Nope. I’m at $135 and counting and have had no issues. It’s a great app.
Same here. Over $100. Never had a problem. In fact. The opposite. One time I sent in a receipt twice. But quickly wrote to them. They praised me for my honesty and let me keep the payout. Very nice people.

Exactly what happened to me. I read that its their way of getting people to buy the products they promote. I’m not falling for their tactics anymore. What a waste of my time and effort!!
I’ve redeemed hundreds of dollars and this app has always worked great for me. I’ve even made some mistakes submitting receipts and their customer service is incredible.

Love Ibotta. Have cashed out close to $400 over the past 3 years I’ve had their app. Only had 1 issue, they sent me a “warning email”, to which I emailed them it was my mistake (submitted a receipt past the 7 days, I wasn’t paying attention to the date and was off by 1) and they promptly emailed me back thanking me for being upfront.
I love them!!! I’m already at $175 and still earning. My guess as to why people gets kicked out is they redeem the same receipt over and over or two people claimed a rebate using the same receipt. That is cheating and if I’m not mistaken that is one of the (fine print) reasons that they can kick you out of the program/deactivate your account.
That really would not be the reason. I have already redeemed over $550 in 2 1/2 years. I’m sure they were deactivated for other reasons like duplicate receipts or something like that.
I’ve had Ibotta since it started and literally cashed out hundreds of dollars. I have never, ever had that problem, and their customer service has been nothing but great. This is why I refrain from commenting on things I don’t have first hand experience with. If we believed everything we read on their internet we would be wrong about a lot of stuff. No need to perpetuate rumors if you haven’t experienced it firsthand.
My total earnings right now is $193 and Im still with them. As far as I know they kick out people who redeems old receipt.
I’ve redeemed and already cashed out more than $170 since I started with them in July. I’ve had a few issues with things not wanting to scan or not in the database that are supposed to be there, but that’s not that big a deal since it’s only about $2 worth that didn’t go through.
Those reviews are a select few, who don’t realize they broke the terms agreed to..some don’t know how to contact support directly, so they use the Internet.
Support has been helpful and I’ve been a member for years.

yes. I had to update the app, was not able to sign back in. lost all my rebates. I read that it happens to a lot of people and not just me so I deleted the app from my phone. waste of my time.
I joined in September of 2014. I have earned $435 in rebates…never had an issue. I usually cash out every $100.
I typically combine ibotta rebates with paper coupons to pay very little to nothing on every day items. In December they had amazing bonuses!!!
I used Ibotta years ago, was saving money for Christmas gifts. They deactivated my account, their customer service is horrible (unable to contact through phone, Emails ONLY) Their excuse was “I submitted my receipt twice” I emailed them with my 2 different receipts as proof of purchase and never heard back from them. I uninstalled their app the next day… lesson learned. There is no such thing as FREE in this world.

I love the app, too! Never had a problem with it. Customer service is great if you have a question. I have earned 540 + in the 3 years I have used it. Ibotta is awesome!! I’ve saved over $600 during the past 2 years. They have a lot of any brand rebates. There have been times it has had issues. But they fix it with upgrades. And having a newer phone helps. Save your receipt for a couple days until it shows up on your account.

I have this same question. A bunch if us are on it and want to join forces but appears we cannot. I emailed customer Service and they said we cannot be a team after the fact (after already downloading the app). I wish they would adjust this. It would be nice to join up with friends and use it all together 🙁 if anyone had other advice or experience with this I am all ears!

There will be negatives with everything. However, overall the majority of people who use this app correctly have great success. I’ve never had an issue in 2 years.

This is my favorite cash back ap. It has the best offers on everyday items, the fastest responses when you submit a receipt, and collecting your cash earned is instant. If you use Sam’s Club it also has higher value rebate offers for warehouse club purchases on many items.

Ibotta is by far one of the best apps out there! Lightning fast on approving receipts…sometimes as fast as 30 seconds! As with anything else, read the rules and FOLLOW them! I would say most if not all of the deactivations were because of greedy people not following rules.
I get so irritated by these programs/companies that reward new participants/customers as a sign-on/up incentive but tell the currently enrolled consumers how little there long term commitment really means…….loyal should equal/mean that $10 too
Ibotta offers bonuses throughout the month as well as surprise weekend bonuses thrown in here & there to their users, that they really don’t have to do.
Except for the older, more frequent users to receive the same bonuses as the newer or non-frequent users, they must submit 25 rebates in a short time, while the newer users only have to submit 5.

Uhhh speaking about Ibotta. Just got back from grocery shopping. Only needed .20 to cash out so I bought some green peppers… Took a picture of my receipt. Upon looking at it , the cashier charged me for RED peppers instead of green. Soo bummed right now.

After reading the comments and as of yesterday not being able to open my ibotta app suddenly I went on the better business bureau website and there are complaints of people being kicked off the account without being able to redeem the money they had previously earned. The main issue is that the same receipt was submitted twice which is on the ibotta terms and conditions as fraud. I understand that, however if it happens once it could be an honest mistake. However, my situation I did not resubmit any receipt twice, I know this for a fact. I couldn’t if i wanted to the offers disappear after i redeem them however after two years on ibotta i finally got to the 100 dollar mark, lucky for me i cashed out. I submitted one receipt one time in over a month. I really liked my ibotta, im so sad.

I am surprised to read comments because I am using Ibotta app from last two years and I have earned a lot. Never have anyyyyy issue. Just keep in mind:
1. Submit one receipt only in one account for one rebate not the other account.
2. You can submit one receipt twice for different rebates if they appears later or you forgot to submit at that time, within 7 days.
3. If you submit the same receipt in second Ibotta account for different rebate which is not submitted in first account, You still will face issues.
So keep these points in mind and you will never face any issue with Ibotta. This ia great app for making money.

Can anyone help, I’m new to ibotta. I’m trying to add or collect at Hannafords and it asks me to link myhannaford number. I don’t have such a thing. They don’t issue any kind of discount card.
