Remember This: A New Year's Tradition

This New Year’s Day, start a new tradition! Grab an empty jar and some strips of paper, and write down every single good thing that happens throughout the year, no matter how big or small.

Remember This: A New Year's Tradition

You can always find something good in each day, and sometimes we need a reminder to focus on the good in our lives.

Remember This: A New Year's Tradition

I’m encouraging my kids to write things down, too! There’s a lot to be said for focusing on positive things and being overall happier!

I should probably do this. I’m such a negative Nancy.

Me too. I am such a negative person, but I insist I am not negative rather, I am a realistic person. :/

That is a great idea! When you start “looking” for things to be thankful for…they are easy to find!

In my family we write down goals/ predications for the next year on January 1st and read them on December 31st. It is fun to see things what things come true. One year I thought everyone would put down get a puppy. I was so sure that I pushed my husbands into getting one. When we read all the things, I was the only person to write anything about a dog, lol.

What a great idea! Now, I’ve got something great to do with the Folgers canister.

We did this in 2016. Did awesome until august and then started to slack. I had a cute calendar with sayings and we wrote notes on the back. Im so glad we did it – truly reminded me of many, many things to be grateful for. I needed that lesson!

We did this when I was a kid a read them at Thanksgiving.

I want to do this!! ….And THEN at the end of the year, make a collage of all the slips of paper! Any tips from anyone about the color or size of the strips, to make them look way cute as a collage?? (Young adult/adult looking) I’m stumped!!
