnapSaves or Snap by Groupon — positive or negative??
I bought a lot of wipes and diapers yesterday – the app told me i would be getting $40 back and only was credited $5… I sent them an e-mail and am waiting for them to open to call – I specifically called customer service yesterday before buying anything and they assured me that I could purchase multiple quantities on the same receipt and I would be credited for each of them. she even said i could “buy 30” if i wanted. So i’m frustrated that either she is wrong, or who ever credited my account is wrong…
How long after you submitted your receipt did you receive an email from Snap App? Thanks!
I submitted my receipt that said I would earn $40 yesterday about 5:00pm and got an email at 4.26am saying I was credited $5… I’m on hold now to talk to them
I submitted a receipt yesterday with two packages of Huggies diapers on it. My account said I would earn $6. This morning I had an email from them saying that after review my account was credited $3 (which is the amount for 1 package of Huggies). I submitted a customer service comment to them through the app and am waiting to hear back. Kaylene, please let us know how your call turns out!
Ok so I waited on hold for a good 40 minutes but it was completely worth it – they have the BEST customer service. She said they are still trying to work out some bugs and went ahead and added what I should have gotten to my account. She said to tell everyone that has the same issue to either e-mail or call in and they will fix your account as well. She was extremely pleasant and nice and helpful. I will definitely be keeping the app!
That’s awesome – I’m glad that they are honoring the deal. I guess I’ll see if my account gets adjusted based on the customer service comment I already did and call the number if I don’t see anything adjusted in the next few days!

To use the coupon multiple times, do we put it all on one receipt? Or separate receipts?
I am having issues with taking receipts–the app won’t focus on the receipt when I try to take a photo. You might think it was an issue with my phone, BUT it works fine with Ibotta and Checkout 51 when I go to take pics.
Anyone have the same issue? Anyone able to resolve it? I submitted my blurry receipt to Snap, but I am not sure if they will accept it. 🙁

not too impressed so far as I have submitted 7 receipts (some 3-4 days ago) and I haven’t received confirmation that my pending receipts are accepted. Has anyone had receipts approved? I guess I am just used to Checkout 51 and Ibotta where the receipts are approved within hours. I also am not thrilled w/ the amount of time it is going to take( 2 weeks-60 days) to receive the payment. Just not looking like a great program to me. Please share any experience you have had so far.
Also I can’t determine if it’s going to be a check I receive or Pay pal deposit. P
I just called and spoke to them and that took 4 tries, every time I called I got disconnected, ughhhhh, anyway finally someone picked up and I explained I had 2 issues, 1) where is the log out on the app, they said they were aware of this and were in contact with the tech dept and on the updates hopefully this will be fixed and 2) I submitted a rebate on 10/4 and have not receive anything yet, they said that since launching in the US they have been over loaded with receipts and they are working to get caught up so that is the reason for the delay, she did not give me a time of when all of this will be fixed but she did say she would update my account since I did call in and make them aware, I’m really not a happy camper right now dealing with this one.
I am totally unimpressed. I’ve had 1 receipt declined. They said I didn’t include the whole receipt but I did. I can’t find any way to pull up the pictures or record etc. I have 3 receipts pending for about 3 weeks now give or take. I’ve had 1 receipt approved for $1 on bread but at this rate I’ll never make it to $20 during the time frame they allow. I think it’s a big waste of time. I do like the opportunity to get money back on produce… if you ever get paid.
I’m curious about this Checkout51 & Ibotta… never heard of them.

How often do new offers happen?
Totally dissatisfied with this app. I submitted a picture of an ENTIRE receipt only 10 days later to receive an e-mail saying I did not include the whole receipt… What the heck? Also, I’ve e-mailed about 3 other receipts I’ve had pending for about 3 weeks. I got the same reply on both about them being overwhelmed. So far I’m pretty disappointed.
I also wish there was a way to review receipts you had submitted like on Savings Catcher from Wal-Mart. I’ve had 1 receipt approved for a $1 credit for bread. At this slow rate I’ll never get $20 approved before the expiration and account closure. Seams to be just a big headache and waste of time so far.
Anyone else feel this way?
