KetchupWOWZA! This is SUCH a *HOT* Walgreens deal… SO *HOT* that I would grab your running shoes and head there as soon as possible!!

Through June 4th, Heinz ketchup, mustard and relish bottles are on sale for just $1.99! EVEN SWEETER, it appears these bottles are triggering a FREE $5 Register Reward at checkout. Yes, a whoppin’ $5 reward. Keep in mind that this deal could be regional, but did in fact work for me here in Boise, Idaho.

That means, after factoring in the Register Reward, you’ll walk away making $3 on each condiment purchased with NO coupons needed!

Keep in mind that if you want to earn multiple $5 Register Rewards, you’ll have to purchase each condiment in a separate transaction. In addition, you CANNOT “roll” these Register Rewards – so don’t try to use the reward to pay for your next condiment purchase or else you won’t get another one back.

Check out these *HOT* deals:

I was able to get a ketchup and a relish at one store. Went to another one to get the mustard and the manager said they are notifying the individual stores to not give out the catalina. Awesome deal

  2. Rachel S.

In Oregon I see a $5 RR when u spend $15 on qualifying products. Hey are on sale for $1.99 though 🙂

  3. AJ

Has anybody from California tried this and does it work?

    • gjbim

Los Angeles. Worked on ketchup. Went back in line to buy relish and diff cashier ripped it in front of me. Got refund and left. Sounds like that’s how they’re doing damage control. That or removing from shelves.

  4. Sg

Walgreens near my home is not a gpod place to shop. I only do photo deals there.

  5. Melissa

Colorado is starting to tape signs on the counters saying the promotion is only for $15 purchases and they are ripping up the rr or throwing it away

    • Karen

I got two mayos in Aurora CO, no problem, there was a sweet old lady that rang me uo

  6. Ann

Got one RR for the ketchup but not the mustard. I did 2 separate purchases and did not roll the RR on my mustard transaction.

  7. JenniferS

No go in North Richland Hils, Tx 😕

  8. Allice

I purchased 14 in AR. No problem.

  9. Heather Blu

Is totally still working in Phoenix!! I just went to 3 stores and bought 16 products. All got the $5.00 printout just like you said it would. My cashier at one of the stores said I was the third to do this buying products one at a time to get the $5.00 RR. I would say, try another store in the Phoenix area.

  10. Gina R

I wnet to my store in Oregon and the Catalina printed but they refused to give it to me 🙁

  11. Casey

In myrtle beach sc they refused to give me the Catalina also. They were so rude about it! But my mom tried it in Pittsburgh pa and it worked for her with ketchup mustard and bacon. Good luck!

  12. Melissa

Mine got taken away, actually cashier never gave it to me

  13. mary

Its working in san diego ca although most stores are wiped out. I did get a few mayo and bacon thou

  14. Patricia

I gave up on Walgreens a long time ago. They have horrible customer service and look at you as you are worse of the worse when using coupons no matter what location I go to in Austin, TX. Plus they RR expire so soon I prefer Target since the Gift cards I can use then easier!

    • Steph

Sorry to hear that! I work as a beauty advisor for Walgreens and my location loves couponers! We always try to find additional deals – as long as the coupon policy is followed we’re happy because we get reimbursed anyway!

      • Las Vegas Limo

You’re the exception to the rule. The way Walgreens behaves now it’s as though they hate customers in general. Like I said above, doesn’t matter if it’s with a coupon or not/deal or not , the store(s) consistently have rude employees that treat you as a thief. At the moment, cvs is better or Kroger or other stores.

        • Gina G.

I wish we still had a Kroger around here, or at least a place that does double coupons! 😞

          • riss

Our local Ralph’s (kroger affiliate) stopped doing double coupons many, many years ago. Do stores still accept double coupon?

    • mtvo1

Yes, I agree with Las Vegas Limo… I live in Henderson NV and Walgreens is the worst here. They never want to help, all the employees always seem so unhappy to see anyone! No customer service skills what so ever. They just don’t care! The deal didn’t work for me and they even gave me a hard time about the razor deal! Wouldn’t take my coupons! Manager even treated me horribly!

    • Pat

      I totally agree with you.

    • Holly

I have a Walgreens right near my house that I won’t shop at. Everytime I’ve gone there had nothing but problems and the employees I’ve interacted with have not been helpful at all. I always feel like they think I’m trying to steal stuff with coupons. I drive to another Walgreens 5 miles away and they are wonderful.

  15. Lexi

I made it to Walgreens right before they closed. I got 4 packages of hot dogs, 2 packages of kraft cheese slices, 1 bottle of mayo, 2 mustards, and a small can of maxwell coffee. After the register rewards I made $12. Can’t beat that!! Thanks Hip2save!!!

  16. crystal

I bought Heinz ketchup and it produced the $5 RR! Whoop Whoop!! The store was in MN.

  17. Wendy

I got the $5 RR for mustard in NC

  18. Charlene

I don’t think Walgreens has the right to rip the catalina up! It’s a catalina marketing company glitch, nothing really to do with Walgreens! It’s totally crap if they rip it up and not give it to you.

    • mtvo1

wow…seriously? Can’t believe they ripped it up! I would file a major complaint to Walgreens! And inform the Catalina company!

      • William G

They showed me the fine print that said something like must meet purchase requirement in a single transaction. I hope no one looses their job over this error.

    • Mindy

Please don’t complaint…the cashiers are doing what they are being told to do. Sometimes we get the deal and sometimes we don’t.

  19. Peni

After reading all the comments here I tried my luck here in Phoenix. I got a Bottle of Ketchup and Mustard in 2 separate transaction and got $ 5 RR each. So it total I spent $ 4 and made $ 6. Sweet Deal. Thanks everyone for the tips.

  20. Emily

I got a Ketchup and a mustard, the cashier was super nice, let me do two transactions. At the end of my second transaction he said “oh, you do two so you get the coupons?”. I have half a mind to go back…but I didn’t want to push my luck.

  21. debi

I never shop at Walgreens, if I can help it. The manager at CVS is fabulous. He always gets my coupons through and even gives me a few clearance items free at times…i haven’t tried the Walgreens deal yet, may be too late, after reading comments

  22. Ali

I was in walgreens at 4:30pm. They were well stock and cashiers never said a thing about my 3 trips check out. Get reward on every single item. My lucky day

  23. Bonnie Avery

I got 2 each, Mayos & ketchup at my neighborhood store in Spokane. All of the relish & mustard were gone, checker told me another woman had come in & bought a bunch of those. The woman ahead of me in line had Planters in her order, but I didn’t see RR print for that. I’m guessing something got entered wrong as the weekly ad says $5 RR when you spend $15.

  24. chrissief

I went to my store here in Massapequa, NY and I bought ketchup on two separate transactions and both produced the $5 RR. Thanks.

  25. Nichele

My store was out of stock but going to go back and see if later this week I can score it….. we see.

  26. MTVO1

This deal did not work at my store in NV!

  27. Paola

It’s obvious this is a mistake and it’s really sad to see this posted as a deal when it really isn’t.

    • Allison

Agreed. I won’t go. I get along really well with my local Walgreens staff and I don’t want to be dishonest. They’re always very patient with my couponing!

    • katttro

I am afraid I have to side with Paola on this, imagine how much money the manufacturer is losing…

    • m

I love a good deal just like everyone. This deal just doesn’t feel right to me. Spreading this to everyone is only going to hurt walgreens. We all know its a glitch.

    • holly

I was wondering if anyone else felt this way as well. Then all the couponers gripe about stricter coupon policies and less good deals due to those who take advantage. I’m seeing a whole lot of folks “taking advantage. “

    • Randee

      I feel the same way!

  28. Aimee

Well avert your eyes if you don’t like it Paola and Allison. Thanks for the deal Collin. You rock, as always.

    • Grace

please avert your eyes when i take a 20$ bill from your wallet then please… same thing.. i didnt earn or deserve it,,but im going to take advantage of it… its all about how far you stretch your morals…

      • Taylor

        So true Grace

    • Paola

Hi Aimee no I will not avert my eyes. I like a good deal just like everyone else but it is obvious from Walgreens response it’s an error. I love hip2save but I’m not happy Collin posted this as a deal when clearly it is not.

  29. Millicent

I do believe this is a mistake, but with all the overcharging that goes on I doubt the loss is that bad. How many times have I checked out and saw an overcharge? Many many…and generally at CVS and Walgreens prices can be 3 times the price of same item at WalMart.
Generally the RR and Extra Bucks are “built” into the cost.
This time the consumer is actually getting a “deal” through a mistake.
I haven’t done the deal but I won’t complain at those who do it.

  30. Mindy

Got 5 bottles of Mayonase yesterday…they still have plenty in stock at the 2 stores I went to…no ketchup nor mustard left. The cashiers from both store knew about it. They got some too!

  31. Grace

It really is dishonest…i mean that’s like me buying you something at the store for 2$, you telling me to go take the 2$ out of your wallet and instead of me taking the 2-1$ bills i take a 5$… i stole from you for something thats not earned or deserved. This is the reason some stores stop doing good deals. because people take advantage…

    • m

      Agree with you.

    • grhodes6

I agree with you as well.

  32. Ta

    Still working?

    • Tammy

Heard it was a dead deal

  33. Carrie

Did not work in Fairhope, Alabama : (

  34. Carrie

I dont think is crime to go and get this deal. Is like when they offer an itean for free after RR’s and you have a really high value coupon and cash back offers from apps like ibotta , you call that a Money Maker. That’s my thought. Thanks Collin

    • mel

That’s different though. This is an incorrect error within Catalina, it’s printing when you purchase any item, not $15 worth. Honestly, as much trouble as Wags gives me for using coupons (correctly), overcharging items, and other mishaps on their end, I certainly don’t feel bad taking advantage for this type of mistake! Just consider it karma!

  35. sandy

No longer working in Coral Springs, FL. Margate, FL was out of everything.

  36. Sjp

Thanks Collin!!! I’m stocked up for a while now.

  37. Marla

There are Facebook groups specifically for glitches there are also times when stores cheat US and I don’t say anything because I don’t feel like going all the way back to the store often times because I coupon at several stores in one day it is what it is and if you can find a good deal like this go for it great job for the person that posted. The cashiers got them some also at EVERY store I went to!!

  38. Pamela

    Didn’t work in Smithtown,NY 😣

  39. Couponumbrella

Didn’t work in the SF Bay Area

  40. Ximena

    The deal was only yesterday

  41. j

    Dead deal in TX

  42. Pam

Not working in Richmond Hill, GA

  43. NolaGirl

It didn’t work in New Orleans or Chalmette. The Chalmette store had shelf tags that read $5 RR with a $15 purchase.

  44. Marie

This was a Catalina glitch that people took advantage of. The add clearly stated you had to purchase 15 dollars of qualifying items in order to receive the 5 dollar reward. We had people telling us that they heard of this glitch from various websites like this one. Catalina was notified and since it was the weekend a hot fix couldn’t be in place . We had people threaten to call corporate that we were only letting people buy what the add stated and not ring thing up so the glitch would work.

  45. Jennifer

Have to spend $20 to get the RR in central IL

  46. Aimee

Your analogy sucks Grace but high horse is strong. Cheers!

  47. Aimee

Let me also say that Colin did NOTHING wrong regardless of “morals” I posting this deal. My Walgreens did not have signs posted saying there was any minimum purchase required. It only stated the sale price of $1.99. My manager said her store had received a memo from corporate limiting customers to 3 like items, so 3 ketchups, mustards etc. My manager stated this was so no one would clear the shelf. She never said it was a glitch. Some of you need to back off before you judge. To claim Colin should have known it was a glitch is pretty rude.

    • Missy

Actually, it’s in the ad, top of page 2 in mine, that you get $5 RR for spending $15 in select products in that box. Probably what happened was someone bought maybe a ketchup or whatever and got the RR w/out spending $15, tried a few more items to verify it was a ‘glitch’ and posted on their blog or whatever, then it just spread to other blogs & savings sites. AFA morals, I have no problem taking advantage of their mess up b/c to me it’s karma for all the times I got screwed over on their end.. price not ringing up correctly, coupons not going through or they just wouldn’t take them for no reason. so suck it Wags! It’s couponers revenge!

I am really surprised they killed the deal yesterday with it being a holiday! They must have paid the IT person some extra $$ to get it fixed ASAP!

  48. Liz

They were all removed from the shelves by Walgreens at my store in Boca Raton, FL

  49. Lorri

No Catalina $5 in Hobart, IN

  50. Melissa Pinkelton

I absolutely ran out last night at 9 pm and purchased 3 relish and 3 mayo’s … I got 6 RR’s for $5 each … and I have NO shame in my game … I have no issues with taking advantage of the glitches … I didn’t even know it was a glitch until today when I found out that the “glitch” was corrected … Collin only posted the deal that she was informed about from others in the field … the manufacturer is not going to be hurting at all from this glitch …and all of this drama from the postings that are trying to shame us for taking advantage of the glitch .. GIVE ME A BREAK … no one here is knocking over a church … everyone can just chill …
