Awesome, thx! Short rant, one of my local Targets consistently doesn’t have signage up – it IS on sale, but if I didn’t read your and the Totally Target blogs AND take items to the scanner and/or Service Desk – I’d never know these things were on sale! So thank you! Off the entire 2l Liter soda aisle yesterday, there was only 1 single sign for some very random, not-big name brand indicating ANY sale at all on 2 Liters. Annoyed beyond words. This is a weekly thing there.

Talk to management about your experience. If they continue with this weekly, turn them into Weights and Measures. They will get fined if a certain percentage of items scan differently than marked. OR just know that by them not marking items, you have a better chance getting some of the great deals posted on Hip2Save 😀

Good point. It is just obnoxious from both a consumer AND business management perspective. Why would you NOT want to sell more, for the most part these are circumstances (such as with the soda here) it is going to ring up 1.25 regardless…you’d sell more if the consumer actually KNEW that ahead of time. The gift card offer, I can see why that store doesn’t put up the signs bc it is downtown and people are going to run in and buy 1 personal care item, for example, regardless… maybe in aggregate that works better for their bottom line than incentivizing the buy 2, 3, or 4 etc get a Target gift card offers… who knows. I just go to the scanner and see what the price is in the system.

Be glad they don’t mark items as on sale. Our Target posts the sale prices, but puts out very few of each item. On Sat night—ten minutes or so before they close, you can find the employees pulling the sale signs and restocking the shelves (and according to several employees they stock room has had them for several days.) We either shop just before close and wait at the isles for the item(s) we want.

Will this coupon work on Dr Pepper as well? Because there’s a $1.25 Ibotta rebate on 3.

    • B

It probably depends on who bottles dr pepper in your area. When I lived in Hawaii dr pepper was bottled by Coke, so if there was a Coke promo running we could get Dr Pepper too & we were able to use the free 12 pack coupons from Mycokerewards on Dr pepper too. Now that were in VA it doesn’t appear that it’s bottled by Coke, so dr pepper is excluded from the Coke promos in my area. Hth!

    • mel

No, it won’t. Dr Pepper is actually part of the Snapple Group. Coke or Pepsi only bottles the product depending on who has the contract reginally. That’s why it will be on sale with either Coke or Pepsi. But it’s not one of Coke’s (or Pepsi’s) family of brands.

arrgh another coupon not usable in my area 🙁

    • xirian

I don’t see any location restrictions. The “redeemable at kroger” part is just an ad, it is a manufacturer’s coupon. If it says redeemable it means its possible to redeem there. If it says redeem at it means you can only use the coupon at that one store.

Target has a good deal on Come this week

  5. Carla

I’ve never seen a coupon for Coke on coupons.com! Wish this was available when Commissary had their case lot sale this weekend!

  6. Laura

One thing I hate about targets 5/$5 sale is that you have to buy 5 to get the sale price. I’ll wait until Meijer has a sale.

    • brandice

No u don’t…I buy one all the time for $1

      • Laura

For some reason at my target, if I buy less than the advertised sale (5/$5) I get charged the regular price 🙁

        • mel

My ad says Buy More Save More, 5 For $5 OR $1.25 each. Usually when it’s like that, in order to get the $1 sale price I’d have to buy 5, otherwise they ring $1.25. But after the 5, they’ll still ring up $1.

          • Laura

That’s what I was saying before. But for some reason, Brandice can buy 1 and still get it for $1. Oh well
