I was looking at my surprise points and found I had points for specific items at Kmart. For example, 8000 points on a 100 oz bottle of tide. These are priced at $11.99 so only 3.99 after points! I had 4000 points on specific razors, which would make them $3.99 after points, and 3000 points on Olay body wash, making it only $2.49. Thought these were some pretty sweet prices for household essentials! Wouldn’t hurt for people to check their accounts!

Wow they keep on giving me free surprise points this year! Last week I was able to score a holiday shirt, pjs and sippy cups for my 1 1/2 year old at Kmart. The other day I scored a nice toaster for $8, and got a men’s sweater, 2 packs Minnie socks, and a hand soap for .97 at Sears…. And now I have another $13 for clothes for sears in my account! Sweet! I got an e-mail saying i had the $11 of $11 but when i go to my account o onky had a $10 off $10 and it says it expires 11/25/15. Weird

Even if u do have points there are so many restrictions and when i was there thursday night and friday and the systems kept crashing and i couldnt even use my syw.. So dont be excited when u get to store and think ur gonna save if systems keep crashing

I freakin love SYW! They keep sending me free surprise points and so far I’ve been able to do “Be a Santa for a senior” for 3 people for less than $10. I’ll be able to pick up another at this rate! 🙂

How do you get these to come off online for Kmart? I tried unsuccessfully for two hours the other day when I had $12 off $12 women’s clothing and tried purchasing shirt for $12.49. Also tried in store on yoga pants and didn’t work either. So frustrating.

I still don’t understand Shop your Way points. I really need to read something from beginning to end about “understanding Shop your way”. Somehow last week I got a free 6 ft tree delivered. I seriously don’t know how I had enough points. Right now, i have 2500 surprise points in my account but then I pull up my account history and I have earned 5000 points from sweepstakes that I have earned in the last two days from sweepstakes. Those have not been added to the surprise points balance. Looks like I have let a lot of points expire that I didn’t even know that I had earned. Can anyone point me to a place to read all about understanding earning and spending shop your way points. Thanks!

I always get points but sometimes it’s hard redeeming them because when I get to the register sometimes the points don’t show up or there is some other issue. I try my best to be patient but it can get frustrating at times when I’m waiting with two small children for over 20 min for them to figure out the problem. I love getting the free points though.
I often have issues in store. So my new motto…when in doubt…buy online and pickup in store. This way I know the points will be applied as I wish.
I know picking up in store is not a viable option for all…but just how I got the points to work in my favor.

Its the opposite for me. My points usually work fine in the store, but I have a dickens of a time getting them to work online!

How I use these I have had many expire because everything I add to my cart I guess don’t qualify however I try to read restrictions and add what I think qualify to cart and I can’t ever seem to get the right stuff ? Any advice it says I have $11 off $11 add a shirt to cart didnt’ come off ?
Add qualifying items in the cart, then click checkout. Then top of the screen it will show you have $11 in points to use on this order. Then click proceed to checkout. Their it will show apply points on this order, click on that and it will show how much you have to pay. Example: I added to items $6 each so on the final checkout step I will pay $1+applicable tax after surprise points.HTH
If you’re shopping online, sometimes you need to try to check out all the way to the last page where you need to redeem your points. This is base on my experience. I happen to get a lot of surprised points and every week I pick up my order/s at the store. Usually my points don’t show up (even my member points) not until the last page where I redeem or put my CC info in. hth
Most times you have to get to almost the last step in the checkout process for it to come off. It usually doesn’t show up for me in the cart but when I proceed it lets me at the second last step. HTH!

I did. Called customer support and they straightened it out–turns out there were two accounts linked to my email address.
Last week me and my husband BOTH got $25/$25 clothing purchase at sears. Then we both got $10/$10 Kmart clothing purchase for kids. So a combined $70 in free clothes. I got $10 off 10 in surprise points but when I click the “shop now” button to shop items for which I can redeem points, it comes up with confusing results. For instance, the item says $9.99 and when I click on it, the item says $24.99 or $14.99 after points. Also, it looks like they’re confusing the points I earned which expire at the end of December with the free surprise points that expire on the 2nd. I wish I knew how to use this bizarre SYWR site. Nothing makes sense on here.
Surprise points are like weekly coupon which generally expire within 5-7 days.
