How does Apple tv work? Does it have american channels only or is it all channels around the world? And what about movies just american or also all languages and cultures? Any reviews?
It’s what ever the apps have available for languages. So Netflix has some movies available for different languages. There is Hulu and many many more. You have to set up your language preference overall.
I absolutely love my Apple TV. We have 4 of them in our home. I stream from my phone or computer or just browse the apps

I got the target by my house in California to price match it no problem! They asked a manager & she allowed them to do an override! I paid $103 out the door thanks to my extra 5% off with my RedCard! 🙂
I bought the Apple TV a year ago mainly because I have a kids video in an app form and I wanted to cast that on the tv screen the way you can with YouTube and a chromecast but I’ve been unable to. So annoyed because I thought you could cast any apple Product on a tv with the Apple TV. If it’s just for casting then if much rather prefer a chromecast
You should be able to, I haven’t had problems with connecting my iPhone, iPad, or iMac. You may want to call customer service and have them walk you through it.
Same here. We have 2 Apple TV 4s and 1 Apple TV 3. I can stream (airplay) from all Apple products to all of our TVs.
Just a thought Pharmchick – are you “mirroring” your app as you are “airplaying”? If you don’t mirror, it won’t work
Yes you have to mirror, airplay and also (and this is a big one which I didn’t realize in the beginning) your ipad and apple tv have to be on the same wifi network. My ipad was on a general optimum wifi hot spot while my apple tv was on my home network and for the life of me I couldn’t figure out why nothing was showing up, as per the directions. I googled some apple chat rooms and realized my error.

How does apple tv work
You connect it to your tv and your wifi and you can mirror what you see on your ipad to your tv. I watch a lot of British shows (The Fall) or Argentina soccer matches through the you tube app already loaded to the apple tv. If you have Showtime, HBO, you can search for on demand movies and shows. You can also watch ITunes movies you rent or buy straight through the system. It is very easy to use and actually I discovered one of my new favorite channels right through the apps on the box, which I don’t have on my tv, FYI. That is the name of the channel, FYI. Tiny House Hunting, Married at first Sight and Unplugged Nations have become some of my favorite new shows.

Price Matched at Best Buy (located 2 miles down the road from my house) early this morning in San Antonio. Great experience, the longest wait was for them to find someone who had a key to the case behind the counter. Salesman was nice, he just checked Radio Shack online using his own cell phone (I also printed the deal from the Radio Shack online website also, it is right on their home page. Manager had to okay the PM but was friendly and no questions asked. I don’t have a Discover Card so couldn’t get the further discount of 20% using Apple Pay. Oh well, will get an extra 2% with my rewards Visa though. Was torn between the older or newer version of Apple TV, but I had just decided last night that I was going to get the older version for Christmas because the price difference wasn’t worth it to me. My wife spotted this deal this morning and my mind was easily changed. Now to wait patiently until Christmas…. rules are rules… Christmas presents don’t get opened until Christmas, so it’s sitting with the other gifts waiting to get wrapped. 🙂
You’ll be happy with the newer Apple TV. I have both. The older one as a spare in the basement. I paid full price and still happy as I cut out cable and saving a ton of money

Thank you so much for posting this deal – what a great deal indeed! I was waiting to buy it at Target (after the 10% off gift card deal on Sunday) and then this appeared. I was able to get it at the local Radio Shack just a few miles from my house. I was surprised though that Target would not price match since the Radio Shack is across the street –
