I’m buying this for my dog! he likes to lay beside our real wood burning stove, but it gets too hot. And I’m always afraid he’ll get too close to it an get burned. So we put a gate around it. This should be perfect for him to relax beside of in his ‘old man’ sweaters:)

Does anyone know how much electricity this uses?

Multiply the watts x 24 hours, then divide by 1000 for kilowatts. Multiply that number by your price per kilowatt hour which will equal your daily cost. Then multiply the number of days in the month to get your monthly total.

Wow Sara, thank you! I am not interested in this heater but am jotting down your formula for future electric purchases.

Running this on high (1500 watts) for 24 hours a day would cost me $83.16 per month. My kwh is less than the national average of .10 per kwh ( about $108 per month. )
Cut that cost in half if you run the heater on low all day.

Shop Rite also has a similar one for the same price.

I personally don’t like these heaters. I bought several during the 2013 Black Friday. I took them all back. They don’t really put out that much heat and are quite pricey. These are more for looks than warmth in my opinion. And they take up a bunch of space. I recommend these 1500W Lasko Heaters at Walmart. They have 2 fan speeds and are great for supplemental heat or for small-medium rooms. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lasko-754200-Ceramic-Portable-Electric-Space-Heater/16503225
