What a steal for cloth diapers! We use bum genius and LOVE. Them!

We use bum genius too! Love love love them.

These diapers look cheap…just beware that you might get what you pay for! Some people love Alvas (look similar to these) and you can get them for $5/diaper.

I mix between cloth and disposables. You ladies got any tips on a good cleaning for the cloth. I’ve tried washing them longer, diff cycles, with even a bit of bleach but there’s is always a slight lingering smell. Or is that just the way with cloth diapers? Thx

        • Liz

I never had smell. I joined a Facebook group science behind cloth diapering or something like that and followed their wash routine.

Rinse warm. Hot wash with large scoop tide (all free and clear if allergic to tide) and 1/4 cup borax. Water level should just cover diapers and no more so they agitate. Then I stuck them in the dryer. Same set for two kids and never had smell.

You can also “strip” them to get rid of buildup if you have smell. RLR strip and then a little bleach is what that group recommended.

Do you do a rinse cycle before you do a wash cycle? I didn’t have stink issues if I rinsed before the wash and if I used ride or gain

I second joining the Fluff Love and CLoth Diaper Science group. read through the rules, then you can make a post where you put a pic of your washer, and tell them the type of cloth you have and an Admin will work on a routine with you.

Definitely will look into these groups. Thanks so much for all your tips everyone! Really appreciate it 🙂

what detergent to you use? You should use the recommended amount for a large load.

        • Laura

Try drying outside! The sun will help bleach them and clothes dried on the line smell great! I always felt weird wanting to smell my cloth diapers because they smelled great!

We also rinse (cold water, little bleach..let it sit in bleach water for about 20 min before starting the machine) then large wash setting (hot with cold rinse, and free and clear detergent) . Even if the load looks like a mini or small, still wash on large. Remember you are trying to wash away all that pee and funk! Alternatively , instead of bleach, many ppl use oxuclean powder.

Have you ever tried boiling your diapers? I use gdiapers and I was getting a funky ammonia smell. I emailed them and they told me to boil them. As weird as it sounds, it worked!! Smell is completely gone. Something about the rolling action from the boiling is what helps. I usually boil them 2 times, 30 mins each. The first time you will see how nasty your water is and what was stuck in your diapers. Hope this helps.

    Awesome deal, Thanks!

      You’re welcome Julie!

I wish they were a bit more gender neutral. Anyone use these?

    • Liz

They look a little like what used to be baby land. I didn’t like them. Too cheap. I did Alva’s. My favorites were Anababy aka JcTrade. They were about $5 each with inserts and really great diapers. Adorable prints and patterns and lasted through two kids. I’m all about cheap but baby land was too cheap.

I thought about buying them but most of the reviews seem to be discount in exchange for honest opinion. Wish there was a filter for those.

I’ve used bumgenius, Charlie Banana & Funzzibunz for my children. I’ve always used Hard Rock detergent powder to wash these diapers. My youngest one is almost potty trained now & I would like to sell these one. If anyone would like to buy used cloth diapers, please email me dealslucky@gmail.com
