I’m expecting a baby in a month– does anyone have recommendations on how many diapers sizes/quantities to stock up on? I know they say not to buy too many of the newborn size– how many is too many? Any advice would be great!

I had maybe 8 jumbo packs of newborns and then we were onto size ones. Walmart will let you exchange diapers without a receipt as long as its the same brand/price. I did hat when we went from size 1 to 2. I will say that I was not impressed with seventh generation diapers. I bought some on Amazon during a really good sale and my daughter leaks and blows out of them. I have 3 jumbo packs unopened that I’m going to donate.

Really? It must just depend on the baby. I’m really picky (don’t like luvs, pampers baby dry or store brands) but we really like these. Only thing we like better is honest but these are cheaper so we bounce back and forth depending on the sales.

We didn’t use any newborns. Mine was born 7lb5oz and, while the newborn sizes we did have from samples and such were nice, the nurses put him in size 1s folded down, so we did too. 1s are cheaper than newborns so that worked out well. They say about 1000 size 1s is a good start. And always use hard to exchange ones (from Amazon, for example) first.

My first was 8 1/2 lbs, we only used what we took home from the hospital in newborn size, then on to size 1.
My second was 10 1/2 lbs. He never wore a newborn diaper. Right into size 1 in the delivery room.
I’d recommend no more than a couple small pkgs of NB diapers, not a big box, that way you can return what you don’t use if it is unopened.

The hospital gave us a bunch of newborn. I ended up only using two jumbo packs before moving up to 1s. My baby was 7lb 6oz leaving the hospital

I used 2 boxes and 6 bags of newborn. 5 bags were hospital 20 ct. one 32 ct. box 88 and box 128.

if you have a target registry you can login and they will give you store credit on any return with out a receipt with no problem. I have already returned 4 boxes of diapers as we had was to many size 1..

If you haven’t got in board with the ibotta app yet, it is really great and so easy to use. Plus when you redeem your first rebate you get a $10 credit added to your account.

I found my size 4 at Walmart for $9.99. I used $2 coupon from wipes and $2 Ibotta and got the size 4 pack for $6! That’s a great deal for me!
