Order early because they an take awhile for shipping! (And so excited I can use a $3 “rewards” credit they gave me that’s going to expire soon…perfect to combine with free shipping!).

Off topic, but does anyone else’s kids love to watch “surprise eggs”?? Omg my toddler will watch these videos for hours! This Easter her basket will be easy! lol

    • Aileen

Yes!! And that is why I am going to buy a bunch of different eggs! He loves those videos

    • Julie L

What are surprise eggs? Maybe we want to become obsessed too! 😆

      • Happymama

They are YouTube videos where people unwrap foil eggs with small toys or play doh inside. Sometimes they are chocolate eggs with toys inside…they must be popular based on the views. My toddler dreams about them because she wakes up talking about them, LOL. You can search on YouTube to check them out.

    • Jessica

Yes!!! Mine does! where the heck do you get them from?!?

      • jenna

My 2 year old is obsessed! I picked up a few kinder eggs at my local Italian market. Try specialty stores

      • Anne

“Kinder Surprise” or “Kinder Eggs” are an Italian product, but sold all over Europe Supposedly illegal in the USA because of the dangerous small parts. BUT they do sell them in Canada, and some import markets in the US. They are sold year-round, but especially fun at Easter. So ask someone who is traveling to pick some up for you.

        • Kelly

I found some when I was in Mexico last week. The kids loved them. They were chocolate eggs with a toy inside! So fun.

Yes, my 20 month old is obsessed with surprise eggs!

  4. Christine

Yes, my 23 month old is obsessed with the surprise eggs videos on YouTube also!! Anybody have any good ideas, deals or helpful tips for Easter baskets? I’m not the craftiest person lol need help creating the perfect basket for my toddler! Surprise Eggs are a must, but I’ve looked them up on Amazon, so expensive!

Fortunately or unfortunately, I got a crazy good deal (end of season clearance) on personalized Easter baskets for my boys a few years ago which I reuse every year. The downside is that they’re large so I struggle to make them look full without filling them with candy. Here’s my strategy – I usually try to build the baskets around a stuffed animal (takes up a lot of room – haha!). Some coloring/activity books, perhaps a story book, even pajamas also fill it up quickly! A fun toothbrush is also a nice addition. Go crazy at the dollar store with little knick-knacks in whatever characters/themes they like. A kit to make a small craft is fun as well. Once I’ve filled it with that sort of stuff, THEN I add candy/treats. 🙂

Usual price for Kinder Eggs should be about $1 or less. We usually only give one/holiday.. Assembling the toy is the fun part 🙂
And on Easter Basket supplies: think Springtime equivalent to stocking stuffers 🙂 It’s harder to find an Easter book, than a Christmas book, but worth it. This is a good time to give a Children’s Bible. One of our favorites is: “The Jesus Storybook Bible: Every Story Whispers His Name” by Sally Lloyd-Jones. (about $11 on Amazon) Also, don’t forget sidewalk chalk, bubbles, play-doh, stickers. OTC has some great Easter scene sticker pages.

If I order today, anyone know if I will get my older by March 6? (My daughters 2nd birthday party)

    • happy

I am wondering this as well, that’s my daughter’s bday too!!

    • Megann

My last order took about 3 weeks to arrive.

    • ljkla

My last order only took a week. I think when you check out, they will give you an estimated delivery date. They kept to that date…
