Did you know that 1 in 5 families have children that experience night terrors?

If you too have a child waking up crying and upset on a regular basis, this post is for you! Designed by a physician and father, the Sleep Guardian is a scientifically proven and non-medication solution that stops night terrors.

How does the Sleep Guardian work?

* To get started, just download the Lully App from the App store, plug in the Sleep Guardian device, place it under your child’s mattress, pair the sleep guardian with the app and then just answer a few questions.
* By waking your child 15-30 minutes before their night terrors typically occur, this device interrupts the unhealthy sleep cycle and prevents night terrors (this method reduces 90% of night terrors)
* The Sleep Guardian uses a smart algorithm to find just the right time to partially wake your child and gently vibrates each night (only once a night and less than 3 minutes) so that your child’s night terror is prevented but his or her sleep isn’t totally disturbed.
* The smart algorithm learns your child’s sleep patterns, makes any necessary daily adjustments and notifies you when it’s time to turn it on.
* The majority of parents start seeing immediate results within the first week and nearly 80% fewer night terrors with four weeks of use.

I just want to share my experience. My son started having night terrors around 3-5 years old, and it continued until he was about 9-10 years old. He would fall asleep, and about 1-3 hours later, he’d appear to wake up, freaking out, crying, but would usually not remember it the next day. As Christian parents, we often worried and prayed about it. We had a pastor who had a degree in Psychology, and despite our “spiritual worries”, he said it was actually a normal occurrence in a lot of children. You just love them, comfort them, and gently guide them back to their bed. So, even though it may be a very scary experience for parents to endure with their children, it will most likely naturally go away on its own. Hope this brings some encouragement to others. <3

It sounds like you have a very wise pastor. I’m glad to hear things are better. I love hearing stories of parents being gentle, yet proactive with the individual needs of their kiddos.

Our younger son occasionally has terrors- began around the age of 1 which is fairly early. I would have likely tried something like this back when they were so frequent. I’m fairly curious how effective this might be in the real world.

We have dealt with this with my daughter. She is 13 now and will still get them from time to time. Extremely scary…for her and for us. Sometimes as she is finally “waking up” and coming out of it she says over and over that it hurts. I hate that she has to deal with it. Getting lots of extra rest and sleep, and trying to eliminate stress are helpful.

Does anyone have experience with this product? My daughter gets night terrors, although they are becoming less and less as she gets older.

I don’t know if this product works, but in case it will help someone else… My niece had night terrors for years until – at the advice of her pediatrician- her parents removed all artificial food dyes from her diet. She now sleeps through the night every night and her parents can too 🙂

Does anyone know if this would work on an adult woman? My mom gets night terrors now. From what I understand they do occur in the elderly. It’s like they’re going back/reverting to their childhood.

My daughter, now 20, experienced night terrors for almost 8 years from 5 to 13. They happened as often as once every 2 weeks at their peak but they were so intense. One night she woke us up screaming while standing in our shower with cold water running still dressed in her pajamas. Usually she was just wandering around the house running into things but her eyes were open as she was screaming. It was very frightening! We pretty quickly figured out we couldn’t “wake” her up. All we could do was put her back in her bed and talk calmly to her until she calmed down and went back to sleep. She would never remember it the next morning. Of course I was always so worried and stressed I could never go back to sleep after that. I would have given anything if this was available then. Anyone that has a child with night terrors, it’s worth a try.
