Are you required to have ur credit card information stored or are there any monthly fees?

    • VC

No fees. No credit card info storing required πŸ™‚

    • VC

Btw, my code is VCATO, if you wanna sign up πŸ™‚

      • Natalie

Initially I had my credit card stored but not I don’t see the option to do so. I find it convenient to store the card for a faster check out. The reason I prefer to store is that one time the giftcard was sold to someone else by the time I enter all the info. Another tip – buy one gift card at the time, because sometimes by the time you are done selecting them (especially for different stores) the cards could disappear. https://geta.raise.com/nnn

      Yay! You are so welcome!

Can u use these cards to buy other gift cards from the store? Meaning can I buy the $100 amc card on raise.com for $69 and then buy (4) $25 cards from amc with it? Would make for some cheap birthday/christmas/teacher gift.

    • Rachel

I was wondering the same thing!! Christmas gifts made easy! I don’t see why not. Anyone try this before?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Michelle! Policies vary by store BUT I did find this info specifically for AMC Gift Cards: https://www.amctheatres.com/gift-card-terms The terms state that you cannot use gift cards to purchase gift cards. Darn!

    • Natalie

Sometimes you can buy discounted ebay cards and used them to purchase other gift cards. Also, I think that costco let’s you use their gift card for purchase of other cards. Does any one knows if you could use target gift card to buy itunes card in the store? My link is https://geta.raise.com/nnn. Thanks!

      • Gjbim

Not sure about in-store but definitely online. I used Target GC to purchase Starbucks e-GC with a breeze. Got my e-GC within minutes.

  5. Julie

I don’t see where you put in the referral code

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If you click on the links in the post above, the referral code will automatically be populated with hsave (which is Hip2Save’s referral code).

      • Julie

        Duh. Found it. Thanks.

  6. Iris

Is Raise.com legitimate? I’ve never bought gc from their site. These deals are too good to not give it a try, esp the Whole Foods one πŸ™‚

    • Natalie

Hi Iris, I have been using this site since March, when Colin posted about it. I had great success buying Macys and Kohls cards which you can use both in store and online. I had a problem using Kohls card only once, and after I contacted raise they refunded my money. Recently I bought cvs cards which are valid in store only and It took about 4 days to receive them- had no problem with them either. The site says they have 100 days protection in case of a problem. Hope this helps. My referral link is https://geta.raise.com/nnn. Thanks!

    • Kristin

I almost purchased a card but decided against it due to pretty sketchy reviews I found online. I figured it wasn’t worth the hassle if there was an issue. Bummer because this would be a great money saving purchase!

      • Natalie

I only had one problem with raise, and they refund my money within 3 days. But the real problem if you buy something and change your mind later, returning it to the store – you get a gift card. https://geta.raise.com/nnn. One remark though, I had to send raise a copy of my drivers license because they couldn’t verify my identity through their channels. I thought that was weird, but l been using them for over 6 month now, and I only have good things to say about them.

  7. brandice

Anyone else dislike egifycatds..easily to get missing or torn up…grrr

    • Natalie

Frankly, I buy the e-cards only when I’m ready to place the order. Usually Raise fulfills the order instantly (or up to 20min); but one time I had to wait 2 hours. Then I place my order and don’t forget to use the card. Hope this helps! https://geta.raise.com/nnn. Thanks!

  8. Amani

I just received a Raise $250 gift card from The Talk on Monday! This AMCgiftcard will be my first purchase. Thanks Collin!

Says I cannot sign up at this time, not sure why?

  10. michellini

thanks..I shop a lot at Whole Foods, I got the 71.00 for 55.00

    • Iris

That is awesome! How do you pay for purchases at WF using an egc? Thanks

  11. Carolin

It is amazing me to me how many people do not take advantage of these gift card deals. Long story short last Christmas I saved over 75% for presents for some family members because of these awesome gift card deals and instore coupons. I guess the presents were nicer than what was expected because I was asked how I was able to get the presents. I told them about buying discounted gift cards. They told me that they don’t have the time to do that.
Something else I like about the gift cards is that for me it helps me budget my money even better. My felines can only eat one certain type of cat food that is sold at Petsmart and Petco. I rarely see coupons for their food, but thanks to raise.com I was able to get a $57 card for $43.

    • Natalie

I agree,I don’t think that it takes too long to use raise and save money. I constantly check the website for updates. https://geta.raise.com/nnn

    • Leighann

I’ve had trouble convincing my husband that discounted gift cards are a good idea. All he sees is a gift card being purchased, and doesn’t seem to get that even a 2% discount saves a little bit of money. I’ve told him I wanted to get discounted Wal Mart gift cards to pay for Christmas, and get about a $50 card per week, but every week so far he’s had an excuse not to. He makes the money and has the only access to the checking account/bank card, so if he says no, it’s a no go. Which, really, I don’t get, because he is into every other thing I do to save money, from coupons to apps. smh

      • Lynette

Dearest Leighann, I will be praying for you. Please do kindly suggest to your husband that he grant you access to checking account and bank card, at the very least for emergency purposes. Tell him an estate planning professional advised you. Last thing I want to heat is that a client does not have access to financial resources if the breadwinner is injured. He should also get a life insurance and disability policy as a precaution. Blessings!

Can these be used for concession stand items? I can’t tell from the way they are worded. It says, “These gift cards can be redeemed in the theater only, and cannot be redeemed online, for tickets and concession stand items. “

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes Tina! It looks like you can buy your popcorn with these as well πŸ˜‰

  16. P

When does the $5 coupon code expire? And the $5 credit? I can’t find anything about it.

Be careful ladies I just purchased a card I understood -5.00 for signing up and -5.00 for promo code making 10.00 off correct well I purchased and it only discounted -5.00 and charged I emailed them and response was there’s a glitch .. Hmm but they didn’t fix so I cancelled purchase.

    • Evan

Did you make sure your purchase was at least $50? Only thing I can think of. The code Hip2Save50 only works for at least that amount.

    • Raise

    PROS
    – save some money when you know for sure how much you will spend and where
    – excellent customer service!!!
    – ease of use of the website
for example: can sort by card value or by % discount in ascending/descending order
    – user verification is done fast; again, this goes back in fact to excellent customer service – if the rep does a great job, your phone call will be very much painless
    – despite long wait time for customer support, the support provided was professional and within expectations; again, cannot rave enough about how good the reps are!
    CONS
    – inventory might not be available when you need it
    – love the β€œbuy bulk” feature available on cardpool site, raise does not seem to have it
    – β€˜moving sands’ type of inventory: especially when you need to spend a big amount, you need to refresh and monitor the content for a while, until you get what you need
    – user verification
Yes, user verification is both a PRO and CON, but I can see they need such a process.
    – lack of resources: had a call to make with support team and I was 19 online, waiting for a rep to help; it took 30 min to talk to someone
    – some promo codes are not processed in the final stage of submitting the order (but they are processed and showed with the right discount when entered in); this leads to potential loss of opportunities to buy desired cards; site can be improved in this regard! again, calling customer support can help on this!

Overall, an excellent experience with a site that aims to gain traction.
    VERY HAPPY with raise.com

    hip2save50 promo code doesn’t work

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmm, that’s strange, I just entered it and it worked. Were you by chance using a mobile device?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Stephanie! When you go to checkout, there is a spot on the right where it says to enter promo code. Click on the promo code words and a box will pop up for you to enter it πŸ™‚
