Wow great price! But, The difficult part with thermometers, with my child at least, is getting him to hold something in his mouth so I can take the temperature and getting him to hold it under his arm is just as difficult.

    • Heather C.

I agree! My kids hate having there temp taken under their arm!

      • Bonnie

This has a little bubble game to play while taking the temp.

  2. Erica

I bought mine through Swagbucks recently for $14.99. Plus I earned 1500 swagbucks so free after swagbucks! I dont know if the offer is still available.

    • Laura

My son & I did this deal through Swagbucks as well. Great deal!! And yes, it’s still going on

      • Just Me

Yeah! Thanks for letting me know it’s still going

    • laura

How do I find it on swagbucks?

    • Karen

I’ve looked everywhere including under swagbucks and I can’t find it. I see pictures, but when I click on anything referencing the thermometer, I’m getting “free lotto winner”, “porn site”, “survey sites”, and so forth, and I have pop up blocker on. Can someone please enlighten me as to where I can go directly to order this thermometer, I’ve been searching for a week now on 3 different computers and different isp’s. Someone please help, I’d be most appreciative. Thank you so much, desparate mom

      • GA

It’s under popular offers or you can search Kinsa and it will come right up.

        • Karen

Thank you, I’ve been trying, I’m getting all different sites except the one for the Kinsa Thermometer. Is it at the kinsa site itself or an actual online store? i’m getting crazy web pages when I click the link through here?

          • Laura

Yes an actual store. If you’re on swagbucks, search Kinsa in their search window – the 1500 SB offer is still there

  3. Bonnie

We just bought this, and have been using it with sick kiddos this week. I love it! I like that it tells you the temperature, then gives you the information of what you should do – increase fluids and encourage rest, give acetaminophen or ibuprofen, etc. It also keeps track of when the temperatures were taken and what they were. The only con I’ve noticed so far – last night it told us to take our 16 month old to the doctor with a temp of 102.7. I called the doctor’s office and they said bring him in at 105 or higher than 102 for 3 days or (something else I don’t remember), so the info given on the app was not exactly correct.

    • quira628

Thanks Bonie I will purchase it now!!!! Thanks for the review!

    • quira628

      Sorry *Bonnie*

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for such helpful feedback Bonnie!

    • Ashley

Thanks for the tip! I signed up for Swagbucks AND bought the Kinsa thermometer!

  4. liji

Btw how long does it take to record the temp?

    • Laura

less than 30 seconds. And this kiddos can pop bubbles that appear on your phone to preoccupy them in the meantime

    • mommyto2

I don’t know the exact length of time but it’s very quick. And it had little bubbles that your child can pop on the screen to make it more entertaining for them. Id able to get my 17 month old temp last night probably in less than 10 seconds.

    • Sam

Too long, especially if they have fever. I dont recommend it for babies. My 8 month old hates it and wont be still long enough for me to take an auxillary temp. It also gets too warm and tells you to wait 5 secs then retry, but when you retry, it still is too warm.

      • nin

Yup-agree. With younger kiddos we love the forehead thermometer, Exergen I think. Waay fast and they let you do it.

  5. Colleen

We just bought this through Swagbucks and got the 1500 points in return. I have to say it is an awesome thermometer. Obviously it is not a replacement for a medical doctor, but I like that it asks questions and has a little game to entertain the kids while it is taking the temp!

  6. Theresa

this would be good for a college student

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great idea!

  7. SherryCC

Anyone used it with a newborn? Is it good?

  8. GA

Still available for free through swagbucks! Love this thermometer!

    • Klgnatek

Can you tell me how I can get this deal as well?

      • GA

It’s under popular offers or you can search kinsa and it will come right up

  9. Mitch

I got one a while back and got the 3 x $5 Starbucks -swag bucks deal. Great deal and a good thermometer. Kids like popping the bubbles like they get to play a game on daddies phone…

  10. Klgnatek

    What is the swagbucks deal???

  11. Amy

Does anyone know if this is the newest model or have a model number for the one you bought?
    Thanks

    • Just Me

I believe this is the older model

    • Laura

  13. Bree

I got mine at cvs on clearance for around 6$!

  14. heidi

On Inbox Dollars, they have an offer for $8.00 back when you go through the link in your account. Search Kinsa in the offers. Same price and directs you to the Kinsa site.

  15. Stacie

Does anyone know if it can take a basal temperature?

    • GA

It’s not recommended for this but people have used it. I’ve noticed it’s not very accurate for this though.

      • Stacie

        Thanks! You are right!
I also emailed the company and they gave this quick reply:
Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, our thermometer was not designed with basal tracking in mind. However, many users keep track of their basal temperatures and ovulation symptoms using our app, even without a Kinsa thermometer. We’ll be sure to make an announcement when we do launch a basal thermometer, and we would love to help you keep your family healthy with our current thermometer.

  16. chrissy

I just bought this. THANK YOU. I did read that there’s other offers but I’m a home daycare provider and need this like yesterday! I have all of the others like the battery ones don’t ask me about the $100 ear one from years ago that never worked and freaked them out or hurt! I’ll happily use this if my battery ones not working or i don’t trust my old school one from when i was a child. .lol

  21. Marcy

On swag bucks I see a deal for 560 sb on trail pay. Is there another deal I am missing?

    • GA

      • marcy

Thanks! I am on the desktop now but still cant find the search box for the offers.

        • marcy

I figured it out! Great deal! Got my swag bucks right away!
