I use to be able to use these “available at Walmart” coupons at Walgreens with no problems. Now an employee and manager both told me they are no longer accepting them. They stated they changed coupon processing companies and they are no longer being reimbursed for them. I explained it clearly states manufacturer coupon and they said just because it goes through doesn’t make it right to use it. She started talking about other types of coupon fraud and I assured them I wasn’t trying to fraud them it was a legit coupon I was using on the right product I was just unaware they could no longer take the coupons. Is anyone else having problems with these at Walgreens?
Yep, same here. I even called CS and they told me the same thing as you, that they aren’t reimbursed. I think that is a bunch of hooey, it has a remit address, the coupon is just suggesting that I purchase at WM, not that its the ONLY place I can use the coupon.
The rep said if it has another store’s name or logo, that is considered a “competitor” coupon and Waglreens doesn’t accept competitor coupons. I said a manuf coupon is not a competitor coupon; a competitor coupon is like a coupon that prints out at CVS from their coupon center, I can’t use that anywhere else but CVS. Or a coupon from the Walgreens monthly booklet, I can’t use that at CVS or Target b/c its a Walgreens Store coupon. Like talking to a brick wall. They have really turned me off as a shopper. It used to be WM was dead last on my list of places to shop, now its Walgreens!
