I was going to say that too. We made really nice garden boxes using cedar fence boards and 1 x 2 ‘s. Super easy and cheap. Three years later and still good!

This one at Home Depot is 7 inches deep, the one at ace is 5 inches.
You have to be careful if you are going to make them and use them to grow vegetables. Most Fence posts are chemically treated and the chemicals get in the soil and in your vegetables. I made one with the correct wood and it cost over $100! This is a good deal!
Fence posts are treated, but my boards were not.

Cedar doesn’t nrred to be treated because it naturally resists decay and wards off bugs. I lived in a cedar sided house for years as a kid and our pets never had fleas, and there was never so much as an ant in that place!
Thank you!!! Wanted to do a garden this year, but pre made boxes are so expensive and I’m not particularly handy – this will be great! Ordered 2 boxes, one of the reviews noted you can put them together and do a 4 x 12 with 2 kits.
