Is anyone having issues having the money come off when you check out? It shows that I got $3 but when I go to check out it isn’t showing that I have that $3 to use towards the purchase….

This is exactly happening with me. Earlier i though that the item is not qualified for this but after trying different items, i have the same issue at checkout not letting me apply those points. Had a chat with sears and they gave me 1-888 number to call shop your way rewards department to adjust this.
Total wastage of my time. Not buying anything from sears.

Im finding that I have to sign in two times when ordering online. Right before heading to last page of checkout, its been asking me to sign in again. After I do, then my points or coupons show. Strange.
I clicked on details under my surprise points and it says you can use the $5 when you spend $35 in toys.
Yeah, I already had points in my account and I can use those, but it isn’t adding the new points. It sounds like it is happening to a few of us. I wonder if it will magically fix itself later today!

I’ve had that happen in the past when I tried ordering from my phone but when I did it on my laptop the points showed up and were taken off my total.

I got $3 ! For those asking about exclusions, here is what mine says:
“Items sold by Sears or Kmart.Excludes Lands’ End, Food, Household Cleaning, Beauty, Stationery, Health, Pharmacy Items, all coupons, clearance and other surprise points.”
How do I find out? My email says I got three dollars but when I go into the app it says I have .18

$3.00 here. Everyone check your shopyourway coupons. I have a 10 off 25 in there, that is good up to the 24th I believe. There are also some new ones added today. Also if you are in Kmart, look by the registers for a red slip of paper that says Free 2-day shipping, on the back are codes for 10 back in points when you spend 10. Good at kmart or sears ( one use per account)

The points are under surprise points and wont be reflected in your regular point amount. But… with that said… mine are also not coming off at checkout as others have mentioned. I did a test with a product not in the exclusions.

Seems I’m having the same problem as everyone else I got $5 (yay!!) but not showing up at checkout.
I got a Minnie Mouse & Sofia the First t-shirts for my 4yo daughter – 3.49 each. Just placed the order and emailed them about the surprise points not showing up in my cart (they showed in my account – $5) Hopefully they’ll be able to apply it to my order! I loved the shirts and even at 3.49 they are a great price! But for $1.49, much better! Thanks Collin!
Yes the points are in my account but not available to use. I wanted to place an order but will wait a couple of days. Hopefully cs will help you redeem your points!

For anyone looking to use their surprise points, they might have a glitch causing a delay. This has happened to me before. Try again later to see if they’re working. If they’re not working after 24 hours, call member services at 1-800-991-8708.

I used to get surprise points last year…..now I receive NOTHING. I called asking about it and I got a VERY SNOTTY CS lady. She said well you don’t get what you want then do you? Wow! I might try to call again to see how I can at least get emails again (everything is checked to receive everything). I guess they don’t like me any more ;-).
I’m back again! Instead of waiting for them to email me back, I chatted with them, so much easier and quicker! They applied the $5 surprise points to my order (after I placed the order, but I have a feeling they’d be able to do it before you place an order, you’ll have to ask) Here is a link: https://www.sears.com/cshome/nb-100000000020506, click on CONTACT US, and it will give you an option to chat with them. From customer service rep: I have successfully issued refund of $5 on your order as your surprise points did not get applied. you will be receiving the refund amount to your credit account with in 3 to 5 business days. I had $10 for sears that was set to expire on dec 3 so I went to sears to use them.at about 8pm pst I checked on my phone and those surprise $ were gone and now it said I had $5 that would expire on dec 10.i told the manager and she said that the register still showed the $10.my wife had nothing on her account but at 8pm pst it said she had $5 that would expire on dec 10.when she checked out those $5 were not available to use yet.maybe there is a new time zone that I have not heard of where it takes a few more (or less) hours for surprise $ to appear. SYW time.by the way,when I checked out the theme song from the twilight zone was playing in the store.And it was raining. I got the email, but points do not show up at checkout. Customer service could not saw the points in my account. She asked for my password and everything. Transferred me to SYW department and lady gave me BS about using them, but would not help me place the order. Very annoying. Why send out points if they wont let us use them. Grrr
Just had the same issue. I came to Sears just to use these points. We had my account up clearly showing the points that were available.
I contacted syw facebook page and this was the response i received:
