Do these things really work??? Help!!!!

They work but, it’s often very hard to use. You have to use it exactly as the instructions say. If you can get one with an upper band cuff most people can use it very easily at home. That’s just my opinion other’s may find that it’s the opposite. 🙂 good luck finding one that works fpr your needs.

FYI wrist bp monitors aren’t as accurate as the arm ones. They might be ok for just run of the mill checking but if you have high bp or would like a more accurate reading I would advise you to get a arm monitor.

I have hypertension & take blood pressure medication. My cardiologist actually recommended this monitor because I have a very large upper arm so even with an extra large cuff, I wasn’t able to use an over the counter monitor. This wrist monitor works very well and is within a couple of points of the arm cuff used at my doctor’s office, so it’s plenty accurate for me. It’s quiet, easy to use, very portable.

You want to get a bp app cuff closest to your pumping mechanism, the heart, but like GInger who commented above, if the cuff doesn’t work for you, then you can take cuffs for other sites.
