I got a free 8×10 with the last offer and it didn’t turn out so good. Very grainy and pixelated. The camera used was a high end SLR (not a cell phone). Any suggestions or recommendations for ordering a quality print?
High end DSLR’s can still be grainy/out of focus. That can happen if the setting weren’t right or if it was over edited.
Walgreens photos are no longer photos. They are simply prints. They are printed with some cheap type of printer. No photos, even professional ones come out good. Not sure if all the Walgreens “photo labs” have converted to this awful printer yet but ours has and its not even worth the paper it’s printed for me to get a FREE one. :/
I agree. Their prints never turn out well for me, but I love their canvases when they go on sale.
The freebie print from last week was messed up when I got it. It actually took effort to put something that messed up in the envelope.
As well as the guy at the photo counter really questioned it being free & asked me a couple of times “are you sure you don’t have to buy something?”. I told him that it was an online code, they have them often & it makes 8×10 free & this was all done and “paid” online with the code.
I had had good experiences all up until this.

Hey kw, I actually picked up the three recent freebies yesterday, and the person also question it being free. I have always had good experience up until yesterday, and the manager came over and said there’s limiting one free print per 6 months (store by store basis). She said she would throw away my other two prints too…
Try a different Walgreens if you have multiple near you. This happened to me with professional photos. One Walgreens had great quality but another didn’t of the same picture.
The last print I got I was not satisfied . They had the colors in her dress wrong
Now I need to make a menu for my kids birthday and print it….. Would be cute for the food table.

I absolutely love the quality of these prints. I use a high quality DSLR camera to take photos and the prints I have ordered in 8×10 size through these freebies have been even more colorful and clear than they look on my computer screen at home! Using these freebies to stock up on photos to display at my daughter’s 2nd birthday party next month 🙂

If anyone is looking for a different idea than family photos, I got this idea from another Hip poster last year. They do holiday themed 8×10’s. All you need to do is google say Fall Subway Art or Christmas Subway art , then click on the “images” tab. You’ll want to find pictures that are at least 900×720, anything less when you resize to 8×10 will come out grainy/blurry. So you can roll over each picture and at the bottom will show the size. You’ll also want to avoid pictures that have watermarks across them. Once you find a picture right click your mouse and select Save As. Then upload to Wags. Before ordering, you’ll want to select resize to make sure it’s cropped correctly, then order it.
My sister loved this idea, so I’ve been working on ordering 8×10’s for her as a housewarming gift the past few months. I ordered a print through my acct and through my mom’s Wags acct just to go faster!. I bought a really nice 8×10 frame from Hobby Lobby.
For the photo’s, I didn’t want them to stick together inside the fame, so I bought page protector sleeves and inserted them inside a pronged folder. I have – New Year’s, Valentine’s, St Patrick’s, Easter, Summer, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving so far. With this free 8×10 code, I can get Christmas and Birthday and be done!

Did Walgreens give you all a limit cause I tried to order and try say since I already got a free print on 5 sept freebie that I can only get a free print once a month !
No. I ordered on the 5th, then this morning with no issues. Same cashier that got my print last wk, got my print today. It’s different codes, so IDK why they’d tell you such a thing that you can only get 1 print a month. Maybe send it to a different Walgreens?
Hey Can – I ran into that issue. My store is saying they are limiting to one free print perhousehold once every 6 months now…. I think they’re cracking down on us 🙁

It expires on Wednesday, 9/14/16, at 11:59pm Central. However, it may expire earlier at the discretion of Walgreens. If it does not, you may be able to use the code a couple of hours later than the expiration.
