I did last weeks deal. Picked up the penny items and 3 boxes of colored pencils. Then they let me put $3.50 on a gift card. So now I will go in and do the same thing with this weeks deals 🙂
So you bought 3 boxes of colored pencils for $1.50, put $3.50 on a gift card to make the $5 minimum purchase and then they let you get the 1cent deal?
I went and Just Bought the Sharpie pack for $1.00 got 3 and the penny deal. The cashier said The sharpie normal cost is 5.99 so that lets you do penny deals already. I didnt know until someone on hip2save said they did it also.
Just be aware, not all stores will let you do that. Since the ad states the penny deals are with a $5 minimum purchase and stores are watching out for this now, they may require you to have a $5 subtotal after sale prices in order to get the penny deals.
Great deals! Will be heading there Sunday for sure 😀
Glad to hear it!
I was glad they put Compositions For a penny have those in my kiddos list. And The Pencils and Markers Great Deal will go early Sunday 😊 Thanks Collin Never knew they did penny deals until Hip2save posted the deals.
You’re welcome Rose!
Can you use Office Depot rewards earned from paper to buy paper and still earn new rewards?
No, I learned that the hard way and had to return then rebuy them
Rewards do not roll. You only get back what you paid out of pocket
Just bought the composition books last week for 75 cents each 😞
Can I use Office Max/Office Depot rewards in different transactions or do I need to use them all at one time?
I don’t know what’s the problem with my local store but every single year and every single week, even if you go in on Sunday morning, they are always out of stock on these great sales. I don’t know if they let employees purchase them all or what but it is like this every time.
Darn! Hoping you can grab the deals this week Amy!
Me too. Last year I had no problem getting them. Now I’ve gone first thing Sunday and the bins are empty. It’s a little ridiculous.
Are you asking an employee? Our tends to keep the items to the side to keep people to the limits.
An employee told me that people are buying these sale items online on Saturday and doing an in store pick up for Sunday. When they pick them up in store they have an associate return them and then resell them at the sale price. I think that this is wrong but again, people working “around” the system. I just wait until Wednesday or Thursday and my office depot restocks most of what I need. The rest I have Walmart price match. I have learned that any deal I get is a blessing and try not to dwell on the ones I may miss out on.
Sometimes the items are online and i think you can get free shipping to store or free shipping over 9.99.
Would the $1 Bic Stationary Coupon from 7/24 SS be reduced to $0.25 for the 12-Pack of Bic pens or will Office Depot allow me to get a $0.75 overage?
The office depot in my area, wouldn’t take manufactured coupons on sale items. I found that strange.
are the elmers glue sticks a good deal? or should I hold out for something cheaper. on ODD’s kinder list it requests Qty 24 purple Elmer’s glue sticks
Target has Elmer’s purple glue sticks (12 pack – .21oz) for $3 thru sat.
Starting Sunday, Target’s ad shows a 6 pack of Elmer’s purple glue sticks for 99 cents. Not sure how size of glue sticks compare though.
I’m a teacher, and I stock up at this price!
My K5 kiddo needed 12. I guess there’s a lot of glueing going on in kindergarten this year. 🙂
My son Kinder requests 48 glue sticks, I am definitely going to Office Depot this Sunday.
Did I totally miss the 25 cent crayon deals? I haven’t seen them anywhere. I feel like they where that cheap last year.
Office Max/Office Depot had them for $0.25 a couple of weeks ago. I’m assuming that the price will go back down again.
Our kmart has 24 crayola crayon packs for .25. But other stores have .50 for crayola and .25 for cra.z.art. crayons.
my office depot does not take any manufacture coupons.
You have to go early on Sunday morning to get the best selection. Also, you have to look in places other than the designated sale places for some of the items. Last week, I found a display of the $1 uniball pens in a aisle separate from the sale items and the regular aisle for ink pens. Sometimes, Dollar Tree and Wlamrt prices are cheaper.
Bought the glue last week for $1 wish I would have waited!
Is there a place where I can see the full ad? TIA!
Officedepot.com or you can download app 😊
http://www.officemax.com, select weekly ad, scroll down and select next weeks ad
Thank you! 😊
I won’t bother as they never have any sale items in stock. two weeks in a row without any luck
Does Walmart price match these prices?
If you did the battery or copy paper rebate items this week, is there anything on your receipt or did they give a printout saying you qualified? I have no indication that my items will get a rebate back??
I bought one pack of battery on Sunday and already received confirmation email of my $13.98 rewards. You can also check your reward account online, mine is the ready to print/use.
I wont be able to get to the store on sunday darn.church&mil surprise party.I hope they still have these awesome items on monday.Loving these deals every week. Thanks h2s.
Is there a way to proceed match penny deals at Staples/Walmart/Target? No officemax/depot close by 🙁
Yes, you can price match the non Office Depot brand items if you take the ad to Target and Staples. I went to Target this morning and purchased both the Crayola markers and Ticonderoga pencils for $0.25 and $1.00, respectively. They will not match the $0.01 items because they are contingent upon a $5.00 in-store purchase. Hope this helps!
I see a lot of people talking about price matching at Walmart, I thought they stopped the price matching back in May??? I’ve only gotten 2 things from Walmart and they are the Crayola twistable crayons and colored pencils because they were cheaper, everything else needed has been from Office Depot because of the penny deals and yes I’m there when they open the doors on Sunday morning and have not had any issues with the advertised products being out of stock. I see a few things on the ad for 7/31 that I will be picking up but just to remind everyone the ad states for the 1 cent, 25 cent and $1.00 deals there is a limit of 3 and the store I go to will not let you split your transactions just to make it fair for all customers.
I went in again today and our store was offering the longer pencil boxes for .01 because they were out of the others. They also were having Teacher Appreciation Day. I got two free bags, 2 pencil pouches with items in them, a coupon for 25% off my total till Aug. 30 and another coupon card for 20% off my total for 3 months!! My boxes ended up being free after the 25%!
I knew about teacher appreciation, but need to get there tomorrow.
I’ll do this tinnitus thanks Collin..
I arrived at Office Depot at 9:40 AM and there were already three cars in the parking lot before the store opened at 10:00 AM. By 10:00 AM, there were thirty people waiting to go in. While the store was well stocked on the majority of items, the erasers, pens, and poly folders were sold out within fifteen minutes.
I had success with price matching the Crayola markers and Ticondergoa pencils at Target but they require the hard copy ad.
I went to Office Depot for the first time today. I bought a lot of paper and got signed up for the rewards program. How soon will I get my money back in rewards? The cashier was vague…just said it could take “awhile”.
It takes about 5 weeks after the end of the promo. Although, sometimes you do get them sooner than that.
My store was sold out in less than two hrs of markers, pencils, erasers, ect… All they told me was too bad. Really ? Guess it’s time to find another store that will price match. Anyone able to go to Target or Staples to price match these items ? Or is everyone going there to get the same deals and they are sold out at those stores too ? Trying to shop for four children and get some great back to school deals but this is getting fustrating. Lol
Check back a little later in the week to see if they’re restocked. They never know ahead of time what will be on their truck, but maybe they can at least tell you when their truck comes and you can check back then.
Can you use your rewards number more than once in one day? Say i went to two different stores would I be able to get deals at both with one rewards number?
I’ve got a friend that works at Office Depot and this is what I was told: Their corporate office is being very strict about limits this year. Also, they are no longer substituting items. Once something sells out that’s it (that was a directive from corporate)…and no rainchecks on any items that have limits. If your local store is sold out, ask when they get their truck and check back then.
Most of the stores are being quite strict about the limits. Like it was mentioned by Christine, the ad states a limit of 3…the ad also states this is a limit of 3 PER HOUSEHOLD OR BUSINESS. The stores are being told by their corporate office to adhere to limits. This doesn’t excuse any associate being rude to customers, but customers also need to be considerate of others that are coming in for the same deals. The stores want to make it as fair as possible to all customers.
