   I bought this about 2 years ago. I can vouch for this one. The best buy ever. Never breaks down, no paper jams. The cartridge lasts for a real long time.

  For 4 years I’ve been buying authentic high yield Brother TN-450 toner from Amazon $47. Pricier than “compatible” toners yes, but they do last a long time and they don’t leak. I print a lot from 4 pcs. I have my printer on “toner save” mode and coupon prints out nice and clear. Also for all Brother laser owners, if your “toner low” warning comes up, it might just be a warning. You can press the “go” button 7 times to by pass the alert and continue to print till toner is really gone. Read the very first Amazon review titled “Toner low?    Just wanted to share. I’ve been shopping around for a new printer as well. Here are a couple of the deals I found. The Samsung M2020W, which is also a monochrome laser printer and it’s one of Cnet’s Best Printers for 2015, is at $47 on Amazon. The Canon MG6620, an all-in-one inkjet printer, is at $59.99 at Best Buy’s Father’s Day Sale. It’s going for the same price on Amazon. There are a couple of new HP printers on sale on Amazon like the Envy 4500 also at $59.99 and the Envy 5660 at $74.99. Epson has the XP-610 at $59.99 with a few other models priced below $100 at their Clearance Center online. HTH!

   I’d say go for Samsung M2830DW Xpress Mono Laser at Staples for $59.99. The M2020W is also the same price but M2830DW is a newer and better model in overall comparison.

   This looks a lot like the one I have HL 2230 that I got from Amazon for around $70. Worth every penny. I spend around $18 on a cartridge that lasts for at least 6 months (printing mostly coupons). The last cartridge I bought was in aug 2014 and it still shows that I have 50% toner, but it’s getting a bit blury on the left side so I think I might need a new one. I also replaced the drum for about $20 (you will only do that every few years or so).

  Roxy I have had this printer for probably for maybe 6 year I think and the drum is going bad… Light is on. Where did you get a drum for 20.00??
