Easy Blackberry Cream Cheese Tarts

(Adapted from

8oz. package of cream cheese, softened
2 pre-made refrigerated pie crust dough (or homemade equivalent)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
blackberry jam (or your favorite jam)

How to make blackberry tarts Hip2SaveDirections:  Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a bowl, cream together powdered sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla. Roll out pie crust on a floured surface. With a pizza cutter or knife, cut crust into 3 inch squares. Place about 1/2 teaspoon of cream cheese and jam in each square on the diagonal. Fold sides in and pinch it together a little so they stay closed. Place on a well greased baking sheet or a baking sheet lined with non-stick parchment paper. Bake for 8-10 minutes until crust is lightly browned. Makes about 26-30 tarts. Serve warm or at room temperature. Store leftovers in a covered container in the fridge (They are also great served cold).

These never last long in my home so I often double the recipe. I have also prepared them ahead of time, placed the cookie sheets covered in the fridge and then just popped them in the oven when ready to eat. Enjoy!
