I’m concerned the ice block does not come in direct contact with the sandwich. I currently wrap an ice block with a paper towel and place the sandwich on top. The paper towel prevents sweating and the bread from becoming soggy. Any moms who use this have any input?
There’s a lid and it’s a sealed container. I wouldn’t think the bread would get wet.
I think she might be concerned with it not keeping the sandwhich cold enough because there is no contact?
I’ve never actually bothered with ice packs for sandwiches, but I’ve used the ice block with cottage cheese. Keeps it cool for a couple hours.
The ice pack is the blue square pictured above. It goes on top of the sandwich container’s lid and under the smaller containers. If you click the link to the site, there are several photos showing all of the pieces of the kit.

So I received my order earlier today and I’m extremely disappointed. Not only did it take over a month to receive, but they sent me the salad kit not the lunchbox that I ordered. When I contacted them about it, they said it was because their vendor accidentally sent them the salad kits and that mistake has made the lunchboxes go on back order. But not once did they bother to contact me (and my account never mentioned anything being back ordered) regarding the back order and ask if I’d like a replacement item, refund or store credit. Nope, they just sent me the salad kit. Feels like a total bait and switch. I won’t ever order from this company again, no matter how good the deal is. If you ordered this item and haven’t received it yet, you might want to contact them about it before they send you a salad kit too.
