Amazon Prime: New $10.99 Monthly Payment Option (or Annual Membership Only $99)
If you’re looking to score Amazon Prime benefits for only certain times of the year (i.e. during the holidays or special occasions), I just wanted to remind you about Amazon’s new monthly payment options! Amazon Prime is now offering the option to pay just $10.99/month for full Prime benefits (2-day shipping, unlimited movies, TV shows, music streaming and more!) OR $8.99/month for Prime Video.
BUT wait! Whenever you go here and click on the the “Try Prime“ drop-down menu, click on the “Try Prime” link and then click on the “See more plans” button, you’ll be able to sign up for a FREE 30-day trial and be able to choose the $99 Annual Membership which includes a 25% prepayment discount (will apply after your trial ends). That means you’ll pay as low as just $8.25 per month for full Prime benefits!

Wish my carrier was that sexy, and smiley!!! Hehe 🙂
Haha funny. We actually have a young pretty brunette. My hubby and I enjoy watching her do her rounds and watching all the men running out to greet her. She says it’s great exercise and meets lots of cool people.
I know right?!!! 😃
No kidding!
I went straight to the comment section without reading the post. After reading your comment…scroll up to the post to see the hot mail man!
Thank you so much! My free trial is up in about 2 weeks.. And I was still indecisive about paying the full $99 right away! I switched to this last night!
Oh awesome! You’re very welcome Jessica!
Oh didn’t know this was new. Mine is 10.12 monthly and I’ve been doing it like that since November
Sweet!
For the $10.99 rate – can you cancel at any time? For example, I only use prime during the holiday season. Can I buy it then?
Yes you can cancel at any time. If you need/want it for the whole year I would save up but if you only need it for a few months the $10.99 is the way to go.
I just want to clarify. Is that 25 percent that will be taken off the 99$ or is 99$ the already discounted price after the trial ? Thank you
The $99 includes the 25% discount. Hope that helps! 🙂
Yes it does! Thank you Collin!
You’re welcome!
When my prime membership ends probably get it the odd month & around Xmas. Great it is monthly now
So for those of you that have Amazon prime I have a question. Are you able to watch the ice hockey games? I don’t care about any other sports we just like catching as many of the hockey games as possible. Do you get channels like mtv and tlc and USA and nick Jr. and lifetime etc? Thank you.
No hockey games that I know of and you don’t get regular channels just what programs they have. Their UI is horrible and it can be hard to find stuff. To search; go to their web site/Amazon Video/included with Prime then you can see what they have. I prefer Netflix’s selection but Prime does have some nice stuff (Mozart in the Jungle, Doctor Who, some indie movies) I find their streaming music to be worth it.
Please clarify for me….if you already have Amazon Prime…isn’t it cheaper to pay the $99 lump sum one time a year instead of paying $10.99×12= $131.88 a year?
Yes, but some don’t want to pay a lump some, or they may just want to use it for a couple months.
If you pay all up front then you get a discount.
Don’t forget to add in tax. My Amazon Prime renewed this week and after tax it was $105 and some change.
Thanks Jenny for answering. I will check it out.
When I set up 30 days free trial, does Amazon withhold the $99 few on my credit card or is it complete free? Can I still have the two day shipping even on the free trial month? Last but not least when should I cancel before they charge me. Sorry for all those questions. I’m new to it.
Completely free. Just cancel before the 31st day
Thank you!!
And yes part of the trial is 2 day shipping
they’re great about having the exact dates/deadlines spelled out clealy for you when you login to Amazon& click manage prime membership. I even accidentally forgot to cancel 1 time, they charged my card, but when I called customer service they gladly cancelled my membership& refunded the $99 back to my card
I have been paying $7.99 a month for a few years now. I received an offer at that time for monthly billing. They have never increased the rate. Cheaper than buying it annually for me.
