Honestly i prefer being subscribed to Ipsy..its $10 and we regularly get to try highend and drugstore products…last month i got the IT cosmetics BB cream in travel size.This month its either the smashbox primer or the two faced melted lipstick…total value for money.
You tend to get full size items in the target box though. Too many little things & travel sizes in Ipsy/Birchbox in my opinion. But they’re all fun nonetheless!
For Ipsy/Birchbox…do they also send hair care products? If so, what’s the ratio? 1 out of 4? 2 out of 4? I don’t like certain hair care products (mainly ingredients.)
@78Brownie…it depends how u answer their quiz..i dont have birchbox but ipsy…i have rarely got any hair products…u can customize ur bags to a certain extent. you can chk out mysubscriptionaddiction(dot) com for every month of ipsy bag that she has recieved.

Ok, did u guys catch the “pink tax” story on Today show? Women’s box $7, men’s $5. Women’s items cost more just because!!! Target sold double packs of deodorant to women for $8, men’s version was $5 I think. All I can say is, whatevs retailers…couponing takes all that nonsense out of the equation for me.

I saw it as well. It must be working for retailers/manufactures to sell women’s products at a higher cost. Very frustrating.
I usually end up using men’s shaving cream/ gel for this reason. We also use dollar shave club because 1) razors are $$$ and 2) they up charge for women’s! Dollar shave uses the same for both men and women.

When I saw this post I thought I would have to pass it up since I am trying to save some extra pennies but I just remembered I have a target gift card from an earlier target post! I was just going to comment the same thing! They used to be free and came in really adorable travel pouches. I have several! Can’t say I was ever blown away by the products (most were things I don’t regularly use or the color of the cosmetics weren’t what I like), but the bags were so adorable!
I seem to miss this every time. Snatched up the men’s box though.
