I did lots of research and finally ordered the Shark NV522. I have 3 cats and the pickup on carpet is important to me. So I just got this vacuum, put it together and did the test. I used a Dyson on the living room floor and then used the Shark. Yeah…the Shark picked up a lot of what my cleaned, up to spec Dyson left behind. If you’re on the fence as a Dyson owner…make the leap.
I love this vacuum! It is one of my favorite things. There are lost of tools for whatever you need to vacuum, the canister is easy to empty and clean, and the auction is phenomenal.
Bought this a week ago from Walmart because they had a very good price. After a couple of weeks of reading reviews, I decided to give it a try. So glad I did! Easy to put together. I first cleaned my living room and then used the small dust brush for the baseboards. I even passed it over my blinds! Next, I did a microfiber sofa because we have a small dog that sheds a lot. This vacuum picked up everything, highly recommended!

So I love my shark. Best vacuum ever. But I’ve had mine for four years and it comes with a long warranty. Whatever I did the other day, I put a hole in my vacuum hose. They’re just under $30 online to replace it but I called up and they asked me for the model number and the number stamped on the electric prong. They date stamp when they were made on the electric prong. It was 2012 and still under warranty… so, without having to even prove there was a hole in it, they sent me a new hose and handle. The new one is even better than the old one. My old one was pretty stiff and was the only thing I didn’t like about the vacuum. This new one is not stiff at all and I’m thrilled! So they are great vacuums with great customer service as well!!

Want to buy this, but when I go to the listing, it says “check stores” then comes up that it’s not available at a store witihin 250 miles of my zip code. It won’t let me put it in my shopping cart and buy it online. Anyone have suggestions? When I went to the shopping cart that was empty, there was a link to go back and buy it for $225 and pick it up at the store. Are there only a certain number available at the lower price?
