Regular price but they are going to be preorder only for probably at least a few more months. Unless you can pick up in store but no one near me has it in stock that I’ve found.
Best buy had them in stock if you don’t want to wait for a few more weeks. We picked one up tonight.
I ordered 6 of these on their special buy 5 get 1 free and when I opened mine the screen immediately went white. It kept flashing white and I couldn’t see the screen. Pretty bummed I returned all 6. I didn’t want to give the other 5 as gifts and risk the same thing happening. Hope everyone else has better luck if they order them!!

I preordered mine from Staples via a bundle pack. $79.99 gets you the tablet, a case, and an SD card. So far I love my fire!!
This is the regular price, I ordered last time to “lock in the price” only to find it will always be that price. Still yes a good price and if you want it for Christmas may be good to order soon.
I ordered the Buy 5 get 1 free and so far no problems with any and very good quality for kids.
It says “includes special offers”…but I couldn’t see what they were…did anyone see what they were?
The special offers one has a screen saver that shows every time you turn it on or bring your screen back from inactivity. That has offers like books or games you might enjoy from the app store. For another $15 you can turn that feature off. It isn’t too annoying, you can swipe it away and get to your homepage very quickly.
Special offers is Amazon’s phrasing that means they put ads on the screensaver screen when it goes to sleep. They used to have some really good deals–limited time sale only available to people with a special
Offers Fire, but there hasn’t been anything good in like a year.
My Mom is thinking about doing the buy 5 get one free, but one of them is for my toddler. Can anyone tell me if the kid one is worth the extra money? Or will a regular one with a case be about the same?
I bought the kids kindle last year for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. It came with a tough kids case, a free year of Amazon Free-Time and a 2 year warranty for $75! A great deal for everything you get. The Free-time app has been great for her and I will probable continue to suscribe to it even when our free year is up.
