I’ve used this site personally and had no issues, however, my mom tried, they told her it would take 3 hours to process her request. We checked back often in that time, it never went through, they locked her account and said the only way to re-activate it was to send a photo of her drivers license in… very sketchy to me!!! I no longer will use them!

    • Veronica

I don’t know if this pertains to your situation, but I had a similar experience….turns out it was my credit card company. The cc company blocked my purchase for whatever reason, which made my Gyft purchase pending for a while until I spoke with my cc company and got it cleared up.

      • K

I have the same bank as my mom, any mine didn’t pend or anything… I could see the CC company being the issue, but asking for someones license is a little much to me… not even just the number they wanted her to scan a copy of it and send it in.. after she already gave them her cc info – it just doesn’t sound right… there are a lot of ways people can verify your identity, scanning a personal document and sending it in is not a very smart one to pick if you are a honest company in my opinion…

    • Ketsy

I opened one for myself and one for my husband on his cel for ease of use. They were both locked because I used the same paypal to transfer money into them 🙁 Too bad.

    • April

Do you share the same email and or home address it maybe cause of that maybe they think its a duplicate account.

      • Ketsy

We share home address but still. We are two different adults who share different interests. What if he wants to carry around his own gift cards and I mine. Kicking us out of the accounts makes no sense. It’s just bad business.

    • Carol_R

That just happened to me. I have no intention of doing the netverify driver’s license thing. This to me is ridiculous. To me it seems like a scam since they say that it may take 7 days to release the money I charged on my credit card even though they are not giving me the gift cards I ordered and have deactivated my account.

I will never do business with them again and I will make a point to discourage anyone I personally know to use them.

  2. Anna

It tells me ” you have already redeemed that promo code”

    • Anna

I see that this is the same promo code that was posted about on Hip2Save on December 5. I did it that time.

  3. Brandi

It tells me I’m using an unsupported browser!

  4. tiff rafferty

site is aggravating! won’t accept code – finally did – then wouldn’t accept payment… not worth it.

  5. Debbie

Yay! Bought an Amazon card. Thanks!

    • katrina

does the amazon card get mailed to you? or is it a digital code?

      • Angela

They are digital codes. I got one, too. It was immediate.

  6. Stacey

Thank you! In the last week, I have saved 20% on $75 of Target gift cards thanks to you (where i do a lot of my grocery shopping anyway!).

  7. JS

worked for me easily, they also put another $5 off code in my wallet off 15, so all together I got $40 worth of amazon vouchers for $30

    • Carol_R

Thanks. I got the $5 in my wallet off $15 so I did the same deal. Not bad paying only $30 for $40 worth of Amazon gift card value.

      • Carol_R

Unfortunately they declined my order. I consider this site a scam.

  8. CW

It keeps telling me to verify my email address yet i’m not getting the email in my email account to verify it!

    • PW

      Same here

    • PATTI

Same for me. I am not getting their email. .

  9. Glory

    Check your spam for verification.

    • CW

Yup Glory I already tried that too. Even cleared my spam folder and resent it 3 times. Uggh!

      • Brit0211

Same here but I entered my email wrong!

  10. Pat

Worked perfectly for me! First time user, so I also got a one time $5 credit for a $15 purchase. I used it right away to purchase another Amazon $15 GC. Total $40 in GC value for $30. Sweet!
    @CW – check your spam/junk?

    • CW

Yes I tried that and cleared my old spam to “look” for new spam. Uggh, lol.

  11. Ari

Says I have already redeemed. I guess from the last 5/25 code. Wish I had known to wait for Amazon.

  12. Kathy

I’m not getting it either and I checked my spam. maybe it takes awhile

  13. Jennifer

Thank you for posting this! I somehow had a $2 credit on my account also. I was able to use both to score a $25 Amazon gift card for $18.

  14. Michelle W

I did this when posted last time for Amazon. I got the gift cards right away and was able to buy some items for Christmas. This has been the only time I used the site and I had no problems.

  15. CW

Good to know its not just me….

    • PATTI

ya I still haven’t got the email and have requested it 4 times

  16. Amanda

Does anyone know if the target GC can be used in stores? And do they send it to your email or is it a psychical card? (I haven’t signed up for the site & would rather not unless I’m gonna use it!)

    • Anna

Yes, it can. Here are the terms: Target GiftCards and Target Mobile GiftCards can be redeemed for merchandise or services (excluding American Express® and Visa® gift cards and prepaid cards) at Target stores in the U.S. or Target.com. Target eGiftCards can be redeemed for merchandise at Target.com only. Target GiftCards, Target Mobile GiftCards, and Target eGiftCards cannot be redeemed for cash or credit except where required by law. No value until purchased. For balance information, visit Target.com/GiftCards or call 1-800-544-2943. To replace the remaining value on a lost, stolen or damaged card with the original purchase receipt, call 1-800-544-2943.

      • jenn

Like CW said, i was able to load an egift card that was sent to me, to my mobile gift card account and just used it in store thru my phone totally fine today.

    • CW

There is a disclaimer about Target ecards only being able to be used on Target.com, however, when I did eGiftcards with that 10% off on Black Friday, I was able to load the eGiftcards to the Target app on my phone and use the giftcards in the store, from my phone.

  17. Jillian

So far no issues! Also found a $5 code I could use for a $15 purchase (I am a new user! ) So I got a $25 target GC for $20 from H2S and a $15 amazon card for $10!! WOOHOO! 🙂 THANK YOU!

  18. Anna

Target GiftCards and Target Mobile GiftCards can be redeemed for merchandise or services (excluding American Express® and Visa® gift cards and prepaid cards) at Target stores in the U.S. or Target.com. Note: you do have to have the gyft app to redeem in-store though – the cashier will need to scan it like a mobile coupon.

  19. Amanda

Thank you both for your help, much appreciated! I have a virtual visa GC that’s online only that I needed to convert to something physical to buy groceries with! 🙂

  20. CW

Yay! I found a way for the email verification problem for those with the same problem I was having! I added the Gyft app to my phone and connected with Facebook. No email verification! I was able to use the FDFAMILY promo AND they gave you another $5 off so I got another card! Yay!

  21. Susie

I had a very bad experience with this website last time around! One customer rep told me one thing and another told me something else. Also, it took them more than a week to get back to me. I will not order from them again.

  22. Judy

    Ebates for 2.5%

  23. April

My paypal wouldn’t go through (processing for 5+ minutes) so I hit the cancel payment and go back to gyft link planning to retry paypal. Now it says that the promo code has already been used so I guess I’m out on this one!

    • Brit0211

No, it says something about this. Since you didn’t actually use it you have to delete it from that transaction or something.

      • April

I’ve looked into every link on my account. There’s nothing for me to delete anywhere. I’ve sent a message to the website but received an email saying that it could take up to 24-48 hours for a reply.

    • April

Give it a few hours to drop off and try again. If you are paying with paypal dont do it on mobile app use the desktop site.

  24. syeo2013

I’m new to all of this. Do you have to download an app to your phone in order to see the gift card or can you just print it?

    • Sara

You can print it from computer, I’ve done it both this way and also by pulling up the mobile site on my phone to have them scan it.

      • syeo2013

Thanks so much for your help. I can;t seem to find where you can print it from you computer? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! 🙂
        Thanks bunches! 🙂

  25. Ketsy

Does anyone have any Target pharmacy rewards they will not need? I’m sending items to Puerto Rico for their holiday on the 6th of January and every bit helps. Thanks

    Please email makaylaisabel@hotmail.com

  26. Sue

Email verification not coming through for me either; not worth bothering with. I won’t sign in with Facebook to give them access to my info. I tried using three different browsers too. Something very fishing with this site.

    • Sue

Email verification email finally came through about 30 minutes later and the transaction went through; I used paypal and it is now in my Amazon account. Wish I would have gotten the $5 off $15 code someone mentioned 🙁

  27. CW

I have a dummy FB account I only use for such deals so they do not get my info.

    • Sue

      Great idea!!

    • April

What info would they be getting? You have to with a credit card unless you use a dummy credit card also.

      • CW

They won’t get your friends list (because you don’t put any on the account), your “likes”, your other profile info (because you don’t add any…) etc

  28. siri

how did you guys use promo code as well as the 5$ from wallet… i could see we can enter only one code… first timer please help. thanks

    • Kim

You have to do 2 purchases. $5 off $25 AND $5 off $15

      • Sue

Where do you see the $5 from wallet? I am also a first time user. Thanks!

  29. tina

I thought it was something with my email as I did not get the verification either.

  30. Beth

Earn 215 Swagbucks with every $25 Gyft card purchase as well if you go through Special Offers –> Trialpay. Just not valid with Amazon gift card purchases

    • Shea

      Sweet! Thanks for that!

    • Gina M

Thank you for the tip about Swagbucks!!

  31. Sue

Once the order is processed and you get the email verification that your order went through, how do you get the ecard for Amazon. Thank you!

    • Kim

Its in your wallet, just click the reveal code and download it into your amazon account

  32. Olga

This looks shady to me. I just tried to place an order and right before placing the order, I got a weird notification that read something like this: “You are about to create a transaction with PayPal using a promo code. If you choose not to complete this transaction you will not be able to use this promo code in association with this order (Duh!) unless you choose to remove it from your cart or it expires, blah, blah, blah” What?!!! It doesn’t make any sense at all! But I did proceed with the transaction, received an e-mail notification from PayPal, then instead of order confirmation from Gyft I received another nasty message that the transaction could not be completed, or verified or whatever. I checked my PayPal account, saw the payment on my balance crossed out and marked as “cancelled” (Thank God!) I tried to buy an Amazon card with another gift code (one I got for singing up with Gyft) and right before paying I received the same weird message as before. I didn’t proceed with the transaction and just gave up.
    Anyone can relate?

    • April

Not shady sorry you don’t like it I’ve been using gyft on and off for over a year.

    • Sue

I got the message about if you choose not to complete the transaction you cannot use the promo code, which makes sense. They only want you to use it once. My order went through Paypal with no problem and I got my claim code and it has been added to my Amazon account. Not sure why yours is not working?

  33. Lauren

    Great!! Thx!

  34. betty

SEEMS LIKE 50/50 ON WHETHER THIS IS A SCAM/HARD TO COME BY DEAL. I’LL PASS.

    • Angela

I used this before. It really is legit, but the website can be a little screwy and can be frustrating.

    • April

Not a scam I’ve been using gyft for over a year. Why is it a scam to you have they taken your money and not given you a giftcard?

      • Carol_R

If they hold your money for 7 days and cancel your order, yes I consider that a scam.

  35. Julie

Worked great for me…pretty sure it’s not a shady site since it was featured on Ellen?? I ended up getting $40 Amazon for $30. Thanks!!

    • Nicole

Don’t matter if the first lady endorsed it people call things a scam if they cant get it to work instead of trying to figure out what they are doing wrong.

      • Sofia

Sorry, I don’t think people r calling it scam only because we are not able to figure out what we are doing wrong.

I am pretty computer savvy being working in this field and I am not sure it was any issue on my side.

As someone else commented, me and my husband share the same address but might have totally different interest and different stores to go to.

There was nothing in the terms and conditions that it’s one per household as Staples and other rebates specify or I would have gladly accepted that.

They locked my account and asked for my drivers license or social security info for what, $5??

So I do discourage this website whole heartedly. Not to say you did anything wrong by doing a transaction. But sorry please don’t think the other person doesn’t know what they are doing.

        Thanks

    • Sue

It finally worked for me too; my issue was it took about 30 minutes for me to get an email to verify my email. Once that happened, the order went through fine.

      • Sue

        I also ended up getting $40 Amazon for $30. Thanks Hip2Save 🙂

    • Veronica

How were you guys able to get $40 Amazon for $30?

  36. Adrienne

Wish I had known this was an old code. Says I redeemed it already. Waste of time. 🙁

  37. Leah

Definitely worth it! I just bought $55 worth of Amazon gift cards for $40! Savings of $15! Woohoo! Love saving money!

  38. Sara

I love Gyft, not a scam at all! I’ve used the site for quite some time and the app as well. What’s not to love about getting discounts on gift cards?? I sometimes use PayPal to buy gift cards when I know I’m going to make a purchase at a certain site so that I can earn the Gyft points and then get a discount on my next gift card. I’ve only had one issue with the site and the live chat rep was very helpful. For those having issues, sorry to hear it but hope you give Gyft another try 🙂

  39. Glory

I just got my email validation.

  40. laurie

Worked great for me! Thanks!! 1st time user to the site, got the $5 off $15 as well, used Facebook to set up my new acct. $40 of Amazon cards for $30.

  41. Kirsten

Worked for me too! Got $40 of Amazon for $30 and successfully added it to my account with no problem. The verification email didn’t ever show up but, once I downloaded the Gyft app, I was able to verify.

    • Veronica

How did you get $40 for $30?

      • kim

Its $5 off $25 and $5 off $15. You have to make 2 purchases

        • Veronica

          Thanks!

  42. Ann

    Worked fine for me

  43. susan

I signed up but haven’t gotten any validation message to my email!

  44. Angela

I was a little gun-shy but glad I went for it, bc everything went fine. Signed up for a new acct, verified email (received email from them within seconds), got the $25 and then received the code for the additional $5/$15 so bought that too. Added both to Amazon right away with no issues. Thanks!

    • syeo2013

How do you print the gift card (rather than on your phone)?

  45. TW

New user, received the $5 Gyft card and used it towards a $15 Amazon gift card. I was also able to get a $25 iTunes gift card for $20 with a promo code ITUNESGC (may be expired now). And then used the FDFAMILY code to get a $25 Amazon gift card. So $65 worth in gift cards for $50 OOP…which is about 23% savings. I try to aim for at least 20% savings when purchasing gift cards, so this was awesome! 🙂 Every little bit helps. Thanks so much Collin!

PS-I never received that verification email, but once I linked my FB profile to the Gyft account, my email showed up as “Verified.” Luckily the FB account I use is my couponing one, so there isn’t very much info on there. Hope this info helps some of you waiting on the email! 🙂

  46. Heather C

When all else fails…. I get the hubs to do it for me 😏. Yay! Already know I’m spending my CVS gift card on high quality probiotics.

  47. Brenda F-C

I received my gift codes and saved 10.00 too, with no hassles!

  48. jamie

i was going through PayPal then changed my mind and wanted to use my credit card. I closed the PayPal option and the code disappeared from my order. When I entered it again it said I already used it! Big bummer!!!!

  49. Tara H

Worked great for me. $40 for $30 (2 transactions) and signed in with Facebook, payed with PayPal. No problems, THANKS!!!

    • eva

worked for me – this an awesome start for next years Christmas stash

  50. Sarah

Two questions…does anyone know if Gyft has a referral program? I couldn’t find it…and is Amazon offering any specials on other retailers gift cards? If so this would make for an even better deal!
